Gaming Red Dead Redemption 2 (PC, PS4, Xbox One, Stadia)

@VeevaVee was scrolling up my iPad and somehow managed to click on one of your spoilers but before I could close it I took in the first few words.
I didn’t catch much but all I saw was stabbed to death by Micah, the rage, there is nothing more I want to do in this game than kill Micah and if that som’o bitch gets me first I’ll be distraught.

I’m still dossing about at the start of chapter 6.

Ah feck, sorry man. I'd read beforehand that there's 4 endings and I got the good bad one by the looks of it.

It was my fault

gutted if I get that ending, someone better avenge me if it goes down like that

I’ll need to kick on a bit but I was going to go after the rock carvings as right now I only have 2, but doesn’t seem worth the hassle to get the final trinket.

I did that too and over-thought the choice at the end, my line of thinking was if I went back there was a better chance of having a showdown with Micah kill him and get the money for John, as opposed to Arthur just running off with John and dying soon after on the run of his Tuberculosis which is how I though the other choice would have panned out. Should have known it was just a simple "Choose Greed or Choose your Friend" choice :wenger: Doeesn't matter though, In my head Arthur got the good ending.

Theres not 1 mention that itd go to them
Arthur literally talks to John about finding out where the stash is from Abigail so they can give Jack a better life.

I know yeah. Like I mention above , Arthur specifically talks about finding out where the money is so John and Abigail can run away and keep Jack safe. I should've known better too but Rockstar set it up like that.

That's on top of Lenny dying while trying to contribute to that money. Plus the deaths of Kieran, Molly and probably more that I'm forgetting who were innocent but died as part of it all. My main line of thought was feck Dutch and Micah getting it after causing all that when these deserve it more.

They got back to me. Said it’s a known issue and they are trying to implement a fix but no timeline....feck
They will sort it for you pal. I'm waiting for a reply myself now as last night my horse kept disappearing, absolute nightmare.

Yeah right

Ah ya, I know they will sort it for everyone (see a few similar issues on reddit) - just the fact I'll have to grind a little more than i should to get my new repeater :D

Just seen the Gavin bloke up in Tall Trees just I took out a load of Skinners.

So is it possible to kill a whole town? Say I start fighting the lawmen in St Dennis, instead of running away I just kill everyone? No spoilers please

That's a bummer. They need to improve Sandbox games such that your actions change the town a little more than just a bounty.
I just remembered that sometimes towns go in to lockdown, never seen it happen in saint dennis though.

Ive got bounties of $500+ in each state to get that trophy but its been well over 3 days. Trying to do all the other challenges is a right pain with the law keep showing up. They even bring the hounds with them now.. gonna cost me a bomb to clear them.

Lockdown is just wen you get a lot of bounty there though isn't it.

The bounty system is a bit stupid if you ask me. I am a dangerous outlaw and I keep killing the bounty hunters they should fear me now but no they keep coming ugh

How is that stupid?

If I saw you had a high bounty and I was a bounty hunter I would also get a group of friends to try and kill you to claim the big bounty.

Ah right, i wasn't too sure. I haven't touched single player since the online beta came out to be honest.

Yeah that part is good just two things I don't like

1) If I kill all those bounty hunters I should get something for it. More than just their loot. Or their loot should be special
2) It's just really annoying how I get bounty in some towns by literally just bumping into some people. I'm riding my horse and I fall on someone. MURDER ugh..

Finally finished, the epilogue was pretty long. Incredible game, really lived up to the hype and then some.

Also finished the epilogue earlier.

I already had a theory in my head that you became John, based simply on Arthur's tuberculosis getting worse and worse. Enjoyed it way more than a lot of people. Good seeing the ranch improving and the end result. The building montage was epic.
Strange that you don't see much of New Austin at all. Guess it's somewhere to explore now. I'd ventured as far as Armadillo but that's it. Maybe that'll be part of some dlc.

Overall an incredible game, and it felt like there'd been some journey when the emotional music played at the end.
Room for improvement? Of course. Could've had more cinematic quality at times. Missions were short. The obvious stuff like controls and weapons issues. Better camp customisation would've been good, and then lots of ranch customisation when finished would give something to aim for after the credits roll.

It's a great game, but looking back, a few weeks after finishing it, I don't think I'd ever have the urge to play it again. The idea of going back in and doing the same monotonous missions, the slow walking around camp etc. doesn't appeal to me at all. The likes of GoW and Horizon however I will definitely play again at some stage and I think that's why they're better games (in my eyes). I also played TW3 twice despite it being enormous.

Fantastic ending to the game. Starting with the prologue now.

Wish I could have killed the bastard

Yeah that’s me as well. I lent it to one of my friends without any expectation of ever taking it back from him.

I much rather reflect on Arthur’s character development and talk about the game rather than actually replay it.

Just finished chapter 1, well I don't know, when is the game supposed to actually start ?

First 2 chapters are one giant tutorial. 3-4 is the meat of it. Don't rush through those chapters.

So there's another long chapter of this tutorial part.

Can't say I'm not dissapointed. Expected a fast start which throws me in the world immediately. First negative point of the game for me all honestly.

I definitely won't play it again, but I don't see it as a bad thing. Purposely took my time and soaked it in, like I believe it was meant to be. Got Mary Poppin's satchel, did all the side missions I had available before main missions etc. Don't feel like there's much more I can get from it.

I don't think it's a game for everyone but it gets up to a more expected Rockstar pace. Soon as you're out of the snow it's plain sailing.

I'm pretty sure I'm gonna like it but I can't say the slow start isn't a negative point so far. I don't remember having similar problem with GTAV. It took its time to introduce characters but at least the movement wasn't as awfully slow as RDR2.

It's a very different game to GTA though. Everything is to add weight to actions and journeys. It'll improve anyway.
