RAWK Goes Into Meltdown 2015-16 Edition

We're both obsessed with each other, what is the point denying it?
There's a difference though.

They're obsessed and envious of a FIVE TIME European champion who just hired the most captivating manager in the world.

We're obsessed with laughing at a train slowly derailing, car by car, while the deluded passengers inside still think life is going to be wonderful like it always was.

His last sentence could have described Liverpool at almost any point in the last 26 years.

Liverpool derailed a long time ago, no big player goes there anymore.

Big players want to leave such as Suárez, Torres, Alonso, Mascherano because after a year carrying the team they realise it's just not going to result in trophies.

They realise they are much bigger players and could play for Europes Elite.

Managers go in energetic and happy at a big job and wanting to restore the aura of the club but leave jaded, fatigued and every day is groundhog day for Liverpool, the same song sung at each kick off.

Each season new names arrive and because they're played at a sub-par team in a big league they're suddenly a hidden gem (Matip), other players like Sanchez decide I'll go to Arsenal instead.

Yet United sign someone like Martial for a big fee, Shaw for a big fee and it's a huge waste of money. 2 Years later, Moreno didn't pan out, Suarez has left, Sterling gave up, Sturridge is injured, they're left with a "hard-worker" in the mould of Kuyt for a captain and it's back to how it was under the latter stages of Rafa.

You just couldn't write what goes on at Liverpool.

And they'll all be lonely tonight,
And lonely tomorrow

They're calling Mourinho the "special needs one" always classy.

Apparently they only need 3 players and they'll challenge for the league.

But we need a whole new team.

Finished higher and actually won a trophy, in spite of Van Hoof.

Delusion, it's the Liverpool way.

p.s. Sakho is still god-tier. Despite conveniently being shite when I watch him.

If they got Suarez, Neymar, Messi maybe ;)

It's typical of their cycle. The optimism sky-rockets when conveniently no games are being played to dismantle the delusion. But once the games get underway and reality starts slowly kicking in...

It must really suck to be a Liverpool fan, all of that history which they will probably never come close to matching again.

But hey, if we were stupid enough to appoint Giggs as manager after LVG we could have been just as mediocre as they are.

'think weve got a chance this year, Rodgers, Klopp, Cilla really building something'

'wow these are really shit now aint they, the empires finally crumbled and they don't even know it. cant wait to smash these manc twats at Anfield'

'fecking hell, how did that happen, worst united side in 20 years'

'next year, la'

rinse repeat

How are Man Utd better than us though? We're in a far better shape then they need a whole new team we just need 2 or 3 players and we're ready to challenge again.

Higher in the league, won a trophy last week.

That being the case, why do they need a whole new team and we don't?

RAWK in a nutshell

Obsessed with them? I couldn't give two fecks about what they do. If they were to bring in Neymar, Messi et al, like we've been taking the piss, I still wouldn't give a feck. I'm only concerned about what we're doing. If we do our job right, why be concerned about what anyone else is at?
reply in the united thread

His won more against Liverpool than any other premier league side.

No wonder they worried.

Their reaction to Mourinho

Trying so desperately to convince themselves they're happy with it :lol::lol:

The sub-text is the the best calling Mourinho a "s***coat", they're essentially saying "I don't care if they have the best manager in the PL Era in terms of win percentage".

"I don't care if he's won titles everywhere he's gone within the first 2 years", "I don't care he'll bring in world class players".

It's like saying, I don't care if my rival lives in a Mansion, can afford all these nice cars and luxuries, I'm happy with mediocrity

I don't get the shit coat insult, is there some underlying meaning or do they actually think he doesn't dress well? I get he's no Luis Enrique with his Stone Island coats but he's not as bad as Wenger surely?

This is an excellent analysis of Liverpool. You've read them for the shit book that they are.

Although it could easily be wrong, I vaguely remember them using it as an insult when they were playing Chelsea in a cup game at the Millennium Stadium. They were singing about it being from Matalan. I guess they thought it was a hilarious culture reference, one that later turned into a more general taunt. Aside from the fact that he just looks normal, I do wonder if they ever take a look at themselves. Going off some of the pictures we've seen on here, they ought to.

It sounds like it would be something like that. I remember Kenny on the touch line in a Liverpool tracksuit Sports Direct wouldn't give a second look at.

Sorry but I wouldn't touch any of those.

Sakho > Smalling

Shaw hasn't proved anything yet, we will definitely get a better LB than Moreno in the summer I think.

Henderson > Herrera

I don't understand why some people (not from here but on Twitter and Facebook) are convinced Man Utd ARE BACK! They have a huge task ahead, bigger than us, Man City, Chelsea...
United fan:
We need a whole squad despite winning a trophy and finishing above you with a manager who created 500 pages of laughter this season, but you only need 2 or 3 players and you'll challenge for the league?
huh.gif
Response:
We embarrassed you in the only competition we took seriously since late Feb.

I actually think we need 4 players but yep, we'll challenge, you'll rebuild to the tune of 300M, again.

Johnno
to be honest Ex, yes you turned us over but don't know about you embarrassing United on the night. If our two chances had been buried it could easily have gone the other way. The only embarrassing thing I have seen in recent weeks was in the final against Sevilla - where at least 8 or 9 of said embarrass-ees were wearing Liverpool red shirts mate. Never seen a collapse like that from a Liverpool side in a long, long time - and in a euro final too. 36 year old Kolo Toure was the best fella wearing red that night and I think that speaks absolute volumes about the rest who unbelievably went AWOL.
He actually had a slight dig at Liverpool wow:lol:

I don't watch any of the coverage, the only way I am keeping up with the Mourinho stuff is in this thread where I know I will get an unbiased neutral opinion of it all........

Sometimes they say there is no original thought in the world, that guy can actually take pride in the thought that's the first time that has run across anybodies mind.

"I need an unbiased neutral opinion, let's go to RAWK"

That's a depressingly accurate analysis of the club since 2009. I don't like reading it but it's hard to disagree.

Not sure where to post this, but here is as good as any:

If you kill yourself, its called suicide
If you kill someone else, its homicide
If you kills load of people its called genocide
When you can't win the title for a 26+ years .... its called merseyside!

I never understood the bragging about ''5 times, mate''. That's like being jealous of AC Milan for winning it 8 times when like Liverpool, then haven't a hope in hell of winning it ever again. It really is a money game and it's only a matter of time (maybe two decades) before we win 2 more. Then what will they brag about? If only someone cared other than them
