RAWK Goes Into Meltdown 2015-16 Edition

We're through.
Good enough for me.
It Seems the penny has dropped for at least one poster over there...
We're doing fecking terrible....and we're doing fecking terrible purely because of one man. He's been completely found out, every passing game makes it abundantly clear that he had one freak season because of Luis Suarez and the longer he is here, the further we'll be from competing. He's doing his best to make us worse than under Hodgson. It's incredible really.

But not for all of them it seems...
I hope the fecking dickheads hounding out the manager, hoping we lose so he can get the sack, don't ever try to preach about the liverpool way or pretend somehow Liverpool is above everyone else. Are we shite. Easy to be high and mighty when we're winning things all the time but when times are hard you can always rely on a tonne of total shithouses coming to the fore.

Lock the thread, he's nailed it.

We're doing terrible? Really? I hadn't noticed. Thank God we have geniuses like you on here to tell us these things.

I can't believe there are Liverpool fans who believe that crap about 'one freak season', and it all being down to Suarez. Kenny had Suarez, did he nearly win the League? We also had Suarez the next season, did we nearly win the League then? What you're suggesting is that Rodgers has always been crap, if that's the case then in 2013/14 the team would've been playing just as shite as now, but Suarez would pop up with the goals to win us games. Anyone who watched us that season would know that wasn't the case - the whole team played well (mostly). So clearly Rodgers got some things right, because a shite team with a shite manager but one world class striker does not come anywhere near winning the League.

And if it's so obvious that Rodgers is some kind of fraud, were you saying that in 2013/14? Were you saying we were shit except for Suarez? I don't think so.

It was Suarez and Sturridge being fit at the same time for mostly the whole season. Those two had an unreal understanding. Honest question, when was the last time a team had 2 of the leagues top 3 strikers at the same time?

That's bollocks. We must have missed out on another 50 goals that season because they wouldn't bloody pass to each other.

Without those two, we concede more goals and score less. What does that tell you? Any manager who knows how to defend would have walked the league that season. That season was like having 2 Agueros in the team fit for 80% of the season.

I thought Rodgers was the one behind it but I was wrong. he can't set up a defence and can't set up an attack and his attempts at replacing those two show that he had nothing to do with it. He can't even sign players with similar attributes to Suarez and Sturridge.

Aww he got through to him eventually.

Can we just remind ourselves than the man who said 'We play with eleven men, other teams play with ten men and a goalkeeper' is currently in charge of the most calamitous keeper in the league. There aren't many back fives in the PL at the moment who look more likely to feck up trying to play it out than Liverpool's.

Bogdan Is probably a better keeper than Mingolet IMO, he saved 3 of the 5 penalties tonight didn't he?

Yep, although he was badly at fault for Carlisle's goal, which is a more significant concern given how rarely it is useful to be a good penalty saver. Plus the saved penalties in that game were mostly just crap, barring Gillespie's from Coutinho.

I'm really not sure who I'd pick if I was Rodgers. Neither is a particularly appealing option. I can still hear Neville absolutely taking apart their back five's efforts to pass it out against us.

Full Times

Mancs 3 Ipswich 0
5 Times Champions of Europe 1 Twice winners of The Football League Trophy 1

3 times winners of the Segunda 4 - 1 5 Times Champions of Europe.

Not a good night for those 5 times champions of Europe, is it?

Bayern used all the 5-times luck yesterday.

There is still some sweet delusion

Whichever way you look at it it`s too early to make this kind of conclusive judgments. It`s not untenable yet - though it`s mightily close - and we`re not officially out of anything yet. Big chances are it might become untenable but with all the quality we have in the squad we could easily turn it around too

At the end of the day mate, they're human beings. Why pass judgment so soon? Can't they improve? We're only 6 games in. Look at the positive; we haven't got going yet we're only 2 points behind Arsenal and 1 point ahead of Chelsea. We're more or less where we want to be to challenge for top 4. On top of that, we're going through easily the toughest start of any club considering the away matches.

but plenty are starting to see the light

he mentality is, he's doing a TERRIBLE job, making the same terrible mistakes, picking the same terrible players who make said terrible mistakes, and is getting terrible results. How often can you blame Lovren without blaming Rodgers for picking him? Or Milner for taking a terrible corner? Or for Lallana doing nowt? Or Mignolet making a mistake? These are Rodgers players.

Bogdan, Clyne, Lovren, Moreno, Can, Allen, Milner, Firmino, Coutinho, Ings. All Rodgers players.

When we went to United like a League Two side hoping for a cup replay, same again. Mignolet, Clyne, Lovren, Gomez, Can, Milner, Firmino, Ings, Benteke.

At what point is the buck actually allowed to stop with the manager without silly dooper-fans like this dropping shit like 'kneejerk' and 'Sly Sports/Talksh*te generation wankers'?

Yep, lock the thread.

It's not Brendan's fault that we just scraped through with a near full strength team against a mid-table League 2 side. It's kneejerk Sky generation fans.

It's not Brendan's fault we've scored 18 in 21 odd games. It's horrible, evil forum posters.

It's not Brendan's fault we've won 4/5 games in 19 odd... It's everyone else's.

Yep, lock it up. fecking kneejerk, fair weather 'supporters' not seeing all the positives in our play right now.

Off you go, Brendan. To be taken to penalties by Keith Curle's Carlisle at Anfield (all due respect and all that) is a sackable offence in itself. I felt embarrassed we celebrated at the end to be honest. The players should have just shook Bogdan's hand, clapped the fans and got down the tunnel.

Well it's safe to say Firmino looks like he's going to be roaring success.....

They're awful, if it wasn't for Coutinho I wouldn't know where a goal could possibly come from.

This makes for sad reading. We need Rodgers to go on some 5 match winning streak so that we can read all about how this team has a better base talent than Barca.

Giving it to Coutinho 25yds out in the old inside left channel is now their main tactic. Minority are just trying to out-loyal each other, majority are just magnificently abusive.

Happy days really.

Some unpleasant suggestions that Andrew from Allerton has resorted to taking the piss.

Anyway.. The game today/tonight/nearly tomorrow..

Extra time, penalties, a rip-roaring cup game, loads of shots, not so many goals, a plucky lower-level team that gave their all, weren't scared to have a go and gave 100%. Loud and jubilant away fans and (at last) a win for the Mighty Reds.

Had everything that game. Except goals. And maybe a bit of class, but hey - wasn't pretty. But do you know what really counts?

Do you?

The win. I'm chuffed to bits. So meh meh meh to the moaning minnies. We're through to the next round!! HURRAH!

Just know I'm made up that we're through... that's good enough for me mate.

Through in the cup and another home tie. Made up

Always makes me noggin wobble when a club gets a win (No matter how) and people moan.

Just seems a bit odd. The whole point of football is to try and win isn't it? Cup games are notorious for banana-skins and shock results.

We got through. We had a ton of chances and still won the game overall.

If you can't be happy with a win when following a football club then what? 'Playing well' - does that count with 'playing well' and losing?

Cheers up yer old buggers, make a cup o' tea and have a jolly good grin. We won!! We're through!!! Yay!! Home tie as well!! Yay!

What's not to like?

reading parts of RAWK it feels like they've hit the "apathy" phase, half of them seem jaded while other half are furious at how poorly they're doing, with no one thinking that things will get better (with good reason)

reminds me of caf during moyes' reign.

Its nights like this that I really wish I had bothered to register with RAWK in the 5 min window they had about 7 years ago. :(

I have an account, actually. Though probably associated with an old email and the username of which I couldn't tell you. I never posted, just got it to read the site when it was locked to members only.

I don't like this phase of theirs tbh. I prefer it when they're in the "deluded as feck" stage.

Not the same poster.

Yeah I seem to recall that guy firmly putting to bed any possible connection with "that redcafe nob head of the same name".

Yeah, there was much better material to post 5 weeks ago. It's all a little deflating now reality has kicked in.

seems a long time back when we were rejected by Milner Clyne benteke and firmino. And that we signed a nobody, a raw talent, a washed up midfielder, a mid table midfielder and a useless keeper

And they also bought a midfielder who rejected City to join them for free along with the greatest free striker in the history of the PL.

So is Martial now the 2nd coming of George Best or what? Another one on one scored last night. Thats 3 in 3 games. He is truly amazing and will go on to be the best player ever in the universe.
Well he's already better than Macheda.
Andy@Allerton said:
To be fair you'd get a game ahead of Macheda
I'd prob get a game ahead of most of our side at the minute aswell mate and that's even with a dodgy ankle.

€80m :wenger:
Martial has done really well. It's as if he stepped up another gear since he came to the league. Think a lot of people will have egg on their face in a years time.
BarneyLFC said:
He's scored 4 goals. 3 one on ones, and a decent turn against Southampton for the 4th. Not denying he looks like a player, but €80m worth? Na. Nowhere near it yet.

A lot of corruption talk over the last few pages of the Van Gaal thread. Its been a while so we must be doing something right!.

It's a civil war going on at the moment at RAWK. Pro Rodgers and the one's who want him out.

The tactical change was a triumph: no one would deny that. It shored up the rickety centre of defence, it got Coutinho and Adam Lallana playing in pockets opponents found it hard to fill and it created space for Sterling. But then Rodgers, or somebody he had authorised, briefed a couple of journalists on how the scheme had been devised. It was as though Rodgers was already imagining a key scene in the biopic he assumes they will inevitably make of his life. And of course the next day, Manchester United won 2-1 at Anfield, Steven Gerrard was sent off and Liverpool began the slump from which they are yet to escape.
