(Realistic) January Signings Thread

I'd guess if ever, it wouldn't be January. You'll need to wait until the summer. But I'd guess Rafa would go before Kroos anyway.
hmmm - guess so.
He's only 25 (26 tomorrow)!

Yeah man, i don't think anyone in the Caf would say no. He'd be immense next to Schneiderlin IMO. Great deep lying playmaker, with excellent passing range. Lacks a bit of dynamism hence you need to surround him with quick players. Very Scholes'esque

Anderson and Saul would be a very good window, play 4-3-3

DDG
Darmian Smalling Blind Rojo
Morgan
Herrera Saul
Anderson Memphis Martial

Would be quietly happy with Naismith as a forward option (dunno if he'd come as he wants to leave Everton due to lack of starts) for the Solskjaer/Chicarito off the bench role. He is quite handy/committed.

Proof that some caf members think of us as Liverpool already. The Liverpoolisation has truly begun.

Don't worry, one or two more bad decisions by the board and you can have all the Naismiths you want.

More Everton dross is exactly what the team needs, lol.

Naismith is the type of signing we use to joke about making when Moyes was here.

Those seem like expensive half-measures, sort of, but they fit needs and we could still go out in the summer and sign the LCB, CM and star attacking player we would still need, so it makes some sense. Anderson and Saul are young enough to make it a long-term move, too.

Fellaini out and Saul in would probably be a wash financially once wages are into account, so it's tough to argue against from that point of view.

Who and who?

Bottom line: no first team signing.

Seems to be a lot of nonsense in the media again as per the case every year.LVG's comment seems to go along the line of Fergie "we only buy if quality is available" then goes on "there's no quality in the market".

Honestly, I'm not sure LVG has been given the funds to spend in this window.

I can quite reasonably see the board telling him he's spent enough and needs to work with what he's got, whilst leaving the funds in the bank ready for a new manager in July.

Thread title spells it out. Think we need a squad player who poses a goal threat and unfortunately can't see us getting in any better this window. Kroos and the like is wishful thinking.

I feel we must get a goal scorer addition this window if we have any chance of getting top 4, I'm not saying a truly top striker, but one that is capable of adding 7-10 goals from the bench.

What do you guys think about Lavezzi? He could be a decent option for the wing.
Not a bad idea! Although I would rather get Lanzini who could play a similar role and is versatile enough.. Pity he's injured though

It seems to me that the only realistic business we will do this month is feed names to the media and do absolutely nothing.

What about this guy? Left footed right winger with lots of pace exactly what we are missing.

Good player... I have seen him play and he's a goalscoring winger/wide forward, he has scored most of the games I have seen. Also Sevilla has Konoplyanka who plays a bit similar. However, I would prefer to sign someone like Mahrez or Sane. Even Lucas Moura can be a good option.

He was linked with some clubs in the summer and now with Everton, Arsenal and Dortmund to name a few. He renewed his contract some time ago to help Kiev getting a higher fee for him and therefore, his departure to another club can be expected - although I'd be surprised if Kiev let him leave in January.

An Everton fan assembled a 'scouting report' about him here: http://royalbluemersey.sbnation.com...rmolenko-a-brief-scouting-report-everton-kiev

I think we could do with signing insigne from Napoli, watched them last night he was brilliant. Higuain was also quality and scored 2 but he did have allot of shots.
