RBS 6 Nations

this is tiki taka stuff by the irish.. great defence by the welsh

O'connell is 10 years younger, today.

Excellent to watch but frustrating as feck!

229 takles from Wales, 100 from Ireland.

You just know there will be an exciting end to this game.

That was a great performance from both teams.

3 times the forwards got white line fever, that along with an appalling first 15 minutes cost us. Wales' defence and work in the air was superb. Both teams deserve credit for producing such an exciting game with Wayne Barnes refereeing.

So many errors from England. Pretty disappointing.

The style of this years 6 nations has been nothing short of shit, too many errors by all the teams, the games look exciting based on history and atmosphere, no team is playing to the best of their abilities.

Wow!

When I knew I had Twickenham tickets for the final game v France I originally thought it could be the decider … France were predictably "France" and then England deservedly lost to a rampant Ireland last week and I was sorely disappointed that it might not hold such significance. But after today …

Having thought that it would be irrelevant, the France game looks set to have at least some significance and more interestingly we'll know exactly what England have to do when it all kicks off next Saturday.

Ireland would have to beat Scotland by 4points + whatever points England might eventually beat France by
Wales would need to beat Italy by 26 points + whatever points England might eventually beat France by
… of course, there is more than a slim chance that France might beat England (we're the United of the rugby world opponent-game-raising wise)!

Needs to be a win and probably a win by 10+ points, but the fact that everyone will know what needs to be done come KO will more than likely make the game a great (or fecking horrible) one to witness!

Really mouthwatering prospect … and all thanks to the fecking Taffs!

Unless we improve like mad on today's performance, we're not even beating France let alone being in the mix points wise.

So, my Facebook wall is alive with Irish friends and colleagues of mine screaming about Wayne Barnes cheating and Ireland being robbed against Wales. I don't remember this happening ever before - normally the Irish rugby fans I meet are very reasonable people who give credit where it's due. There's some atrocious YouTube video being thrown around like it's fact, when it's patently clear that the person who created it doesn't know how a ruck works.

Has anyone else encountered this? There seems to be real salt. Which is odd, since Ireland are still surely favourites to win the whole thing. Is it the loss of the Grand Slam that has particularly stung or something? It's not nice to see.

 Had to laugh at "what happens next is criminal" must agree, I've seen people locked up for placing centred type better than that!

The scrum is the most weirdly refereed thing in sport it's totally objective but overall, you're right … it sounds like sour grapes to me.

I just hope that Ireland beat Scotland by an unconverted try, Wales beat Italy by whatever bucketload of points they need to equal Ireland and that means that England would know what they have to do … just beat France by a couple of points and I'll be there cheering them on!

The video popped up on my fb and looking through the comments, pretty much every Irish fan said that Wales deserved to win the match.

This seems to be the most posted in 6 Nations thread I've seen on this forum, just wondering if anyone here follows much club rugby also? Would be cool to get a thread going during the Aviva, Pro12 and Champions cup.
