RAWK Goes into Meltdown 2014/2015 - The "We go again" Edition

They seem to be having a minor reality check over there. Even calling for the axe to drop on Stevie starfish, he's the root cause of their defensive frailties according to a few.
Don't worry Maru, Sturridges return and a win against West Ham should stoke the fires again.

Not laughing at RAWK here but now we have final won a game the tone has reverted to 'after spending £145m, LVG should be talking about, aiming for and having a fecking good look at the title' but they forget brentan Rodgers has spent £200m and had time to shape the squad, formation tactics etc, yet gets allowance for aiming for fourth as that's the realistic aim, pot met kettle surely!!

QPR played right into their hands over the weekend. It was abysmal. Arry obviously thought he was up against a vintage Ferguson side with the way he set up his lot to play. I don't think other managers will be so naive. United have a lot of big names in their ranks now, but when you cut through that it's a bit shocking how dependent they are on Di Maria. They really need him to stay healthy and in form because they're frighteningly devoid of pace without him. Opposition sides shouldn't be scared to come out and play against them. For some reason QPR just ceded the ball and territory to United as if they were in danger of getting torn open on the counter. United's midfield and defense had a walk in the park, but I wouldn't trust either unit against a side that actually looks to challenge them and I don't fear the likes of Rooney, Van Persie, Falcao, and Mata as a counter-attacking outfit. Compare that to the classic Ferguson units who would absolutely destroy sides when left in 3v3 or 4v4 situations. It was almost a guaranteed goal, so the lesser sides had to cede them possession to some extent. You don't need to do that with this side. As great as Di Maria is (and he's phenomenal) I don't think he's good enough to consistently overcome their flaws. I think they're clearly the 5th or 6th best side in the country and unless they find time machines for Rooney and Van Persie I can't see them surpassing last season's top 4 (I thought they had a slight chance before they gave Welbeck to Arsenal).

Love a myopic post from RAWK, Liverpools season hits the skids because of injury to Sturridge yet we are totally dependent on Di Maria (whose played 3halves of football in a United shirt and had one top drawer game whilst we have Falcao still to come in and RVP to find any form.

Also Rooney was recorded as united's fast runner on Sunday and was devastating with Ronaldo and tevez in probably one of the best counter attacking teams ever.

As Liverpool are finding out this year blistering pace is not everything, you need creativity and a ball carrier, and lots of movement. Suarez and sterling provided creativity last year, with sturridge adding movement, now sterling is double marked and ballotelli a statue. We have mata, Herrara Rooney, Falcao on the move and di Maria able to carry, plus abundant creativity, obviously we need to click but we aren't any more dependent on our best players than any other big team. Imagine saying Chelsea are dependent on costa, sure they will miss his 7 goals in 4 games, but can still play football.

Anyway, the main thing I want to point out was this nugget "I think they're clearly the 5th or 6th best side in the country and unless they find time machines for Rooney and Van Persie I can't see them surpassing last season's top 4 (I thought they had a slight chance before they gave Welbeck to Arsenal)." So not only is it clear that we are the 5th/6th best side, behind Everton/spurs, but it's losing welbeck and gaining Falcao that keeping us out of the top 4!! Wish this chump had piped up before September 1st and told LVG he didn't have a clue, welbeck is clearly superior to Falcao.

It's amazing how Danny is suddenly the best striker in the world ever, he was behind RVP and Rooney for 9 , Rooney and mata for 10 and now behind di Maria for wide left, even if Falcao had not come

Criticising us for being dependent upon on one player when Suarez carried them last season and they relied upon Mr. Soft Penalty many-a-game. Hypocrites of the highest level.

But But But what about their NET spending? Lol

Our answer to the net spend should be our title winning moneys, we bought RVP for £22m but won the title and got 60m, so RVP cost -38m. It makes as much logic as net spend. You can cycle players year after year (see Torres - Carroll - Suarez - lambert - Balotelli) or you can buy a class player (Rooney) and keep them for their career and win things which also pays for their transfer. Though on the net spend I see that most sites show Suarez sale at £65m per Barca's statement. It's like triggers brush in fools and horses, they tell us it's the same pounds that they spend to justify all the shite that they've dragged through the club.

And the Welbeck effect is the inverse of the Suarez effect I've noted. Suarez was an effective player feared by opposition players and fans whose contribution has been revised and minimised upon sale. Welbeck was an inefficient player mocked by opposition fans whose profligacy has been revised and minimised upon sale.

They reckon over there that we will find it tough against Leicester though no doubt if we win, their post match view will be that it was only Leicester.

From Rawk:
SG had, in general, a very good game. Momentary lapses happen very often without any negative consequences. It's only when they result in something bad (e.g. a goal scored by the opposition) that they're noticed by most and focused on.

Er, what?? I think a player who has a lot of momentary lapses is considered a shite player.

Leicester - It's only Leicester
West Ham - Sam Allardyce is nonsense
Everton - United are just lucky to this time around
Chelsea- They bought the ref
Man City - They bought the FA

My word, there are murmurings of discontent with Steven George Gerrard. (Stevie Gee-Gee?) One poster is suggesting that Brendan may not have the balls to drop the Slipper Skipper. (Who's going to take all these penalties?)

Gerrard's balls now the size of Jupiter or, balls so big
''if you filled a bath with 1mm of water and Stevie sat in it, the bath would overflow''

More balls reportage as we get it.

Going by Leicester's performances I expect it to be a tough game actually. But yeah, they'll always find a way to explain why a victory of ours means nothing.

Christ, I would've thought that would be a banning offense over there.

Lallana is a great player, one of the best in the league. His ability to turn sharply either direction is unparalleled in the liverpool squad. Once he gets match fit we'll see one of the most elusive and unpredictable players in the game. He is outstanding.

out all our talented summer purchases lallana is the most interesting for me. I've never seen a player be able to turn in either direction like him, his change of direction will give the likes of hummels and T. silva nightmares in europe.

Twenty five million for a lad that can 'turn sharply either direction'. Value if I've ever seen it!

Same fella goes on to deduce that...

To be honest mate, he might not have xavi's metronomic passing but his ability to weave past defences is superior to the spaniard by a mile

Adam Lallana. Christ.

Christ, here we have signed Di Maria who's played at a world class level both league games and we've talked about our pleasure in watching him play where as Lallana has done feck all and he's getting compared to both Iniesta and Xavi by two different posters on two different occasions

I mentioned in the newbs that I had never looked at RAWK, only ever read the comments posted here. I had a look at their LVG thread and promptly closed it when I read 'Falcao genuinely overrated by everyone'. I opened Chrome up today and for some reason that was still in my 'reopen closed tabs' and I noticed they put a video of a United fan unboxing his kit and the name on the back was Welbeck. Obviously before he left. Had a pretty cracking chuckle to be honest, so thanks RAWK for that one.

Lallama on par with Xavi - RAWK

This kind of overhyping happens. It's good for a fanbase to be excited about one of their players. I'm sure that after a few more exciting performances from Di Maria and we'll start comparing him to Ronnie as well. But at least we wait until our players have actually done something before hyping them up.

Lallana's had 2 games, 1 of which was against a team making their CL debut and he's been absolutely faceless in both. Fluffed a good bit of chances and hasn't delivered a single lethal ball. After his "sharp turns", he has no idea what to do with it. Sideways passing and fear of taking a player on.

Closer to Cleverley than Xavi.

My dream in life is to empty my bowls on the kop...

Someday......

Done, there was a time in the late 60s and early 70s when you had no choice, if you were in the middle of the kop during a match you were going no where,

I swear there are no normal people posting in that place, some of the stuff they keep coming out with , Like someone's got a gun to their heads forcing them to sprew that crap.

Apparently we only signed Falcao and Di Maria because nobody wanted them, but the absolute A listers they bought in such as Lallana, Balotelli had all of Europe's elite clubs crawling all over them.

Oh and didn't you know, our squad is worse than Liverpools, Tottenhams and Evertons now

This lad David on 606 is comedy. His voice is so whiny, proper Melvin. I used to think he was a wum, but he's been around too long for that.

Yeah, I've heard stories about people doing their business in that stand back then. The good old days, eh?

Threads getting locked down left and right. Individual players getting slammed, especially Mignolet and Borini. And the match isn't even over yet, still over twenty minutes to go..

Early days but to my mind, whatever happens in this game, they are not getting top four this year. If we don't finish above this lot we need our bollocks flicking.
