I had Michael and no Vito too. Fair point really, the film is primarily about Michael's coming of age so to speak.

Although Brando plays Vito unbelievably well that it is a classic character, I believe the trilogy is more about Michael and his inner turmoil between good & evil - he is the better character for me.

@Shinjisan Nothing wrong with that if that's what you wanna go with. If you don't want to give any film characters points that's up to you.

Great Character, love the movie... guy I used to work with was the image of him and done the best impression of him!

That opening scene explaining his morning ritual, one of the best ever! :)

Looks like we will have a close run thing between these four...

The Corleone family may have a say in things yet too.

Probably influenced too much by the show I'm watching right now (easy to guess from this), but I generally prefer TV characters for lists like these since they have a lot more depth/development to them in general.

Sally Draper has become a great character on Mad Men. I usually hate kids in anything but she's a terrific young actress.
I'm still only on S5 but she was another I was tempted to put in there. Maybe it's because I'm watching it right now but the characters have brilliant depth, arguably more than any of the other major classic TV shows I've seen.

@Cheesy - Completely agree, Mad Men's the best written show on TV by a ridiculous distance. Think it's getting better as well, you've got plenty to look forward to.

I shed a tiny tear when she told Don she loved him last season, great scene. She's probably the best 'child actress' I've ever seen, Weiner got so lucky casting her.

Weiner might have got lucky, but the way he's made a lot of no names into terrific actors makes me think a lot of it has to do with him and the writing team.
