RAWK Goes Into Meltdown | 2013/14

Liverpool have employed Timmy from Rules of Engagement as their club doctor, it seems:

Well, LFC's Dr Zaf does look like Timmy, chief.

Whilst I can appreciate your point with regards to "name calling" (though I don't really agree with it) I can't see how it can be acceptable to take the piss of public characters just because they're famous but not other people? Seems massively hypocritical.

People like Rooney, Tevez etc grew up wanting to be footballers, not wanting to have the piss taken out of their looks. I don't see how you can seemingly take a high ground on non famous people but then when they happen to be celebrities we're allowed to say what we want. They are human beings as well. No different to that guy.

I also don't buy how people are saying "it's the internet" it's really not just that, it's the football culture in general and what people may deem as "banter" (I hate that word but that's what it is) it doesn't just happen between rivals it happens all the time in pubs and nights out etc, it may not be nice but a lot of the time there's no malice behind it. Fat people tend to know they're fat for example, a lot of them poke fun at it themselves. I think the outrage here is slightly OTT about a piss take of a stranger.

It is hypocritical - I agree with that. However, part of the ridiculous wages a footballer or any celebrity is that they are exposed to the public; their daily lives are basically on display for everyone. Therefore, it is slightly different, but point well taken.

Internet bullying is a real problem, and people seem to think they can say whatever they want on the Internet and it is OK. I'm far from being a saint as I've called Rooney Shrek a couple of times. When people say that I went overboard I usually put my hands up and apologize not tell the other guy to f*** off.

Everyone in this thread stop having fun at that guys offence - the one who has no idea about it and is probably happy living his life with out any idea of us.

I don't believe that I went overboard, hence me telling Mary Whitehouse to go f*ck herself.

Are you new here? Have you ever actually read threads? People, especially players, are subjected to personal abuse every single day. Including abuse about their looks. Where are you when people are posting these things? Talking to the posters responsible about morals?

Didn't think so.

Personal abuse is not tolerated on this forum, go and check the forum rules.

It is one thing to make fun off Liverpool, their players and fans in general. Making jests and fun off the delusionary crap they post on RAWK. It is another thing entirely to pick on a single individual for the way he looks. Players are subject to abuse, they are public figures that get paid a fortune for it, so making fun off them is as much part of football (as long as it stays within the boundaries of decency) as it supporting them and cheering them on. It is another thing entirely when we are talking about a specific supporters, especially one who has done nothing special to come into the media except a snapshot of his head on camera when he was at the game.

There have been pages off abuse on this guy, comparing his head with a garbage bin, calling him non-human, alot of pictures making fun off his head. The mods have said it was going way to far and that this forum is not a place for personal absue, this was not making fun of LFC or their global fanbase or their title slip anymore, this was outright personal assault and abuse on a guy (that did nothing to deserve it). That is just wrong, it stopped when the mods issued the warning, some people apoligized, why now start this shit again ?

That top looks really tight. Almost like a bird's bra top.
That fat feck probably wouldn't even get it over his head.

At most clubs, the medical photo involves the players being hooked up to some machine to measure heart rate and all that.
Apparently at Anfield, they just check whether you have a cold or not..

Thank god they didn't show the pics of the cough and drop test...

To be fair hes not gonna be playing much, its almost like his little reward for working so hard and being and old english striker. It has a similar feel as the Carrol signing except without the huge fee. Good for him, if I was in the twilight of my career haviing worked my way up and United offered me a place on the bench, feck it, id take it.

Also except that Lambert is actually a decent player.

I thought we'd done this to death - most people decided a few weeks ago it wasn't right to make fun of this guy - yet here it is again. Insult me all you like I still find it childish and pathetic. This is a thread about RAWK which is what I came onto it for - not about abusing people because of their looks.

Exactly. This thread is for mocking and abusing people because of what football team they support. Or do you think the people we laugh at in here aren't aware of this thread?

I suspect RAWK members are a damn sight more likely to see these posts than some anonymous turd at a football match.

I have to say, seeing it again, the guy with the delayed reaction cracks me up every time. No offense to the bloke

Comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable. A basic rule of comedy says that you don't punch down. Mocking George W Bush = fair game, mocking starving, poverty stricken children = unfair.

Piers Morgan is not a person too.

On Valencia's reaction to Sterling
i was half expecting Gerrard to just go over and destroy the little fecker.

How Sterling never Webbed that Jermain Jackson looking prick I don't know...

You mean this "little" guy??

What a horrid challenge. As if you'd square up to him though.
Was it Wilshere running in and giving it some yap?

He looks like the kind of twat who would yap large amounts of shite in the club and throw a punch over his biggest mates shoulder when he came to step in, then bolt for the exit and the safety of the bouncers once everyone turned on him. 'I didn't do nuffin cuz!'

That little feck could've broken his leg

I'd back Valencia against the whole England team never mind slippy G and little Sterling.

Wilshere is such a cnut.. then again, Brophs would like to sign him, isn't it?

Wilshire really does think he's incredibly hard doesn't he? He's such a dweeb

The World Cup is just around the corner and some 19 year old has recklessly come crashing into you during a non competitive match. No wonder Valencia was angry.

That's a really horrible challenge, especially considering this is just a friendly a week before the World Cup. What exactly was Sterling even thinking!

I don't think he intended to go above the ball. It's just one of those incidents that people will try and make a big deal out of. The reality is that it was a sloppy challenge, Valencia reacted because it came at him from behind and could have ruined his summer.

But it didn't, and they were both sent off. So we should just move on.

And someone should lamp Wilshere. The yapping terrier cnut.

Can't blame the two of them tbh. Sterling's 19, on the periphery of the first team at England, with the World Cup looming, and if I'm not wrong has not been given full matches these past couple of friendlies to try and force his way to prove himself. He's desperately trying to impress out there.

Valencia's had leg breaks before, and a challenge like that on him so close to the World Cup was bound to antagonize him. He did manage to calm himself down when that try hard Wilshere was yapping so credit to him there.

The ref was the real star though. I was impressed at the start of the video by how well maintained his slick hair was but the way he brandished those cards was brilliant.

I actually ended up hating Wilshere more than Sterling at the end of that clip.

Pretty sure Valencia would have broken both Sterling in half if they actually went at it. Jack would have fallen over on his glass ankle if Valencia breathed on him.
