RedCafe FM10 Experiment

I was always going to try get a keeper if we were going to do the draft so I'm happy with that. Could have done with someone better than Elano but I trust my manager will bring in the ammunition needed to launch an attack at the top of the league!
 
I was going to suggest managers too but maybe leaving them all without a manager and seeing who our chairman can snatch would be more exciting.

I see what you mean though, but I am worried we'll just end up with unheard-of low level managers and it'll take forever (if at all) to build a decent squad, but with SAF, Jose, Hiddink, et all in charge we can look forward to the elite...

once again, just a thought/discussion point
 
let the game pick the manager. thats the whole point.

I'm happy with Sneijder and Cassano.

You will all start without managers (or maybe re-gens). If they are re-gens, the clubs high reputation (all of them start at a pretty high level, just below the likes of the top 4) should mean some quick sackings. It should work out just fine.

Also, I just noticed for the first time that Christofaux never signed up but posted his anyway, a while ago. The draw is already made, I'm afraid. If he wants in, he'll have to settle for some of the rest. If someone will bother PM'ing him, that'd be nice. He doesn't have too long, though.
 
Also, if anyone can make a list of the clubs, by which League they are in and with both the name of the player and the Club, that'd be brilliant.

Karan Mittal's club is FC Delhi, by the way.

Oh, and mine is Victum.
 
Is cesc going into the premier league or the championship and what's his team name?

Sissoko is actually one of the best midfielders in the game. His CA isn't that high, but his stats have magically appeared in just the right places for him to be terrific at what he supposedly does. Sad but true :lol:

And Pique will be one of the best defenders after a few years in the game, in all likelihood.

I'd say you did good :p
 
So Paz is in the Premiership and Cesc is in the Championship. Righto.

Cheers, though, now I can begin putting the clubs in place, and the players in place at the clubs. Then I need to fix the specifics of every club (they are all missing the tactical information).
 
What's the story with the leagues themselves niMic. How many get promoted and relegated. Is there a play-off scenario in the championship? Who qualifies for Europe? Will there be a cup etc etc etc.

No pressure or anything. ;)

2 directly promoted/relegated, 2 teams play for promotion playoff, 2 teams play for relegation playoff. 4 Qualify for CL, 3 for UEFA Cup. There will be cups, I just haven't thought much about it yet.

Sounds great so in the Premier League. If you're managing to just avoid your relegation, at the same time you're challenging for a spot in Europe!

Should we get one more team involved, including Christofaux's team, as that way it gives us two divisions of 16, and gives us a good number of the cup competition(s), 32 teams

Would be a good straight knockout, and would work equally well as 8 groups of four, or whatever else, 32 is just a much better number of teams than 31

Just throwing out there....
