Redcafe Snooker

Ronnie not teally got going yet and Selby looks so much better than he did yesterday. Didn't think it would be Ronnie's turn to be hanging on in the session.

Maiden forever indeed

This isn't really fun to watch if I'm honest. Selby playing the exact correct game to beat Ronnie though, Ronnie really looks like he doesn't want to be there at the moment. Needs to see his psych dude at the interval.

Selby certainly getting the run of the balls at the moment, the break couldn't come soon enough for Ronnie

At the moment it's difficult to imagine Ronnie winning a frame, let alone the match. What a difference a day makes.

It's awful to watch, snooker at it's absolute worst.. bit like Chelsea and their football but I suppose Selby and he's fans will argue it's got to be this way to beat Ronnie

Overreacting how? Mark Selby is doing everything he can to frustrate Ronnie.. some will say it's perfect way to play, others will say it's boring as hell which it is. Little breaks here and then followed by a safety shot.

I don't like Mark, never have.. I think he is a twat but credit to him for doing what he is doing at the moment but it really isn't fun to watch.

6 god damn frames in a row, i feel like ripping my hair out, cant imagine how Ronnie feels!

You guys are overreacting greatly.

Don't you think it's all very scrappy? It's not that interesting to me at the moment, I'm expecting better after the interval. Ronnie, even when he's getting the chances is naffing them up here. The cricket has me more interested at the minute, but to be fair to snooker, the cricket has been excellent today.

It's actually fascinating match to me. I love tactical play.

But not really sure what Selby could've actually do? What pots he could've attempted for match not to be boring? It's not like Ronnie's safety are crap and leaves him open balls all the time. Also, in four frames he did have three breaks of over 50.

Yeah I don't really get the criticism of Selby here. Admittedly, I've watched the last four frames whilst working on something else, but from what I've seen I can't remember him refusing too many pots just to stifle Ronnie. Just been terrific match play snooker.

Whatever you think of it, it's extremely effective. Winning six frames in a row in a world championship final against Ronnie O'Sullivan is incredible. Ronnie is in free fall at the moment and needs to wake up before this turns into a complete collapse. The remaining frames of this session could lose him the final. I'd rather not see this type of snooker but it's up to Ronnie to do something about it.

As others are saying, fair play to Selby. He's not going to outplay him in that sense, so he's perfectly entitled to do what he's doing.

A couple of tight elbows out there right now.

Both of them are struggling. Entertaining actually, basically keep messing up till one takes advantage.

Those pots "look" easy, but guess for them, under pressure, might not be the case.

Yeah, I always watch them and think "Simple shot" ... I goto the club, a red is sitting over the pocket, and I still manage to go in off, or miss it completely

From this session Ronnie doesn't deserve to win, he's been playing awful. Loose safety and everything. Shame.

Just missed an easy pink for frame ball, definitely not at his best here.

What the feck is he doing. That could be the title, honestly. Braindead moment from Ronnie.

Selby leaves the session in front, massive turning point.

Selby's killed him off IMO. Ronnie needs a long break to get his shit together, but this slow session has reduced that down I think. They're back out at 7?
