RAWK Goes into Meltdown 2014/2015 - The "We go again" Edition

Rawk everyone

I didn't know anyone in Manchester that called themselves a Manc.
"I actually respect United, and that's amazing 'cause I'm a scouse cnut."

Article from the guardian yesterday, sums up Liverpool perfectly. Not quite RAWK but that's who it's aimed at.

Enjoy
wow thats some article, i didnt think a broadsheet would be so scathing and finally pour cold water on the whole club's precious self importance. shows why threads like this exist, and why the nation laughed at them last year

Judging by the tone I think it's just their daily football newsletter, so not printed in the actual paper. They post it on the site too, most of the time it's pretty crap. That one's great though!

I don't believe there'll be another ''Being Liverpool'' series, but if there is, Jordan Ibe better not disobey Brendan Rodgers like Raheem Sterling did.

It would have been amazing if the projector failed halfway through the Liverpool awards show with Brendan still on stage. Just imagine some audiovisual technician having to run on stage to try and sort the problem out, and Brendan talking about what a great technician he is.

Is Liverpool's team even that young? They constantly go on about how young there team is but I think I might be missing something

Did I read somewhere that our team's average age is actually younger than theirs? Also, Lallana has drunk from the fountain of youth and is eternally a youngster, despite being 27 (or something).

Their team is young, ours is just a tiny bit younger :D

i heard a whisper that when Rodgers was asked to give one word to describe Steven Gerrard he pondered and replied with "Liverpool"

Jesus Christ

Surely Liverpool are even younger now that Gerrard has left, the poor bastard aged about 12 years since his slip

I expected Chelsea's squad to be older

We have more chance getting DeGea than they do Sterling.

Spot on. How could De Gea resist the opportunity to pick up consecutive golden gloves and have Brendan whispering nonsensical musings into his ear each week? When you look at it like that, the prospect of playing for Real must be no more alluring than turning out for Cowdenbeath FC.

Already posted this elsewhere on the caf but it's one of my favourite melodramatic RAWK bits this year.

'Christ. Look at those smuggy, greedy, beady little eyes.

And the way he's holding the trophy that just screams "£100k a week? feck off, I want £300k".

Chilling, portrait of an evil man.'

TBF, the thread from that point on seems to be largely RAWK gold.

This might sound mental -- no, this will sound utterly fecking mental -- but, I think there's a chance Ibrahimovich might end up at Anfield, if they offer him a long-term deal and no team with CL football is in for him.

I know, it's RAWKish. I can just see him leaving PSG, no one else wanting him at his age, and Liverpool wanting to make a statement.

Ibrahimovic and Balotelli up top? Now that's seriously scary.. for Brentan to manage

We lost Suarez and Sturridge this season. We are miles off last season, but we are ahead of every other season since 2008/2009 without playing our best football.
wait....what?!

I can't see Rodgers ONLY wanting Premier League proven players. That seems an easy assumption. I think he more wants PROVEN players - players that are a lot closer to being ready than an Assaidi, Alberto or Manquillo. However, if he only wants players from the Premier League or who have played in the Premier League, then he's shooting himself in the foot because the club can't afford to buy the best of that crop ahead of the top four spenders. But as mentioned before - if that's something he wants, and he pays for it with his job, that's on Rodgers. If he's smart, he'll just ask for less kids and more full pros that we know can handle pressure, regardless of where they are from.
- Top four spenders: 1. Chelsea 2. Man City 3.Liverpool 4. Man Uniited
