Its 6 times now lads.

 One of my favourite ever RAWK quotes (which I can't now find) was when someone on there started talking about how fans from all the other Champions League clubs would be silently thinking 'it's good to have you back Liverpool' after their 5 year absence as if anyone could give a feck. Hilarious.

That's a pisstake surely?

We'd laugh and joke about them suddenly turning round and saying Milner is amazing but someone didn't seriously post that...

He was, as you'd expect, called out on it but responded as such:

Milner is underrated. He is fantastic. Man City were offering him 165k a week. That proves his importance.
[and on Ings not being able to make it to the England U21 squad] U21 appearance is not necessarily a true indicator of a great prospect. How he does at highest level is. The lad got 11 goals for worst team in league. Surely that means something?

deep down really though were they...'concerned'?

At least none of Ronaldo's fanboys on here claimed Madrid's win last year was United's fourth Champions League title.
That would be crazy; though we are taking credit for all of Pique's wins since he left us, which made 2009 and 2011 far more tolerable. 6 times you Scouse bastards!

It is because of these deluded fans that the club's owners and the people at the helm can get away with incompetence on a grand scale. They have blown millions but have somewhat stayed at the same level as they were 10 years back but their fans have been permanently in a celebratory mood.

The narrative changes for a few weeks when the season comes to and end and Liverpool is nowhere near winning a trophy but it goes straight back to square one at the start of the transfer window.

Serious question - what is the incentive for the owners/transfer committee to pursue a high profile target like Depay and make an investment when fans are rejoicing the signings of Milner and Ings?

I remember some claiming that Ronaldo was going to win/score "for us" (United fans), when they played at Anfield earlier on in the season.
But yeah, this takes the biscuit.

If you're going to have a banner made up like that, you'd surely try to find rhyming sentences with the same amount of syllables.

It sounds like poetry written by a 10 year old.

I know, right? It doesn't even scan. How hard would it have been to add a "now" in that last line, for example. The best part, though, is "sleepy giants." Almost as if they couldn't quite remember the term "sleeping giants" and took a wild stab at it.

I imagine its like when your kid has done a really shit drawing and you have to look like they're the next Picasso. The other fans were probably going 'La, it's mint that our Jim!' while silently wishing they were dead.

Its 6 times now lads.

A lot of Liverpool fans didn't want Barcelona to win the Champions League because they didn't want Barcelona to tie their 5 trophies.

I suppose this is their way to justify it? joke of a club really, they are like the Romans, they conquered got lazy now nobody speaks of them only in historical terms.

We're actually level with Milan on 7, as Mata was player of the year in 2012.

The media spent most of last season blowing them off.

Half of the media are Liverpool fans. How many ex Liverpool pundits are there? On Sky sometimes you get Carragher, Souness and Redknapp. There's plenty on MOTD. On BT sport they've Michael Owen and McManaman. It's like they're filling a quota.

Liverpool are a bit like us in that they're a big story. It's either one extreme (last year's bulls..t and delusion) or another (all the whining this year even though it's in keeping with most of their recent league seasons).

They have a ready made chant for their new striker.
Because he is so shit,
Ings can only get better

He's so blunt its hilarious and unlike most pundits he's won it all and was the best midfielder of his generation so it's hard to argue with anything he says! Who would've thought quiet little Scholes would turn into such a dick after retirement
