Reported dressing-room bust-up

More of a case of Bruno shouting at Mctominay while Mctomiany just stand hiding behind Maguire, who is enjoying watching the scene of Martinez clashing with Lindelof.

Nobody talks about a Fight Club except Bruno, and maybe Harry after wrestling Greek police department.

Good news i would say. Wished they showed more fight on the pitch instead but beggars and all that..

Good tidings at last.

Hopefully there is some truth to it. It’ll be nice to have some confirmation with one of the guys turning up on Wednesday with a busted lip or black eye.

Probably the club. Letting the fans know that the players actually give a a shit.

Nobody looks bad coming out of this story in my opinion.
To be honest this is how it feels.

I remember Rooney telling a tale of how he and Carrick were fuming after a home defeat, but when they got into the dressing room, Lingard & Pogba were dancing about like they'd just won the FA Cup.

Its all about attitude and mentality, can you imagine the likes of Keane or Robson meekly accepting a home defeat to Brighton?

I'd honestly slap them

Would rather they have strong emotions as long as they channel them constructively

Wasnt it training the day after? Not that that's much better.

Dressing room / training bust-up stories always sound like a huge deal when they come out, but they're really not. This is completely normal and expected after a frustrating home loss.

This team is rotten from head to tail. We're winning nothing as long as we're owned by these parasites. The only time they will leave is when they start to lose money. Maybe time for the fans to down tools and strike the club. Stop going to the games. Stop watching the games. Don't buy gear. Drive these ticks out of the team. They're obliterating it. Aside from the crazy valuation they have set for the team, how many billions will it take to reduce the debt and get the facilities up to date?

This is such a weird comment, why would you be intimidated to shout as someone in a public place for something that is completely fair? You’re not down some dark alley with a nutter where you might get shanked.

You can still have seven shades of shit knocked out of you in a public place.

I would actually pay good money to watch an action man in this forum, who calls McTominay every name under the sun, to say their critique to his face.

The person would be horizontal in 5 seconds.

 I remember reading / watching that. These are the sort of allegations that when coming from other posters I’d usually chalk up to the whole old man yelling at cloud thing. But to think it was actually that pathetic a culture, is mental. At one of the world’s biggest football clubs too. Would have even under Jose as well - a strict disciplinarian.

It would bring me great joy to see this drama play out on the pitch

No one has a leg to stand on to be honest when calling out another player because the chances are that player was just as bad. The whole team need to have a long hard look at them selves and rather than blame each other. Put the blame on the whole team. Work out what went wrong and start working together FFS. And someone needs to tell Rashford football is a team sport not an individual one so start passing into the box a lot more!

That the dressing room is in meltdown, like a wax clown entering the sun's corona, is only a rumor from a garbage tabloid, but given the circumstances is completely believable.

If Keane was in dressing room after the game, some heads will roll.

It wasn't after the game.

It was the day after in training and Rooney turned the music off and removed the music player.

Rooney said in hindsight they weren't doing anything wrong.

Yes because the other 9 starters, 5 subs, staff and managers would just watch the scrap and spectate. You’ve got some weird image of McT going round flooring whoever criticises him, he seems a like a very nice lad not some nut job.

Just recently someone on here called him a bag of shit.

You think he'd take that with a pinch of salt?

It's immaterial anyway. People here are just cyber action men. Doubt very much anyone would replicate what they say about him on here to his face.

So in this analogy Bruno is McTominay's boss? No wonder we are struggling!

That would no doubt have been over the third goal, where you certainly could have an argument over which of the two ought to have marked Joao Pedro.

I mean that just rude rather than a useful criticism but again why would his reaction be to immediately whack someone? I doubt Bruno shouted ‘Scott you’re a bag of shit’ as funny as that image is to me. He probably just said ‘you’re messed up for the first goal, you’re shit’ and McT replied ‘mate read redcafe, you’re shit as well!’

Either way, I’ve met very few people whose immediate reaction to an insult is to use violence. Some horrible bastards yea but, as said, McT actually seems like a decent chap.

Dressing room bust ups are normal, I'm fine with this.

One potential concern however is EtH's very objective, matter-of-fact communication style - I suspect it's hard to really connect with him. Resulting in senior players having more opportunity to express themselves.
Why do you suspect that? Based on what?

Not to jump back on Pogba but he was the one player there in that situation that was untouchable. That kind of mentality spreads. Pogba could be going around laughing in the opposition dressing room after a loss and he would probably still be playing the next game at that point. It’s not good. We really did turn into Disneyland. Winning at football is down the list of priorities at this club coming from the owners down. They set shitty standards and the players wallow in it. We find a good and serious player and surround him with second choices, old players, compromises left right and centre, players playing out their crazy deals and in a stadium and training facility that isn’t up to standard. All this while while the clubs around us are hoovering up much better players and moving out unsuitable players. The Manager here is always just a bandaid on a bullet hole with these owners. Standards have been lost. The manager challenges the players to raise standards again and loses the dressing room. Rinse and repeat.

Yeah I was making this point recently, that this culture amongst the players has survived high standards from all our past managers (probably except RR) and then those with high expectations on general discipline (which I presume wouldn't include Ole but would certainly include Mourinho, LVG).

I find this idea of ten Hag introducing new standards to be nothing but a PR exercise. For it to be successful under him he'll need total backing from the club to do it, however, that can only last as long as enough players stay with him. As soon as he can't field 11 players that are totally behind him then he's finished just like Ole and Mourinho.

Is anyone at all surprised that there was a dressing room bust up after the Brighton match, the surprise would be if there wasn't one?
We are it seems back to the stage were the only thing 'United' about the team is they are all wearing the same kit!

There were a lot of injuries we know and a lot of the 'deck chairs' had to be rearranged on the first team 'deck', but it was awful to watch and the result was inevitable after the ease in which the opposition scored the first goal.

A lot of players seeming to be playing for themselves, this is very bad situation in any team, a real headache for the manager with more 'dust ups' to come.

In terms of development stages of Forming; Storming, Norming and Performing, we have a long way to go, yet!
