If we had a PoP on the Cafe, who would it be?
If we had a PoP on the Cafe, who would it be?
A mod over there has locked the thread about Colin Pascoe leaving
Short answer is that there are some right shithouses who can't accept any view other than their own.
Good send off for xavi. Nothing on our send off for Stevie though
If we had a PoP on the Cafe, who would it be?
sigh
I don't even bother mate. Honestly.
His question to me was "If he was so good why did you guys fire him?"
I just said 4-1 and walked off.
We didn't push for Depay because we were focusing on securing a striker, seems we're incapable of competency in the transfer market.
He's right. We were in for Depay, but pulled out to focus on a striker after Sturridge got injured again
If we had a PoP on the Cafe, who would it be?
He isn't a mid table player hes now a Red,he plays for a team that I SUPPORT.Had people like you had your way we would have never made signings from mid table clubs, players like Aldridge,Barnes and Beardsley...and god knows what you would have made of Rush and Keegan coming from the lower leagues.
People with negative and blinkered views are never going to have their mindsets changed though.
I'm sure Xavi would have preferred getting hammered by Crystal Palace and Stoke to winning a treble.
Yeah, Stevie's farewell was truly spectacular, Barca players didnt even all have Xavi's shirts!

On Ings
At least none of Ronaldo's fanboys on here claimed Madrid's win last year was United's fourth Champions League title.
Its 6 times now lads.
I know, I thought it was an absolute gem of a post, especially when he rounds it off by saying "people with blinkered views are never going to have their mindsets changed"Even their justification for bad signings in 2015 are based on evidences from the 70s and 80s.
I despair that Van Gaal didn't at least try to buy someone from Aberdeen, now that they're doing so well. We'd do well to unearth a new Gordon Strachan.
Sigh. I remember the days of Suarez, Torres and even Morientes (even though he failed to make the impact expected) now it's Danny ings.
I wish him well but my expectations are not high at the moment. I hope he pleasantly surprises us all and he's more of an 1980s signing than a noughties one.
Its 6 times now lads.
I think its not with the scousers you'd never know.Is this real ? If so, an all time low for RAWK.
I think its not with the scousers you'd never know.
Didnt find it on rawk, I rarely if ever go there.
This one isn't real but it's still fun.
Yeah but Stevie had a great farewell party which Suarez missed. I'm sure he's depressed about it.Its so true. He nearly dragged them to a league last year and they have reverted to their usual spot again now that he's gone.
Do they ever quote posts from the Cafe on there as we do here?
No way did they actually put that up?

On Ings
Forget Ings himself, comparing 80s signings to one in 2015 is barmy in and of itself.some people on here tried defending Moyes by comparing his record to SAF she he started I admit, they got shot down though.
The delusion is still real. The only reason we were able to sign Depay:
Yes, the game has moved on to an extent. Unknowns from lower leagues just are not there any more, mainly because of TV coverage and that even league 2 players have agents now, promoting them and pushing them up the ladder to newer clubs, there are very, very few unknown quantities in professional football now.
The telling thing about Ings is that hes a free, and even then not many were in for him. If pool are happy with 7th - 5th place consolidation and europa every year, hes a clever signing, but he is not going to be someone who will push them to challenge for top four. Given the amount of money it would take to do that, it may be that fenway is actually going this route, which whilst not going to make fans happy, is probably sensible.

I'd say it was made up by the media. Completely.United were strongly linked with Ings as well at one point. We're competing well domestically at least.
I'd say it was made up by the media. Completely.
Well that someone is smart.Someone actually said that on RAWK
I am buzzing actually with these value for money signings. Milner is proven world - class and Ings is one of the hottest English prospects. Both we got for what? Almost free! Now we can splash out & throw money at bigger names without worry.
