RAWK Goes Into Meltdown 2015-16 Edition

that OP on the preview,

and the Manc relatives seem to have had some sort of population explosion, always good for a few stories, innit

After Rooney became top scorer for England:

Like a massive baked potato someone skewered a couple of blinking holes into

His post match "speech" in the changing rooms was like the worst Oscar acceptance speech I've ever hear.

Hilarious, tragic and brilliant!

Baked potato stand

Flat track bully.

What an endorsement of the England national team that Wayne Rooney is the record goalscorer & likely to become record appearance holder when his days are numbered.

Stern John has 70 goals in 115 appearances for Trinidad and Tobago, just putting that out there.

Marginally above average. Not very good, but marginally above average.

Obvious potato tbf.

He's just plain average these days.

That shinned overhead kick against City is one of the most overrated goals of all time. Does my head in everytime Sky try to portray it as one of the great Premier League goals.

Suarez scored 6 better for us alone.

Just came to know that I have been chosen for the newbie exchange program, so i would start by posting on one of my favorite threads on caf :D

This guy claims to be an Arsenal fan, he is twice bitter about United than any other RAWK member and can spin any situation to Doom & Gloom for united. Here he is comparing De Gea to Fabian Delph and giving his valuable input on the possibility of De Gea signing a new contract. He might be Paul Merson in disguise:
The North Bank @ RAWK said:
Makes no difference, Fabian Delph mark 2. Sign a contract with a low release clause. Fans buy your shirt, sing your name. Off to a bigger club in the summer for a nominal fee, instead of you getting the fee as a signing on bonus, it goes to Man Utd, who already passed it on to you in 500% wage increase.
It's all just money shuffling to make everyone look a little better and appease the easily fooled and overly optimistic Man Utd fans. Even when he leaves in the summer they'll be spun a story that he got sold against his wish because Manuel Neuer is coming and they'll believe it.

Another RAWKite on De Gea possibly signing a new contract:
RAWK said:
I have a feeling this whole saga won't make much of a difference to anything, other than highlighting in front of the world that Utd are no longer in the top echelon of clubs aka Real/Barca/Bayern. Even PSG, Chelsea and City have a stronger pull factor than them now, and are routinely embarrassing them in the transfer market.

It's another sign that they have the potential of becoming what we did in the early 90s.

RAWK investigators have inside info on DDG's new contract already :)
Wages ranging anywhere from 200k-300k pw & a paltry 10m release clause. Basically, Real Madrid are the beneficiaries :
If he gets 300k a week out of them, plus sign on bonus, he'd be looking at 20m for this season vs the 44k a week he'd be on otherwise. Man Utd put a 20m release clause on it and then regardless of whether they'd not be making a profit next summer if the clause was triggered, they wouldnt look like amateurs as they wouldve sold him for 20m

RAWK said:
Rumor is 200,000 per week and a 10 mil buyout.

They keep him happy for a season and RM get their man but have to pay United a token fee.

Otherwise, DDG doesn't sign, United get nothing next summer, and RM pay him a sign on bonus of 15-20 mil. RM still save money over what they would have paid this summer to United.

Some gems on the upcoming United vs Liverpool fixture from their preview thread

Their left hand side - Luke Shaw is fecking dire, we need to target that side as much as possible. if deployed on their left does not track back much and leaves Shaw massively exposed and IMO Shaw played like a Sunday league player at times, needing 3 touches to bring the ball under control. This is a weak area for the rats and should be strong focus for our attacks.

They can win, we can win, they can lose, we can lose, or they can draw, we can draw.

3 - 1 to the Mighty Reds

The first one starts with a promising build up from Lucas, he passes it wide and it's knocked forward by Clyne and nicely brought down by Benteke. A quick look and a nice cross meets the head of Lallana past the, let's face, not really arsed hands of (Insert random keepers name here)

Luis Van Footpump's head has been steadily inflating since kick off and the sight of this easily conceded goal turns his pump up to VanDoompadungaBOOM! Level number 4 which causes his head to inflate so much that it floats off over the Stretford End and a Manchester United lacky is sent to recover it. In the meantime, Van Headless pushes his neck stump into the fourth official who eventually screams "GIVE THEM A PEN!!! PLEASE!!! FOR THE LOVE OF PETE!!! GIVE THEM A PEN!!!" thus instructed, he nips down the tunnel with Giggseh.

Manchester United are awarded a penalty and Rooney (After a brief pause where his hairpiece tries to elope with Van boombles head into the ether but is slapped down and pasted on with super-wiggie) slots it calmly away.

The Old Trafford faithful sing about Gerrard and Liverpool for the next 30 minutes until someone reminds them that their team is actually here.

Half time comes and goes and the Lackey returns with the dented and out of shape inflatable head which is superglued back onto boombles neck. He holds his nose and optimum inflation is soon reached. The lackey spends the next ten minutes picking chewing gum from the Inflated ones hair.

The second half is inspiring and the Reds, bored at last quickly finish two lovely goals (Both slotted away by Benteke) - with such ease, in fact that it's hardly worth even descr..

Weakest United squad in 30 years. Pity ours is also.

Lovren to score a towering and thundering header deep into stoppage time for the narrowest of 1-0's... Just hope he scores it at the right end

Some of the comments are quite witty. I actually like RAWK sometimes. A lot on there know their stuff.
Bluemoon is just full of hate.

Definitely still some tension there between De Gea and United.

I think it's the first ever contract renewal/transfer PR statement I've seen released from them where the player hasn't used the "biggest team in the world" line.

He's rebelling. Head's been turned.
He will be gone next summer.Let the mancs dream that they will keep him.
I'd expect a low release clause to be leaked ( £10/15m) probably only if Madrid or Barca come calling

Oh the sweet irony - A RAWKite calling United fans "Delusional" :)
RAWK said:
They think they have fecked over Madrid. Thats the funny thing.

Real Madrid will get their way, United will get one more season from DDG. If anyone thinks their isn't a get out clause in that new contract they are delusional.

RAWK said:
Most loyal Manc since Wayne Rooney.
Worth every penny when he lets 5 in this weekend
If all the reports about his missus wanting to be in Madrid are true, then there is no chance what so ever that there isn't a release clause.

RAWK said:
they now have 3 keepers in De Gea, Valdes and Romero probably earning about 350-400k a week between them.

This one is very Angry :nervous:
He's a spawney bastard and him signing an improved deal, means feck all. You can't buy luck.

However - You can sell your soul to the devil to which that bacon faced, incontinent, incoherent, alcoholic, four-eyed, sister fingering, inbred, lying, cheating, arse wipe from Govan, did. But you can't buy luck.

This comment made me chuckle

I don't actually remember Sir Alex fingering his sister. Does he even have a sister?
I think he's referring to his brother in law's sister.

Or maybe he is referring to his own dad? Performing that activity is a norm in Liverpool i hear.

Anywho, some of them have reacted to Brendan Rodger's comment about how their 3- 0 loss at Old Trafford last years, was the "best lost ever" he had as a manager. :p

RAWK said:
We should have won that game last year. I know we lost 3-0 but it was not a fair score at all.

Sterling and balotelli should have had 5 between them
It was absurd really. There's not many times you can claim to of been the better side despite losing 3-0, this was one of them.

Chance after chance, save after save. One of the strangest games I've watched.
Laughing at that
Absolutely insane
Every defeat should be fking crap

Tbh, I think that may have been the consensus on here. They were the better team. Just DDG was in God mode, and Balotelli was in Balotelli mode. Stwrling was wasteful too.

We were the better team and deserved to win. There's no such thing as a lucky 3-0 win.

So no unlucky defeats either?

A 1 goal defeat can be a lucky one. A 3-0 loss can't. De gea is part of our team. He saved the shots and Brad Jones didn't. That's not our fault. Would you say their 5-1 win against arsenal was lucky because they had Suarez in God Mode?

Just to clarify, saying they played better is not the same as saying they were unlucky ( which I didn't ).
It happens all the time.

What's their beef with Shaw? Seen them destroying him over there..He's been class this season, or is that just me?

Because he's a good player and their overpriced left back they bought last year has turned out to be garbage and has lost his place to an 18 year old signed from Charlton.

If you are the better team. You are supposed to win. If you don't then you are unlucky. isn't that the line of thought? Anyway fwiw I don't think they played that well. Their finishing was abysmal defence was nowhere to be seen and midfield was poor.

Who's line of thought?
The better team can sometimes lose you know?
Our keeper was immense. We created fewer chances but took them. One was offside.
They were poor at both ends but on another day, they score could easily have been reversed.

The fact our keeper was motm in a 3-0 shows that we weren't great Iin defence or midfield either.
Our strikers did their job, their's didn't.

Since the Liverpool 15/16 thread was locked, I'll post my thoughts as a 'pool fan here :D Perhaps they'll help balance out some of the RAWK-ness that's inbound.

United deserved the win, but I don't think we were outmatched or outplayed by much. A well worked free kick and an inexperienced tackle from our LB gave you a lead we couldn't catch, but that aside, De Gea had more to do than Mignolet. Great goals from Benteke & Martial made up for the first half, at least.

Our forwards needed a lot more creativity behind them, and that's why I pretty much gave up all hope after Cou got suspsended. Expected a loss, got a loss, not that arsed... Maybe I'm just a casual fan? Who knows, but meh, that's one of our toughest games this season out of the way, so hopefully we can put out a better performance next time out. Norwich > Carlisle > Villa should give us plenty of time to recover from this, provided we get the cup place and 6 points.

Loads of salt in their post match thread. They can't just accept the defeat, they have to add "lost to a piss poor Utd team", "lost to the worst Utd team in living memory" etc.
If we are the worst Utd side in living memory, then what the hell are they lol.

Beaten by the worst Utd team i've ever seen. Embarrassing more than anything.

Interesting how every time we beat them, they lost to the "worst United team yet". Year in, year out, for 22 years and counting every team we field seems to be the worst to date so you'd assume we would have hit some planck length by now.

Was bizarre how you played with Ings yet didn't have him up front

Yep. They are ridiculous.

Yeah, same with Arsenal fans. Can't believe someone would seriously think that after the Moyes era.
