RAWK Goes into Meltdown 2014/2015 - The "We go again" Edition

That's right up there in terms of karma with his comments on Spurs last season.

Something along the lines of Spurs being under pressure for spending 100 million but not challenging for the title.
He said a team that spends over 100 million on transfers should be challenging for the title.

No, we're not. All supporters do it.

RAWK is extremely delusional though. All fans are a bit delusional (redcafe posters too like we see a ot of times) but RAWK takes to extreme exagerating the quality of Liverpool players/signings.

 Why do they hate Chelsea so much? Oh wait

:)

It's somewhat odd when actually considering that they received £49 million from Liverpool, as well as big fees from us and Arsenal. Even though spending seems to become more bizarre by the year, there are many Championship clubs that still consider it a big success if they can get millions for one of their players. Southampton were in League One for the 2010-11 season, so to have come into the Premiership like they have and receive that kind of money for their players is incredible.

Even if Rodgers' words had any truth to them, Southampton would have been silly to turn down the kind of money being thrown at them. The fact that they're flourishing under Koeman makes it so much better.

Their mods need to get a grip. Gerrard is getting plenty of stick on the thread he shouldn't have.

I know it does, I just don't get why the a person would feel the need to do that.
They do it in the wild hope that they will end up on a gif somewhere and bring amusement to people. It's a grand aspiration if you ask me.

I'm still amused by how much they are going on about how much better they'll get when Sturridge returns. I hadn't realised he was going to play as a central defender and defensive midfielder as well as a centre forward.

On Lambert:

How in the world did we buy this guy? He's got to be the worst striker we've bought in a decade. I'd take Aspas before him.

On their new attacking force:

...we've seen our almost title winning attack dismantled, for Ricky Lambert and Mario Balotelli. It's absolutely devastating.

I find it bizarre that people in the stands make gestures to someone far away on the pitch.

It's like when you're sitting miles back In some upper tier, and some goon is screaming abuse.

That no one but you in front can hear.

It's a simple means of relief for halfwits, that's all.

What is this alternative league table i keep hearing about?

The 'alternative league table' is a concept thought up by Liverpool fans which shows the true measure of how well a club is doing. Statistics like 'number of times shots have hit the bar,' 'total blades of grass on pitch' and 'highest punt,' can be used. Amazingly Liverpool nearly always come out on top, or very near the top. It's much more accurate than the actual league table.

You realise redcafe has one too, right? It's their version of the storeytime table.

It's rawk's version of the redcafe storeytime table.

Except the storeytime table was invented by a Gunner, and strangely enough was designed to ensure Arsenal ended up top every season. Now, we just use it to take the piss.

I don't see people take the piss on here with it. Guess it doesnt take place in the actual thread or if it does, I just have not realised that every one is being sarcastic.

He is good enough to carry us.

Mario has missed a hell of a lot of chances. There's been a huge push recently to try and make Mario not the scapegoat, and it's valid to an extent - but make no mistake, Mario has had a hell of a lot of chances. With Daniel in the team, we would have got +2 against Everton, +3 against Villa, +2 against Hull, and you know what, I'd have backed us to get the three against West Ham (at 2-1 down) as well, with Daniel in the team. And maybe even more points against Chelsea/Newcastle, but you can't say really.

Mario has missed a hell of a lot of chances, and Sturridge would have put 75% of those sitters away at least. He's a supreme, thoroughbred goalscorer Daniel. He'll give us a massive, massive boost. As for papering over the cracks - 3 points are 3 points, and we desperately need 3 points. Sturridge is good enough to make everything else (our dire midfield, and awful CB partnership mainly) an irrelevance.

'Pop it in the back of the net and we'll discuss your options later'.

 All those made up goalscoring opportunities that Balotelli missed. They created feck all in all of those games.

The overrating of injured players is a truly Scouse idiosyncrasy. Joe Allen turned back into the Welsh Xavi there while he was injured.

In the same thread about 10 other people declare Sturridge a "word class player".

Sturridge is being elevated to a whole new level now that he's injured. I rememeber how the likes of Lucas and Agger were turned into world class players when they were injured. Sturridge is closer than them to be world class admittedly.

When Lucas got that knee injury just after an off season where he was already being hyped to ridiculous levels (coinciding with there being no actual football matches on) I was worried they'd manage to have him awarded the Ballon D'or.

Lucas before his injury was verging on world class. The injury fecked him. Agger of a few seasons ago probably was very close to world class too.
