Wow. they talk as if finishing 7th at the end of a season is the worst thing imaginable that can never be recovered from. They have done it themselves twice in the last three years.
The thing is, for someone who watched us get relegated, I know what a shite season is. Last year was pretty bad, bad manager, and the players didnt really cover themselves on glory either, we still won more silverware than the scouse though.

Funny how in their minds Liverpool actually are up there with us, Madrid and Barca, in reality they're probably a little bit smaller than Arsenal.

It's weird. Over the years we've finished second on several occasions and the season was never declared anything other than a failure.
I suppose a relevant question for our old tards would be if our second place finish in SAF's first full season was celebrated with the same gusto.
