Two Free, or Nobody?
whether it is nobler to the fan to acquire
the Melos and flotsam of unwanted midfields
or to take Bells against a sea of outrageous shiteness
and by spending, end that. to hold, to contain
More, and by shots, SCORE, at Kop
End the heartache, the thousand natural shocks
that midfield is heir to. Tis a consumption
Devoutly to be wished
to shoot
to score
perchance to dream
aye, of the Cups.

Things must be really bad when the poetry is back again at RAWK

Ohh how I missed reading this thread in the last couple of years. Suddenly everything feels like normal again

The poetry is just the tip of the iceberg when things get bad over there, I am just waiting for the Book Of Kopites volume II to start, now that was funny.

Doesn't really work.

If you'd gone out for ages, been engaged, and she dropped you at the alter. Maybe that's a bit closer to losing in the absolutely last mins of the season.
More like everyone just talked about the possibility of us dating but it never actually happened.

Anyway, I’m only joking mate, this isn’t really the thread for serious discussion

We can certainly be in agreement that their season is going brilliantly so far

The video of Pep Ljinders going around giving his book to the players is strange.

Even their fabled poetic lunatics have turned to shit..poor effort indeed

It's been a couple of hours, lets have some more:
Who gives a feck about Madrid right now? More concerned with being turned over by fecking Everton. United coming up soon as well, or Newcastle away.
Conceded 2.0xg to Wolves … about the 20th game in a row where we’re over 1.5xg against … it’s relegation level defensively
Steven Gerrard spent half of his career surrounded by dross, but never phoned it in.
I'm honestly shivering with fear thinking about what Madrid will do to us.
What did Clarence Seedorf say about us?
The Athletic have done a number of hatchet pieces attacking Klopp.
If we're still in the PL next season I'll be amazed.
The year we won number 19, the Athletic wrote a series of lengthy but fascinating articles on various key players (and Klopp of course), that was a breath of fresh air, I'd go as far as to say sports journalism at its finest. Insight, opinion, the works. These days, they are no better the pretentious click-baity shit-stirrers and that was even before they sold out to the NYT.

Joe 'Lizard brain' Gomez...

0/10
Stop disrespecting Lizards. They are smart enough to defend against their enemy.

Please Qatar come and save us. There is no other way

Klopp has lost the dressing room, its only a matter of time until he's lost the fans as well. He has a stubborn streak that's really starting to feck us.

Nunez is without doubt the worst signing of the season and I'm not sure how it can be debated. Twice in this game he has wasted fantastic chances, to see Wolves score a few minutes later.

70 million. Whoever thought this lad was good enough to lace Sadio's boots needs to be sacked.
You’re not allowed to say that here, you just have to focus on how much of a “handful” he is.
I think he's been a better signing than Arthur.
Has he? No impact is better than a hugely negative impact.

Its over. Injuries wont make a difference. This Liverpool team is done for good. Next season will be the same. We are back at being classic liverpool. Lets keep acting cool and brave having owners that dont give a shit, and watch this get worse and worse. Bring me a fecking nasty filthy rich Qatari og Saudi owner i dont fecking care. Oh and btw, nunez is the biggest scam ive witnessed in the transfer world.

Yeah this coaching team needs to go and if that means the man who has allowed all this to happen, so be it. I don’t know if it’s true about Lijnders/Krawirtz having this increased influenced but even if they do, it all comes down to Klopp for giving them the keys to the car

Morons in here with their heads in the sand, we could get relegated and they still wouldn’t question the manager. Worst season at this point since Roy Hodgson

Keita has to be the biggest flop in PL history. Hasn’t done anything else than receiving money.

What a fraud

we’re in a relegation battle btw just enjoy it though you twats

Where are the top reds that keep saying “You weren’t here in the hodgson days”, reckon they’re happy with this? Such a shock that we won’t accept mediocrity and the old dinosaurs think it’s fine. mentality like that is the reason we went 30 years without winning the league
These pricks can never understand. After conquering the whole world for past seasons, only Liverpool can go as far down as this. That is fecking frustrating from a long time fan POV. And they keep reliving the times we won stuff. Well feck me am I suppose to wait another 30 years for another rejuvenation? Is this the beginning of the cycle where Liverpool slump and come back up near the end of the century? fecking hell.

We’ll all watch this shit and claim to want change but you say one bad thing about klopp or about one of the fan favorite players and your downvoted to eternity. Sack klopp and bring in a manager with a fresh perspective and no loyalty to this shit staff and these shit players

I would comfortably rate Keita as the worst transfer in the history of our club. And the fact that he chose the #8 shirt is just shameless.
That only makes sense if you started supporting in 2018
Man never watched £35 million Carroll

Keita is up there one the worst signings we ever made it’s not even close
Totally.

He's our Pogba, our Lukaku, our Nicolas Pepe.

fecking dreadful and useless.

Can't wait until some Qatari entity buys the club and we still get to buy 0 players in the transfer window because this club is ran backwards permanently
Every week, I become more convinced that the team is playing like shit on purpose, so even the most ardent Socialist will do back flips when the Qatris buy us.

We will be absolutely battered by Madrid. I’m sorry but Klopp must go
Klopp??? feck of you idiot
Fans your sort are satisfied with losing 2 ucl finals but at least we reached the finals huh? Or missing out on multiple premier leagues by 1 point but hey at least we’re giving a fight huh? This team is the literal definition of not maximising potential. I’m done being happy with “challenging”, this team should be WINNING

We need a fresh start and oil money

I’m done with footy I think been relying on LFC for too long to keep me happy, I’m fed up of my weekend being decided by form, YAWN guys I’ll be watching again one day in the future good luck
So you’ll just come back when the team is successful again? If ya don’t support us when we lose, don’t support us when we win
I’ve supported for 20 years avidly I’m just done with football as a whole I just don’t enjoy it anymore

Edit: also rely on us to do well for me to feel good isn’t good for my mental health

Cody Crap-po haha

Does Gakpo even know how to play football?

Either klopp tries to steady the ship and change something or he goes. Simple as that, his stubbornness is his biggest enemy. feck off with the 433, it doesn't fit the new players.
And you replace him with who exactly?
we’ll bring in Poch and make documentaries about finishing third in the league while Klopp wins the the title with wherever he ends up

Agent of Chaos but the only chaos he causes is to our own team

Klopp out, FSG out, medical staff out, Keita out, Gomez out, idiotic fans that can't look past what klopp has done but can't admit that he's finished as a manager for us.

But let's carry on and pretend this will change next game? Right?
Klopp out then who takes his place? Who can manage a team with a bottom half team budget? You’re forgetting the most important quote said about the club “If you can't support us when we lose or draw, don’t support us when we win”
I'll support the club through thick and thin. Exactly why i want klopp out, he's clueless these days. Completely lost control of the team.

Get Zidane in

This is worse than the hodgson days

Bro get Joe Gomez the feck out of here. 2 goals in 15 minuets 100% his fault. Rushed into the midfield for no fecking reason and left his area vacated for the ball over the top for the first goal. For the second WHO THE feck CLEARS THE BALL TO THE PENALTY SPOT?!?!? He is fecking TERRIBLE.

Salah reminds me of myself: way overpaid for the amount of work I do

Squakwa - "Liverpool have now lost more Premier League games this season (7) than they did during the 2018/19, 2019/20 and 2021/22 season COMBINED. "

Step 1: Score first. Don't worry, it's not that hard. Just pass it to your fastest player.

Step 2: Let Trent smack the ball around. Force Salah wide

Step 3: They'll pressure you after half time. Just hang on until they sub off Thiago.

Step 4: Score again.

Congratulations!! You've just beaten Liverpool FC!!!

Ya, it's over and all signs point to it getting worse. The sale isn't happening. The rebuild isn't happening. It's over.

Be with your families, focus on your careers, work on yourselves. No joy will come from this club for some time.

Make what you will of it
yeah. We are beyond shit lm ao mystery solved
we should buy a beat up VW Kombi and solve mysteries together mate

Here is wisdom.

Liverpool need to be sure they are prepared, mentally and physically, for the trials of next season. And they need to be fully-staffed. We all know it.

Yes, they should handily best Queens Park Rangers in their long-awaited return to Anfield.

But it won't mean a damned thing if they then lose to Sheffield and Blackburn the next week...

If I was asked the choice between winning the league and CL this season and losing Klopp or finishing 12th and keep Klopp until 2026 I know for sure what choice I’d make
...
Didn't he report that we faked covid results to get a game postponed?
It was Simon Hughes who wrote that article, but Pearce has written other articles he's not been happy with.
The Athletic are continually writing hatchet pieces from so-called leaks from within the club.
And we, as a club, should be refusing them entry to Anfield. Not sure why we're even allowing Pearce to attend pressers with some of shite he's come out with.
The Athletic have done a number of hatchet pieces attacking Klopp.

One insinuated that we called a game against Arsenal off and another snide piece blaming Klopp for the injury issues
What has James Pearce said in an article that Klopp was so unhappy about? I'm completely out of the loop on this.
Nothing. Pearce's latest article questioned the lack of signings in midfield this winter.
No issue there, he is right and 98% of fans would agree.
If something else is pissing Klopp off, he should come out and say it.
If FSG has now fecked off out the building, something needs to be said.
There was stuff recently about how everybody at the club hated Andreas Kornmayer. Klopp would obviously be very pissed off about that. Was that the Athletic?
The year we won number 19, the Athletic wrote a series of lengthy but fascinating articles on various key players (and Klopp of course), that was a breath of fresh air, I'd go as far as to say sports journalism at its finest. Insight, opinion, the works. These days, they are no better the pretentious click-baity shit-stirrers and that was even before they sold out to the NYT.
They were always clickbaity. It didn’t apply to Liverpool back then because we were winning 27 of 28 en route to winning the league. No one’s subscribing to read why Buvac hates Ljinders or how everyone hates Kornmeyer.

It’s much easier to sell when the club is doing worse. And far easier to be clickbaiting.
...
Klopp deserves the summer to change things and pray we have new investment otherwise I can't see a way back
He deserves as long as he wants it
...
Can anyone tell me how many OG's Matip has scored for us? It must be 7 or 8.
I can't. But hes a top finisher alright
They’re adding up he’s the new Carra
...
Get rid of everyone except Alisson.
Sell every overpaid ungrateful fecker who can’t be arsed before Klopp.
Klopp should be the last man standing at this club.
The players have let him down royally. I don’t care who it is anymore if you can’t fecking defend basic set pieces and can’t get away a decent shot on goal then get them the feck out of here. I don’t care who it is and how much money they’re on. Nobody is above the club.

  fecking drama queen, already thinking they’ll be relegated. What the hell is wrong with them. The way I see it, they’ll be comfortably mid table, at worst falling to 15th be end of season, no way worse than that.

:smirk:

Why are people clogging up the thread with posts about whether the Dippers were unlucky not to win the quadruple last season? This is a thread for laughing at the Scousers there is a thread for reasoned debate about their quality. This isn't it.

Well said, why are there even dipper apologists in here at all?

Fan fiction usually follows soon after.

It’s already started if the bending them over and whipping them in a cold shower comment is anything to go by!

The 'maybe Nunez isn't good' realisation:

The eye test says he's playing well and just needs to start converting chances, which he's miserably failing to do at the moment. Don't know what to make of that, personally.
Nunez looks like one of those players who will score alot of goals when he settles and finds his form, but he could also end up as one those players who just wont be prolific here.
I'd say that's a pretty big problem for a record signing
The problem with Nunez for me is not about him missing his chances. It's him missing chances AND at the same time, not offering anything else.
1 league goal since the turn of the year.
He’s got very little finesse to his game. Gets himself into good positions but gives very little confidence of putting the ball in the back of the net.
I was skeptical before and remain skeptical. All this XG bollox is just that if he isn't converting. Still, I'm not writing him off yet, but he isn't doing good enough. I don't see how that's debatable.

Gakpo
He's our 6th choice attacker. No way I'd pick him over Bobby.
He's shite
Not sure what Gakpo's strength is.
He just look abit…meh.
Please don't sign Eredivisie players, at least he didn't cost 90m like Antony.
I didn't think he was the required standard before we bought him and got some shit on here for saying it.
When he was repeatedly linked to Man Utd, I remember thinking "pfff meh, welcome to him", same as Antony, so I was surprised we signed him out of nowhere. Even more when Lijnders was reported to bizarrely call him, another leftie, "the missing link" (although the alternative meaning of that phrase pretty much sums up the whole team right now).
Full blown denial
He looks like he will come good in a big way to me. Darwin too.
Ok then, he's not that good really is he. Not for what we need.
* waits for the " he looked good in the world cup"
His crossing is atrocious.
Dont understand what he is supposed to be good at.
Showed some decent flashes but I'm not sure what he's supposed to be good at it. Doesn't seem to excel at anything.
He's the missing link.

The link to what - not sure.

I'm loving it. I didn't expect the karmic rebound to happen as soon this season. Best team in the history of the Premier League and all that.

Newcastle thread, after we won Forest few days ago

Having just listened to the vomit inducing shite some squeaky woman Co comm and some bellend fella main comm have just come out with on sky, I couldn't take the absolute wankfest if they win it, so I've changed my mind and hope the mancs lose to the cheating barcodes. Football is fecked anyway, the greed has killed the game, so feck it, let's have some crying mancs to cheer us up
Haha Rob, my stance has softened a bit since last night too. I just won’t watch and will try it to care either way. Some stuffy run to a final for United and the FA Cup is shaping up a similar way for them I think.
She's going out for the final so it won't be on in our house. It's going to be awful, unlike the fake sex noises on MOTD, it will be real in the Sky studios as they all tug themselves off/finger themselves over Man Utd, even though they are still a very bang average side.
Wrong thread I know but the noise everyone is making about Casemiro is incredible. It’s like they’ve never seen a competent midfielder before. I know they had a few years of Scott McTominay but still.
I'd be a hypocrite if I wanted Man Utd to win this after being so open with wanting City to win the title. The more these cheats win, hopefully we get more and more clubs joining the call to have them sorted out. United fans missing out on trophies and Arsenal getting pipped to the league should get those fanbases riled up and calling for sanctions
I get what you are saying. But……..
it‘s hard to understand or predict the implications off where the state ownership has taken the game and maybe worse still, where it will go. I understand why you might want basically United to lose.
What’s worse is, in a years time United (or ourselves) could be owned by one of these states. If that happens, that state (by sort of default) immediately “buys or inherits” our history/trophycount/fanbase/culture etc. iI’s a reasonably possible scenario that stinks and doesn’t bear thinking about. It seems to be a slow, but potentially accelerating death of our game and our clubs.
Newcastle have crept up fast. I agree with poster who said we will soon see proposals like a Champions League final in Middle East. Probably City Vs PSG. We could also possibly see City/Newcastle home and away games as showpiece games at their owner states homes? All this isn’t hard to imagine.
If United (or us) go to that ownership model, it’s the endgame. Our game, our culture and clubs are basically gone for me. As hard as it is to say, something tells me it’s better non state funded United wins the League Cup
As much as I agree with every word of that, I don't see how Utd winning the cup would make any difference.
Fair enough. Hopefully they both lose.
...

Did you read the official response to the press from the Saudi Embassy to the executions, it basically said mind your own fecking business and keep your nose out of our country.
A dictator who has the West by the bollocks will believe he can do what the feck he wants and the Tories and the PL allowed them to infect the PL. It's depressing as feck how backward the human race is.

Football can collapse for all I care these days, its killed itself with greed.

Yeah it is in a bad way in this country now I mean as much as I hate United at least their success was earned.

No wonder why they're performing so well.
Rate of executions in Saudi Arabia almost doubles under Mohammed bin Salman
Last six years among bloodiest in kingdom’s modern history despite push to modernise.. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/feb/01/executions-in-saudi-arabia-almost-double-under-mohammed-bin-salman

Crazy how much of a huge drop Liverpool had this season after being excellent last season compared to how poor we were last season but so much better this season.

It’s always a possibility. These seasons always happen to top teams, especially in a team as competitive as this one. I can’t claim to know the reason(s), but you never know when it is going to fall apart. I imagine it only takes a drop of about 10% at this level, maybe less, which could occur for a number of reasons. Very hard to maintain excellence. Even this season, it looks at the moment that City will struggle to match our currently unreplicated 3 titles in a row. Very hard to do for a reason.

The video of Pep Ljinders going around giving his book to the players is strange.

Thanks for posting, that's first time I seen that. That is so cringe, you just know those backroom staff are going WTF. Reminds me of Alan Partridge hawking his book at the train station.

It's been too long since I enjoyed a RAWK meltdown thread, long may it continue
