Real Madrid Discussion

I hate Real Madrid. They're the football representation of a loud talking, don't-indicate-at-roundabouts driving, Game of Thrones spoiling *****. They probably take selfies at funerals too. In fact, I bet Hitler played for them at one point. whit toxt
First page and the thread has been Godwin'd already.

With regards to superstar players never wishing to leave Real Madrid, didn't Robinho force a move to Manchester City (thinking they were Chelsea) in 2008 having been a Ballon D'Or nominee and offered a new contract the previous season? Also didn't Özil demand to move to Arsenal after being subbed against Real Betis in 2013 following the Bale signing?

Robinho was average for Real Madrid with flashes of brilliance. 25 goals in 3 seasons isn't anything special when he scored 14 goals in his first season alone for City. They were happy to see him go and had already given him permission to talk to Chelsea where he was supposed to be heading. City snapped him up at the last moment. If they wanted to keep him they would have.

oh where've you been?
Hello Dario,I had some days off at work and didnt want to spend free time with the phone, besides I had the feeling that I was writing several times the same things. What do you think about Benitez?

Sounds like a mega thread in the making to me :nono:
Sorry  It was initially your standard 'Bash Real Madrid' thread but everyone started complaining that it was too bitter so changed it.

You can always lock if it gets too big :nervous:

Let's see how it goes :)

Being indisputably the most arrogant club in the world alone would be some feat, but they accomplish it by some distance.

Except they're not, Barcelona are far more arrogant with their més que un club bollocks.

You could try renaming it the "Love Real Madrid" thread - no chance of it becoming a megathread then.

at least a cup guaranteed;) some digs from some people who ain't supposed to be benched but will be:lol:

Firstly sorry but I only could find links in spanish:
The press is talking this days about Sergio Ramos renewal. He asks 10 net a year but Madrid only offers 7, besides, Majó, a Barcelona candidate said that Ramos has been offered to this candidature, what is not helping.
"Abc" writes that the talks are broken and Ramos has said to the club that he will leave in 2017 when his contract ends, http://www.abc.es/realmadrid/noticias/20150619/abci-sergio-ramos-realmadrid-rompen-201506190921.html. I think that at the end he will renew, probably he is just pressing the club.
About transfers there are contradictory reports from good sources,
http://www.elconfidencial.com/depor...-real-madrid-hasta-despues-de-la-gira_891977/ . According to "el confidencial" Benitez has stopped all the transfers except De Gea since he wants to see the squad in the pre season. Reus has been ruled out.
About Pogba, Abc writes that He is looking forward to play in Madrid , with Varane and Karim http://www.abc.es/realmadrid/noticias/20150618/abci-pogba-quiere-venir-madrid-201506171409.html but el Confidencial writes that Florentino is not totally sure about him, contradictory with El Pais and Diego Torres who writes (http://deportes.elpais.com/deportes/2015/06/17/actualidad/1434551185_163539.html) that Madrid and Barcelona consider Pogba the player with more future in the world, seeing very positively
his adaptation to italian league and his good tactical sense. According to the article Florentino has demanded to do everything possible to bring him, negotiating through third parties to avoid as far as possible to Mino Raiola.
The article says that Florentino does not want to lose again the player as happened with Neymar . I am not sure if they are really interested or want to sign him only because Barcelona is interested as well and they are afraid to regret in the future.

Ramos wants about €12m a year. That's just crazy money for someone as overrated as him. I fully understand Real Madrid in this matter.

As for Pogba, Catalan media reports he wants to move to Barcelona and that's his first option, while media from Madrid reports the contrary. He will probably choose the club where he can earn the most IMO.

I am with the club as well.Probably the club wants to avoid mistakes from the past, big contracts that provoke conflicts when the legends are getting old, forcing them to pay lots of millions to end contracts before time,as happened with Raul,Guti or now with Iker and the 20 million that they would have to pay him. However I can't agree with Ramos being overrated, for me is one of the best CB in the world

You quiet possibly hate us more than Real Madrid fans do.
That's what you get for boring people senseless for three solid years with that admittedly successful but oh so damn boring tiki taka crap I'm afraid. Seriously, I've had surgery that was less painful than trying to stay awake through that

Only speaking about myself :) Id rather dig up saddam husseins decomposing corpse and wash his balls than watch a barca match from that period.
I used to hate watching them too but only because I was extremely bitter regarding them.

Now I watch us play possession footy and them too, among others, and it's quite good.

A good article by Diego Torres, talking about the mess of positions the next year. It´s a google translation with some arrangements so sorry if is not easy to understand.

""Jorge Mendes , the agent of Cristiano Ronaldo, got in touch with Madrid a couple of weeks ago to manifest that his client was not prepared to play as a striker . The portuguese agent warned that Cristiano is concerned at what he perceives as a current to degrade him in favor of Gareth Bale.
statistics upheld the complaint of Mendes. His player is the most prolific scorer in Real Madrid history and has been the most decisive player of the squad in the last seven years. There is no logic in changing his position to satisfy outside interests. The new Real coach Rafa Benitez already knows the call of Mendes. Knows that Cristiano , 30 ,is suspicious, and with a good reason.
Madrid representatives who met with Benitez in the second half of May to point out that the directive expected from their work, only offered to sign the contract when he promised to solve the above problems . At the head of the demands it appeared the revival of Bale.
A person close to the coach says that was still in Naples when a leader of the club , with all niceness suggested that the best way to boost the British was to move him to the left , as Bale is left. The reasoning struck Benitez and alarmed him : the left has been , since 2009 , the side of Cristiano, who is right.
Some members of the Madrid directive repeated for more than a year ago that the ideal position of Bale was the left. They ensure have heard it from the President Florentino Perez . They were surprised when Ancelotti situated him on the right. One of the arguments that Florentino Perez wielded to justify to the board his decision to fire the Italian coach was that, by his insistence on putting Bale on the right, exposing the shame of the player. In the environment of the stage of authorities grew the idea that the coach was Cristiano´s accomplice to corner/shelve the welsh.
Benitez is perplexed . He knows Premier better than any Spanish coach and remember , when Bale played at Tottenham, finished his best goals in attack actions developed starting from the right. Only when Tottenham counter attacked he was given freedom to run any side. There are videos for verification.
According to an official of Valdebebas , Benitez knows that the technical committee decided long ago that the best starting position for Bale is on the right. " Bale has not come here to be extreme on the left ," says this official ; "Not to cross the ball but to score goals ."
Benitez has told his colleagues that he has no choice but to run that to which he committed . At least during the hot months of the preseason. He will put Bale out of the right , will free him from defensive duties and
will try to form around him a sufficiently welcoming structure to make as many goals as possible
. In the process, the coach will attempt not to disturb heavyweights like Cristiano or even Ramos , who, according murmur from the dressing room , believe that the Welsh is a spoiled of the president .
The first of the suspicious is Cristiano .The Portuguese do not plan to move from the left wing because , in the words of one of his colleages, " do not feel that scores goals for being in the area but coming from behind " , and if it is from the left to take shape with the right, the better .
Cristiano says his shrine is located behind Benzema , exactly where Bale wants to play. He is delighted that Benzema is his number nine and he doesn´t want to be the Benzema of anyone ""

@carvajal

Thanks for the share. If true, Perez's ego is crazy man. To think anyone would dream of prioritizing Bale over Ronaldo is just crazy.

Ronaldo will probably be sold to PSG next season to recoup and rebuild again i guess.

Yes,I think the same.Benitez is already a puppet and he even couldn't train the team.

Bale having better performances has little to do with moving to the left, have they all forgotten about his first season when he was much better than the past one ? Or even the season before when they bought him from Spurs ?

@carvajal

How many years does Ronaldo have left on his contract? He is already 30 but still your best player by some margin. Coming into a season which is so important as Barca won the lot last season, you think it is smart to upset your best player to accommodate Gareth fkng Bale? I can see another season of massive turmoil at Madrid if this somehow transpires.

Also, I don't think PSG will be able to pay that much for Ronaldo and also give him his wages when he is going to be 31. Esp considering they struggled to buy Di Maria.

I think that until 2018.I would have prefered to sell one of them.Enjoy a couple of good years with Cristiano or give the protagonism to Bale.Maybe Bale is spoiled but I don't see Cristiano abdicating friendly and we like it or not he is 30 and his dribbling and knees are not the same. I think that PSG is more interested in the advertising hit than the player, some amazing transfer to finally consolidate the project

If you think Bale will produce more than Ronaldo in the next 2 years, you can sell him, but do you actually believe that? If Madrid got rid of Ronaldo this season then I don't see you even coming close to Barca or if you somehow pissed him off and tried to shoehorn him as a striker with Bale taking his place on the left, it will be funny to see how those two get along :p

Win-win in both cases for me ;)

I don't identify with Bale at all.He doesnt speak spanish,he doesnt want to learn and I see him shy on the pitch.Cristiano fits so well with Bernabeu...cocky,arrogant but competitive and very madridista. My hope is to see the Bale of Wales national team where he looks a leader.I guess that I'll have to dream about Hazard the whole year :)

Hazard

It's about time you stop fecking raiding us and hit Chelsea/anyone else in England ;)

Actually I wonder why they didn't before,I suppose that is pure coincidence
not really pure, think the likes of City and Chelsea have brought accomplished guys in recent times, while United has traditionally followed the potential and turned those guys into real deals. Real have also aimed at Spurs right?

The Madrid dressing room reminds me of one of those high school teen dramas with a bunch of self entitled girls constantly cat fighting.

We'll be looking like their bitch, with their 200M euro for Ramos while we get 20M for De Gea.

Feck them, let's just make DDG honor his contract and let him go free, this 20M isn't worth the insult.

Another article by Diego Torres, explaining all the thing about Ramos. Florentino uses to refers to his articles as novels but he writes so well in spanish and all what he says sounds quite coherent. The info is defending what As said about amounts since they are in the same publishing house.

""Sergio Ramos, the active defender with more international titles won with Piqué, the player who felt genuinely heir of the legendary Real Madrid captains, is determined to leave Real Madrid this summer. At 29, he concludes that the coexistence with the president, Florentino Perez, will be unsustainable. "I'm not Iker" repeats Ramos, the second captain, pointing to the first captain of the squad. "I'm not Iker," says Ramos, when talking with their fellow veterans, with Cristiano, Pepe, Marcelo. For some years now, the players of Madrid imagine that their fate may well seem similar to that of Casillas, who won three Champions five league titles, two European Championships and a World Cup and yet destroyed a section of the public opinion, hated by a part of the fans, battered by the coach on duty, and unprotected by a silent directive.
Iker has endured an unprecedented mocking in the history of football. He has supported diplomatically. With political sense. Losing weight and illusion and without question it, all in front of some perplexed and outraged colleagues. Proud lads, like Cristiano,Alonso, Di Maria or Ramos put themselves in his shoes and resolved not to allow the board to humiliate them. This is what happened with Casillas, as most of his team mates. And this happens with Ramos.

"Here they are on the verge of mutiny against the directive," said an employee of the club from Valdebebas, in the following week to the end of the season. Even Kroos, one of the quietest men in the dressing room, said aloud that the sacking of Carlo Ancelotti seemed to act against the players. Ramos and Cristiano, the group's leaders were the most vehement. They did accounts. They remembered. When they recommended the dismissal of Mourinho, Mourinho they reinforced; when they asked for the dismissal of Dr. Jesus Olmo, he was given all power in medical services; when they claimed the continuity of Ancelotti ,Ancelotti was fired. Ramos, who once served as spokesman among his colleagues and the board, exhausted his strength. Last week As announced it: Ramos wants to leave Madrid.

From the environment/familiar surrounding of Ramos they point United. With the renewal of the television rights in English Premier becomes the richest club in the world. At Old Trafford there are abundant resources but lack one thing above all: good defenses. According to the British press, the manager, Louis van Gaal has asked Ramos. The English club got the knife when Madrid made an offer by the keeper David de Gea. The answer was to ask Ramos. Board members polled by Florentino Perez intends to divide into two groups: those who are silent, but do not deny their desire to sell Ramos and the other, ensuring that, after firing Ozil, Higuain and Di Maria, the president has five remaining names on the transfer list for having revolted against Jose Mourinho in 2013. They are Ramos, Casillas, Cristiano, Pepe and Marcelo. Even when the leader speaks publicly he can not hide the rancor toward those he considered guilty of the failure of coach who became the flagship of his project.
They say from his inner circle that Florentino Perez broke with Ramos when the player refused to bend without reservations to all strategies of Mourinho. The easiest explanation of argument , however, is not political, but contractual. The official version holds to this when the president accused the player of demanding too much money to renew a contract signed in 2011 and which extends to 2017. The Sevillano , which takes about six million net per year ,replies that the agreement was reached with the candor of who gets carried away by his guardian . In 2011 the relationship of Ramos and the president was imbued with paternalism. The document remains legal , but today , in light of the market, the amounts seem outdated . Ramos takes one million less than Benzema ; one million less than Kroos and Casillas ; seven million with Bale and 15 million less than Cristiano.
United offers 12 million net and Ramos believes that will force him out publicly and assume the social cost. According to the player and his advisers , some months ago Florentino Perez made an offer of renewal that looked very much like an invitation into exile . The president wants to sell him but is unwilling to bear the political stigma of selling an idol. Should be the player who says that wants to leave .

Ramos says his refusal to accept the renewal coincides with a flurry of slurs from media forums that veterans of the squad identified with the press controlled by the board. Tele reality programs close to Madrid already had Casillas as the target . Now is Ramos. And Ramos warns Cristiano that soon he will also occupy the center of the target . From there to the whistles of the more volatile sectors of the Bernabeu is a centimeter.""

Isn't this what happened with Di Maria? Not buying it yet, but hmmm
