RAWK Goes Into Meltdown | 2013/14

Surely you would rather suffer watching her die than let her suffer watching you die and then being alone for the rest of her life without you there to look after her

You would. In my opinion, at least.

This is RAWK in a nutshell, though. The Rafa obsession has reached a level where the apotheosis of his wife (!) seems natural enough. And, of course, as always they drag it in a positively morbid direction with reflections like the one above. They're like those freaks who...no, actually those freaks are like RAWK.

Can United make a bid for them?
Also, it will be interesting to see Liverpool supporters reaction of Liverpool is sold to a sugar daddy. They always hold the high morale and called Chelsea/City plastic club, renties etc. I'll bet that they will change 180 degree.

They'll believe that they are entitled to such investment due to being one of the established order. With their illustrious 'istree. All pretence of morality will go out of the window as quickly as Luis Suarez goes to ground. They would only be interested in how "boss" it is to see Liverpool competitive again.

They might deride us as "plastic", but we had been far more successful than them in the years leading up to Abramovich's purchase - domestically and in Europe.

Hammer Films present...Return of the Girlfriend Analogies:

It's like saying to your bird "listen I fancy this fit Spanish bird, & if I get the chance I'm off ok?"

Then your girl gets a new fella and the Spanish one is a no go, so you end up back with an old flame.

At this point you can't blame your ex for getting a new fella.

I told the Mrs last week that if Zooey Deschanel gave me a ring, I'd be up her like a rat up an aqueduct. However, I said that if she didn't, I'd be more than happy to renew our marriage vows. Unreasonable twat she is, she's started divorce proceedings and I'm sleeping on me ma's couch. Incredibly fecking disloyal of her to pack my bags and leave them on the front garden while I was sending pictures of my knob to Zooey on facebook. I expected better of her to be honest seeing as I've put up with her snoring for years.

Someone needs to let them know, ;) brings perspective to the more traditional: Fergie out!

Jesus - that's far out, as they say. I do hope they have, you know, misunderstood a wee bit: Like when you've learned a few phrases in a foreign language and realize, too late, that rather than saying a polite "no, thank you" to your host, you've actually told him to go finger his granny.

"We need a banner, lads, like those they have at Anfield, then we'll look like proper fans." And then it all went straight to the hell - while Fergie was out working.

I think they meant "Fergie Out, go to hell (Munich)", a bit sad really.

A question from a non-Liverpool fan put to the sane minds at RAWK in their 'David Moyes' thread. As usual, you get a totally unbiased riposte.

Quick question; how does Moyes, who actually has years of experience from the Premier League, suddenly end up as a laughing stock, and is being used as an argument for the soon-to-come downfall of Manchester United, differ from your own Brendan Rodgers, who's shown even less, and still 90 % of Liverpoolfans highly believe that he's going to put Liverpool back on top of the table?

What would your reaction have been, if Ferguson retired last year and Rodgers ended up getting the job? I'm hoping for at least a few serious answers, because it is actually something I've been a bit puzzled by lately.

Rodgers was and is something of an unknown quantity, but he has shown he can make average players play fantastic football.

The thing with Moyes is, we all know exactly what his style, approach and ethos is. He's a distinctly average manager who has used negative football to allow a team to punch above its level. You might as well have hired Tony Pulis.

Lunatics.

A post by a City fan in their David Moyes thread:

It's all about money I can assure you. Ferguson was told he would have to work with less money but would be incentivised to profit from transfers with a percentage of sales or profits. He didn't like that so he walked. Whether you believe me or not, that's what happened. So who better than Moyes to take his place? He'd have more money than he had at Everton but was someone who understood the value of a bargain signing. That suited the Glazers just fine. They're more concerned about paying off the rest of the bonds now so don't want someone who wants to (and can) attract expensive players. Third place will suit them just fine for the next three seasons. Then they'll probably repay the bonds and sell the club debt free. After that, it's not their problem.

On Costa;

would love him here. his way of winding everyone up could prove a good motivator for our team, and a good way to get in the heads of the opposition. wouldn't mind the cards he racks up, either, providing they aren't for silly things like diving; with this addition we would have plenty of cover in attack if he were to get suspended.

Rodgers is looking for characters, no? Can't think of a better player to get those on the pitch and in the stands fired up.

I don't watch Atletico play much so it's good to get a view from those who do. It's definitely an interesting shout. Never really looked at what he does provide before, but you read what PoP says and wonder. He fits into that 'multifunctional' mould, and he does it with goals too. The other part of it would be a really interesting judgement call for the manager and club. You may have a point about taking things too far - he'll always have that snide about him - but the writhing on the ground and the really nasty stuff can surely be taken out of his game without it taking the edge out of it? Think we may need a full shrink suite if we get too many in

Aha - another neat bit of proof for my theory that Rodgers has consulted Peters re: it being easier to tone down a competitive chimp than to tune up a timid one.
Brendan the man well known for being able to manage and tone down borderline personalities.
Not that it would ever happen, but imagine him AND Suarez in the same team. FA would have a field day!
Getting the excuses in early??

It's amazing how they all want him there although they know what kind of twat he is. But in the moment he gets deservedly banned for some of his antics, they will immediately start they against the world, media, xenophobia, referees, FA, UEFA, David Cameron, Sir Alex, United, David Moyes, Margaret Thatcher etc and refuse to believe that it is their player (and the club which supports these kind of things) that are in wrong, not the other part of the world. It took them 2 and a half year (and his public desire to leave) to realize what a twat Suarez is.

I was actually holidaying in Thailand last week when Liverpool came down to play the Thai team. There were plenty of Liverpool supporters, several of them wearing fake Gerrard 8 jerseys you can easily get at the roadside stalls or MBK. Not really surprised to see those kind of signs in Thailand, their hatred for us has becoming more than a football thing! Hope no idiots made any references about the 96 when United visited earlier.

Anyway Thailand is no longer a bargain paradise where everything used to be cheap. Shopkeepers and taxi drivers openly try to rip you off heavily seeing you're a tourist. Most of them are no longer interested in bargaining and will let you walk off without buying anything. I was told the Thais no longer view Caucasians as cash cows, rather it's the Japanese & Chinese mainlanders nowadays.

Ah, so it's finally happened. Rooney's gone from being an overrated, overweight average player, to the difference in quality between us and Liverpool.

It was always going to happen. Coutinhos transformation into their new superman is well under way as well;

Coutinho is a better player than Kagawa for me already. Well at least when it comes to this league.
This lad continues to amaze me. Suarez may be billed as our most creative player but he's not, Coutinho definitely is.
His vision and awareness in attack are simply products of world class ability in every technical facet of the game. He makes incisive passes just like Gerrard but he also puts defenders on their heels like Suarez.
The threat he possesses is indefensible which basically proven last season.

By the end of next season they'll have him crowned as the third best player in the world, no doubt. It's what they do. Then they'll start talking about he 'gets them' and loves the club, becoming incredibly attached to him in the process, and, ultimately, they'll end up heartbroken when he leaves in a year or two. It's beautifully simple really.

I'd love it if Coutinho played for United, to be fair. And considering they're shit, it's not surprising they're overly excited.

Coutinho is quality, an excellent player. Maybe some of the comments are a little over the top.
However, nothing wrong in getting excited seeing a real talent in your team, especially given the price the
club paid for him.
I would imagine there have been numerous similar comments on here about United players.

If he has a another good season and youse fail again to reach the CL. He will be gone

He is totally over hyped. Just like Sturridge. Still when you are coming into a club that has wasted tens of millions on Downing,Carroll etc etc its hard for Liverpool fans not to get excited over decent players. They could be the difference between 7th and 6th especially with Moyes gone from Everton.
