Real Madrid need to get ready for a terrible season | It’s happening

El mundo wrote days ago an article about the real reasons why he left Madrid.
For those that doesn't understand the article tells about a meeting with Mendes and laywer to talk about the treasury fine and how he was upset because the club always considered Di Stefano the number 1.

That kind of thing sounds plausible when it comes to Ronaldo.

Maybe Real and Barca, with their aging teams, are just having trouble to cope with the new financial realities created by PL tv money and the likes of PSG. It is now much more difficult for them to build a team of galácticos. Even when they were financially securely on top, they paid top money to a couple of players, but there were also plenty of players earning less than 100k. The top player wages can now be matched or topped by others, and those earning less can possible earn more now elsewhere, while the transfer sums have gone insane. This will be a big financial challenge for them, and a fight they have been losing for the last two years or so. It just takes a while for the results to become visible, when it's already too late.
I think you are right. I think it is the harsh reality, although there is a lot of misinformation about the club's economy. I think that's why Florentino insisted on a reform of the stadium that for many is unnecessary. As the only way to increase profits.
In fact they have signed an American executive, who worked in the NBA, to get sponsors and try to get someone to buy the name of the stadium.

I don't know if It's truth but I am starting to believe that he had made his decision with or without renewal offers.
Who knows, maybe some years ago he could have got It(the club paying the fine) but with this atmosphere anti corruption...I agree about another contract for Pepinho

There have been at least 30 different articles each with a different conspiracy theory as to why he left. I’m sure there were plenty of reasons but I doubt we’ll ever know for sure.

I still don’t understand what’s the problem with Ronaldo saying he found a family at Juve or how that is in any way an attack on Real Madrid. I watched the interview, it was the typical interview of a new player saying great things about their new club.

The Madrid media made a story out of nothing, why they felt the need to manufacture a Madrid v Ronaldo fight I have no idea.

I know,we probably won't know the reasons(maybe better).
I name the article because el mundo has been collaborating with Der Spiegel from several years ago so I presume that it's at least minimally serious

I read an interesting article about this the other day, which suggested that Barcelona are in big trouble.

In all honesty, the football bubble is about to burst, right across Europe. The TV money cannot just keep going up and up and up. There are only so many 'new markets' to tap into. In the UK, Sky have been haemorrhaging money, and it is highly unlikely that the next TV deal will be worth as much for the Premier League. It is quite possible that the Neymar transfer record won't be broken for a very long time. Lots of big clubs are going to find themselves in difficult situations.

Real probably realise this, and also realise that big spending is not sustainable.

there was a time that some journos were making stories how Cristiano wasn't scoring for juve and benzema and bale were on top form scoring lots of goals. It turned out so funny in such a short time.

Sounds like us...

...I just saw I was quoted in this thread and wondered why, so I saw you quoted that post I made. Thing is, I thought this was the Newcastle Match thread when we were 2-0 down and that post was literally about United. Didn't even realize I posted in the wrong thread.

The problem with Real Madrid is that they failed to read the signs. Last season Ronaldo wasn't doing anything in the first part of the season in La Liga and Real Madrid were struggling to get results. While that happened, he was still scoring in the CL and Real were doing fine like they normally do in that competition because he was scoring. Coincidence?

This season they don't have anyone to match his output and it's naive to think that players like Bale, Benzema, Asensio, etc will have a more productive scoring season just because he isn't there anymore and therefore compensate the output that Ronaldo would normally have. They were also naive enough to believe that Bale can do what Ronaldo did for the last 9 seasons. He is an incredible player but he is a poor's man Ronaldo made of glass.

If you add that to the fact that RM has an ageing squad, a new coach (I don't rate Lopetegui) and lack a proper goalscorer, I can't see this season getting a lot better for them.

Right now there is no changes in the sports planning of Real Madrid.
At the present time it is not expected to sign Hazard in winter, but Rodrygo will go to Castilla

we need to sign Kane - and Hazard, Eriksen and de Jong too - but Kane the first. He has a lot of presence in the field. He is a real nuisance throughout the match and technically much better than his physique suggests.
If we repeat Kane Kane Kane insistently Marca will write some transfer rumor

Give me Pogba instead of Eriksen, and CB and backup LB as well :D

I thought you lot would be in for both Kane and Hazard after losing Ronaldo.
Kane with constant supply will get 40 goals a season easy and Hazard is unplayable when on form.

Maybe you can have Rashford for Asensio if you ask kindly? :p

Kane is going nowhere I fear, he should have never signed those long contracts.

Yes,of course he can get 40. The next summer there may be many names but it seems difficult that Tottenham can retain him another summer.
I think that after so many years with Benzema the audience would appreciate a pure forward, like Van Nistelrooy or Hugo Sánchez before, although I see Kane able to combine and collaborate a lot.

To sign Kane we should have planned it. Losing Cristiano wasn't planned so we didn't move in time for a substitute. Spurs were never going to sell Kane a month after he signed a new contract. We'd need to start moving now and get the player on board, otherwise no amount of money will convince Levy to sell if we just show up out of the blue in the summer

Chelsea also refused to sell Hazard. Hazard didn't push for the move.

I would not mind Rashford at all. That kid needs the Valdano or Capello that Raúl had. Someone who makes it clear that he has to pull the team and be the leader, without any kind of doubt.
And Asensio... I do not know what to think.
"Footballistically" I love him.Spanish football needs Isco+Asensio. With him I'm like Gollum and the ring. I can not imagine getting rid of him, even if he had to go to the bench for months or years, like Guti.
I honestly think that he needs some good whistles from Bernabéu

Summer of 2019...

Modric out. Rodrygo, Fornals, Oyarzabal and Handanovic in. Perez keeps having Neymar dreams every night.
that makes it sound plausible unfortunately

with Lunin in Leganés they are not going to sign more goalkeepers. The other options seem realistic but perhaps for Atlético, Valencia .. unless they make a colossal season.

You want him to be the leader of England and Man Utd with 20 years old? I doubt that he needs a mentality coach, he just needs an attacking coach at club level.

Asensio has disappointed me time and time again this season. He was supposed to have his breakout year.

Isco has been a big loss for Spain and Madrid, without him both sides lack any kind of penetration. He was hitting new personal heights and the Roma and Croatia trashings have been largely down to him as well. No coincidence that both sides had their best effort this season with him as the main man.

Based on this season actually Paco Alacaer would've been ideal plan B option for them off the bench/start odd game instead of Mariano.

They should've given Valencia some money to buy him back off Barca and then sign him.

It would be like Fifa Journey

Wow!!! Varane now handled the ball inside the area and referee initially called for a free kick outside the box. But then after consulting VAR he correctly awarded the Penalty which Levante scored. Madrid 0-2 against Levante at home..

Haha, its all happening at Madrid. Now referee allowed a goal for Madrid from a corner and then correctly ruled out it for offside after consulting with VAR.

They just need a motivator.
They need Mr Motivator, he’d probably do better than this current no mark who is head coach.

Seriously, Rafa Benitez and now this guy. Who is he? What are they thinking?
