Did you realise that Brehme was eligible for the 2nd division winner box before you picked Nedved? I was well chuffed with that pick as I only remembered about that Kaiserslautern rags to riches promotion and Bundesliga winning double-whammy shortly before my pick for that box.

I didn't even research it. I just went straight for Nedved as he is ideal for all 3 tactical variations I'm basing the drafting on.

Also, I refuse to pick a leftback so long as Giacinto is up for grabs. I remember back in the All Time draft @Moby and I almost fell out after he insisted on getting Iniesta at R3 instead of Facchetti.

He then proceeded to proclaim him as better than Zidane which instantly turned him into Shinji Kagawa.

I ignored his attempts to restrain me and got him in R4 and even then some people were going "a fullback at R4? WTF?".

:lol: How times change. Difficult to imagine a draft now where Facchetti isn't highly sought-after. I just knocked up two jizz-worthy prospective teams for myself before realising to my dismay that I probably won't get half the players I want (which is fine) and I'll almost certainly end up fecking losing Gullit, Vierchowod and Brehme too (which isn't fine). Much as I like Monopoly Drafts in principle, they really are head-melting.

I keep forgetting that I'm guaranteed to lose one of my 1st five picks! It's literally at the point that your team is starting to take shape as well!

Yes, they should suit each other well.

Had someone else in mind, but realized just in time that he was on the default list.

Then considered someone else, but he's a) not as good as Greaves and b) has some flaws which would make the partnership more limited.

So, out the window goes the intention not to pick anyone I've drafted before.

Again, shouldn't, as it gives further info on who might go before your pick. Not that he has a crystal ball, but when you are making up your mind over A or B in different positions you obviously look at the likelihood either will survive a turn.
