RAWK Goes into Meltdown 2014/2015 - The "We go again" Edition

There was a group of posters on TheCaf 'not minding' LFC winning it last year in preference to City - I'm being as kind as possible, here.

''No, no, no... :nono:  etc etc. You don't know what it'll be like, fecking People's champions feck off, we had a very narrow escape, innit.

Frankly, if there have been no Suarez in their team, I'd be one of them, actually actively hoping.

Paradox hurts my cranium/eyes/insert as you please.

The word you are looking for is "confuses".

"Paradoxes hurts your confuses" is how it's used in a sentence.

I'm shocked, Mrs S.

I'm also now imagining lovable old Luis being photographed in the 'biting his medal' celebration pose. Aaargh.....

Honestly, it has felt like an age since I've read the "other teams bending over for United" comments. We may only be 4th but the world is slowly, surely, righting itself.
Did they miss stoke beating Unietd last season?

It was the refs that bent down for them last season. 12 pens. The next nearest was 7.

haven't seen anything of them lately but I read some articles today and I got the impression that they are 12 points clear at the top and Wogan has won FIFA World Player of the year after scoring v Hull ....

It's a real thing as well. I was out with a pool mate on Satruday when the score came up and he basically said the same shit, along the lines of "Bruce bending over at OT again then" "77% possession!? Well done Bruce"

Amazing.

Still can't believe people wanted them to win the league. I'd forgot about that.

What happened to them was hilarious.

Some weird things on RAWK if you look...

Took a stroll down the results comparison thread... http://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php?topic=315775.80
Essentially comparing like for like results this year to last, ok I get that... But they then take last years total points and add or subtract the performance this year for last so they have comfort we are seventh and comfortably behind them

Then there's their "Why Liverpool never win the league.. but maybe will?" thread.

Its not too bad but the end is typical of RAWK:

What should our expectations be?

I think the answer to that lies in mixing their hopes and passion with realism. The ‘reality’ seems to be that Arsenal will be our great rival going forward, and most seasons we’ll be fighting for fourth. A 3rd to 6th place finish will be common, but we can hope that strong revenue, good buying and a Rodgers with more experience can make the 3rd-4th place finishes more common in seasons that follow.

As for the title, we can hope to be in the discussion at some point each season.

And every so often, when the stars align and the hard work has been put in, we just might go again. We might just do the impossible.

Maybe another dynasty is impossible. Probably it is. But a club that matures into our owner’s vision is one that can win things, if not regular league titles, there are still Champions and Europa Leagues to win, FA Cups and league cups. And the glory of them all, the Community Shield.

YAWN

WTF? Had a few beers and the logic is somewhat mind - bending. Love the upshot being they should really be in third and us lower mid table though.
Does Successful post on Rawk?

That's a bizarre thread, so basically they won't win it unless all the stars suddenly align for one magic year as only utd city and chelsea spend enough money to have the right squad quality... Of course missing that key fact that Liverpool have spent more than us, they just bought shite so had to keep reinvesting. also it forgets that successful title winning teams don't buy lots of players but spend more on a few quality players to improve the team, without that constant flux, of course the team value is going to rise, it's natural, better players play more often and typically cost more (exception.... Andy Carroll).

I tell ta, rawkites would do a study of lottery jackpot winners and come out with the conclusion all winners were millionaires!! So don't expect to win if you aren't one!!!

The brain is the pain center reception, so technically you wouldn't feel any pain if your brain couldn't process it.

If you hurt your foot is the brain in your foot or in your head?

The foot is still in it's place, relax. And the same goes for the brain.
But the end of your nerves that notices the damage sends the signals through the nerve and up to the brain, which then makes the sensation a reality.

This really isn't that complex.
Now explaining how pain can be felt after a heart-transplant, from an injury after the transplant, to the heart, when the nerves are cut off from the rest of the body is however quite complex and not something any doctor have been able to tell me.

If only they would.

I looked back and I couldn't find the person who posted this originally but I know that someone here put up this video of Gerrard's defending versus Chelsea this season.

In half of those clips, he may as well have just stood still. Hell, in some of them it looks like he did. He'd be a revolving door at CB.

I think it's a great idea.

If you 2 don't stop and post some quotes or something, marukomu will kill you both. Are you trying to make him angry?!
He's always watching. :nervous:

Shut it dwarf.

There was a split second there where I didn't know what you meant.

Now that I know, bring it.

Stop it, you're going to annoy Maru.

Liverpool are the gift that keeps giving. They have to deal with this new scandal with one of their own again. I think that's why Brendan bought Balotelli. He wanted somebody controversial like Suarez, that could band the team together.
