Reported dressing-room bust-up

Dressing room bust ups are normal, I'm fine with this.

One potential concern however is EtH's very objective, matter-of-fact communication style - I suspect it's hard to really connect with him. Resulting in senior players having more opportunity to express themselves.

To be honest players such as MCT have always remained invisible in the hope that their lack of technical ability will go unnoticed. I feel there’s a strange sense of self-consciousness that dominates his play. Not surprised if Bruno called this out

Steams in commits one foul to lay down a ‘marker’ and that’s his work done. Spends the rest of the game avoiding the ball and the play. I don’t get how people haven't been seeing this for years. The same kind of player as Rice  Better than JWP? Far too many of our fans are obviously sentimental mugs > objective football fans

Why is Bruno getting blamed.

They should all be at each others throat. Gutless performance ..so about bloody time.

Andy Mitten was determined to pretend that our formation had been leaked despite at least one Brighton player and their manager saying how they’d been taken by surprise with our formation/tactics. And the flow of the game making it obvious that happened. You could clearly see that Brighton had to tweak their approach to get into the game, after struggling for the first 15-20 minutes.
It being leaked on Twitter doesn’t mean Brighton saw it or even believed it. There is literally a Twitter account created in the last 6 weeks that’s posting about our injuries days before they’re in the media. The leaks have undoubtedly returned unfortunately.

Good if true

I think as long as the manager is still in control I see no problem with it. It can be healthy and shows that they care... Hopefully that will inflame their senses and instill some fire in their bellies for the next round of fixtures.

I remember watching Sealey, Bruce and Pallister constantly go at each other hammer and tongs...at times though it looked like it would spill over into a full scale fight

Then later Schmeichel came in and dragged even the quiet ones Irwin and Parker into their verbal bashings. Actually anyone within earshot wasn't safe from Big Pete.

On pitch and dressing room rows are normal and are part of the game. I'd be worried if they didnt happen.

Meanwhile Martial got demotivated because Zlatan fecking Ibrahimovic took his number. And Sancho got mental issue because he can't do push ups

As long as they didn’t get themselves arrested it’s all fine. It’s the new standard.

Normal = Row in the dressing room after a defeat.
Not normal = information leaking from the dressing room.
Normal= Dropping a player who isn't training properly ( except at local level when the team manager is actually his Dad)
Not Normal= the avalanche of negative media reports on United ,it's endless.
What's tomorrow ? oh yeah.. Kane delighted at winning goal and how United are laughable at not bidding for him. This story has ran for a week now if though it's a lie on all levels.

People saying we got rid of the leaks, how? Leaks change all the time.
You've got a couple of players in there who aren't wanted, and haven't left even though they're 5-6th choice. Plus you've got the golden boy who main focus is his image in the media

Maguire, Sancho, Rashford. Any of these could've leaked what happened

That means that at least some of them actually care enough to do something.

What's the account?

I am 100% sure there is some finger-pointing once the game ended. 2 goals came from the right and 1 came from the left. McTominay and Dalot cannot escape any responsibility so too for Eriksen, Rashford. It will change anything, the answer is No. What we have is a team in chaos:

Maguire, Martial, Sancho and McTominay knows they are not wanted. Onana, Casemiro, Martinez, Antony, Rashford and Bruno knows they are undroppable. Dalot and AWB knows one of them will be sold eventually.

ETH has a crisis on his hands, trying to move players and now it has come back to bite him. He may not survive this unless everyone's in United backs him. He might be gone in November as we find someone to steady the ship. Season flush down the drain as usual.

Returned? Did they ever go away?!
We had some stability last year I think. I don’t remember much leaking post World Cup - everything seemed in order with ETH in complete control - various issues have seemingly shat all over that control this season. Ownership issue, senior management vs disgruntled staff regarding Greenwood, Antony and sancho. Leaks everywhere and not a club United in any way. Plus we have lots of injuries and have had 3 very tough games to start the season.

This sort of thing happened in my secondary school football team when we lost  Anger, arguments, scuffles, borderline scuffles.

I would be very surprised if this did not happen with professional athletes as well. There’s lots of testosterone around and there is a lot on the line.

If it did happen I don’t think it’s anything newsworthy really.

Every. Single. Day. There is bad news. This is relentless.
Or an opportunistic media sees the chaos as the perfect chance to generate clicks. I'm sure every team has bust-ups, particularly after a bad loss like that.

This is the best news we’ll get this week sandwiched in between the thumping by Brighton and the thumping we’ll get by Bayern.

I rather a bust up then Milly Rock dancing given how dire we’ve been this season

It would be a bad sign if the players weren't arguing after three losses in five.

What's important is the more general vibe in the dressing room, not whether these flashpoints occur within that.

Go on then. Punch each others lights out. I want to see missing teeth and band aids on faces at the next match.

More passion shown here than on the pitch for sure.

Link?

I would be very disappointed if there was not a bust up in the dressing room after getting schooled at home by a team that costs a fraction of the Utd team.

I would be far more worried if there was apathy among the players after such a game.

These things are not abnormal , even at successful clubs.
Agreed!

One thing that has been missing this season is the passion and fire that we saw last season. The defence would fire each other up and celebrate tackles etc. None of that this season. If anything the whole team has seemed apathetic.

they would have to win a tackle first in fairness

Unless you're 6 foot+, in prime physical shape, etc, I guarantee that you would not have yelled at McTominay.

Love how the net gives fans cyber-courage and turns them into peak Mike Tyson.
This is such a weird comment, why would you be intimidated to shout as someone in a public place for something that is completely fair? You’re not down some dark alley with a nutter where you might get shanked.

Thought Henderson and Lingard the leakers were gone?:lol:

My money is on a wag, footballer goes home saying how it all kicked off, wags are all over the media hacks for return favours/coverage.

If no-one is unhappy or arguing after this start to the season THEN you'd have a problem.
You want your players ranting at eacfh other with that appalling display, as long as it stops there and doesn't harbour resentments and players not fighting for each other.

My money is on the the outside bet of Rashford. Poor body language, clear drop of standards and effort in-game and has the motive that he's very sympathetic to a good friend in Sancho, who very likely has his ear. There's motive for Rashford seeing his friend outcast from the squad and every chance that he feels disillusioned with ten Hag for his handling of the situation.

I support ten Hag's handling of the situation, but it's easy to see where Rashford could be compromised.

Ah so we have reached the "disaffected fringe players and staff leak negative stories" stage of our usual Player power-play attempt to get a manager sacked. Next up we will have same players / staff taking comments by seemingly "Loyal" EtH players totally out of context and adding in that players are "bewildered" or "frustrated" at the coaching methods used or not used.

The next stage will be "clear the air" meeting or social event that fails to unite the team, closely followed by "rumours" of the club checking on the availability of other manager candidates.

These players have form and shouldn't be believed. At this stage Erik should just keep going with the young players and build for the future. I'm sick of our experienced players who have underperformed any time the going has got tough.
