Redcafe Snooker

This guy is needing two/three attempts to win a frame.. how is leading by 2 is beyond me.

Ronnie's safety game isn't as good, which wouldn't be a problem if he was taking his chances.

Selby's just purposely ruining the frames so break building becomes difficult, as he wins the tactical battle every time. He's crawling towards the finish line, and I'm pretty certain he'll get there eventually. Ronnie needs to spot on with his potting and positional play and that isn't happening today, so I think he'll need a mircale to win it under the circumstances. Selby's game plan, well... As said before, it's a legitimate tactic, but it's getting me very close to turning off the tv altogether. I'm getting increasingly bored watching this final.

Yep I feel the same. A Ronnie whitewash would have been at least entertaining.

Stuff this, Selby is going to bore his way to a world title. I'm going to watch some paint dry instead.

Ronnie is making mistakes too now. He just can't get in the balls. He's always on the cushion or snookered.

Sort of game plan this you'd expect a club player to play.. negative and boring as feck.

I hope Ronnie doesn't hold back in the post match interview. Piss on this boring cnuts parade.

It's all over for Ronnie, you can just tell. Bah humbug. This is why I'd have preferred Robbo in the final, could have at least been decent to watch.

It's not as if O'Sullivan's been brilliant. He's had some terrible frames as well.

Can't see any way back for Ronnie now, Mark has got him where he wants him with he's negative ways. Not great to watch but it's what Mark has to do.

Hope we are both wrong, but am inclined to agree. Shame, but Selby's grinding game is so effective. The number of times Ronnie gets to the table only to be tight on the cushion or rolled behind a colour has been unbelievable.

I can't believe people talk the same bollocks about "negative" play as they do in football. As if there is a "right" way to play the game.

We're not talking about underhand tactics like diving, Ebdon used some deplorable time wasting tactics that I certainly didn't agree with but all Selby is doing is making it very difficult for O'Sullivan and controlling the pace. It's match play of the highest quality.

Most of it I image is just frustration about the final being a poor match to watch. I would agree Selby is playing a effective game plan and it's total different to what player like Ebdon use to do which I would say is cheating.

It is, but watching free-flowing snooker is obviously more entertaining. Crikey, I remember watching Cliff Thorburn and Terry Griffiths in the 1980s. Both masters of match play and break building, but you'd have rather watched Jimmy White any day.

He's making it very difficult for a lot of people to keep watching.
