RAWK Goes Into Meltdown (2012/2013)

What do you mean? It's a genuine question. LFC have an insanely large fanbase. I think this means that their support base has more conspiracy theory wackos in it then other clubs. And something like RAWK reflects that.

Utter rubbish, United have a bigger fan base, and no where on here will you read about, wanting to hurt players from other team, nowhere you will see a posting wanting players to die off aids or have bad injuries.
RAWK is a disgrace of a fan site, and if some of the stuff posted on there was said in public they would be arrested.

Ok whats the reason for some of the behaviour then?

United's fanbase is bigger, how many conspiracy wackos do you see around here? No, the culture of RAWK seems to promote anything that takes responsibility away from themselves being the reason for their lack of success. It's also run/moderated by people who discourage open debate and constructive criticism and threads are locked as soon as any such things take place, opting for more extreme blame something else views.

I seem to recall United had its share of whackos on another forum, might have been RedIssue if memory serves.

If you want to see nutters checkout Soccernet blogs and Fox Soccer blogs.

That has already been somewhat explained but kps88:

I'm sure every fan base has it's share of nutters. The beauty of RAWK is that it's somehow managed to assemble all those nutters in one place (mods included). So they're all together - encouraging each other, feeding off each other's paranoia. It really is a thing of beauty.

When you collect a group of people and cancel out anything you don't like to hear (by banning users, closing threads, deleting posts etc.) you'll eventually end up with a group that has either been completely brainwashed or shared your delusions to begin with. Add in years of being beneath United and you'll have a very volatile cocktail.

Is UTD's fanbase bigger? Probably worldwide but I'm not sure in the UK. I just don't get why that club in particular has so many fans that appear to be brainwashed, it's like they are members of a cult.

Of course not all them of the behave like this. Most are rational people. I say this as someone who knows a lot of them in Liverpool. They are all perfectly sound rational people, it's just their online fanbase.

Think the success thing plays its part.

If Redcafe existed in the 70s and 80s when your lot were winning everything, I'm pretty sure it would look like RAWK today.

RedIssue's definitely wackier than the Caf. There's also much more match going/northern posters there.

Its like that because there is virtually no moderation. They talk very little about football on it as well.

Interesting. Sounds like how the Republican party has completely blinded its supporting base to believe in a movement and has outcast both at political level and support level those that do not follow a far right ideology. This is going to be quoted in the US Presidential thread. Gracias!

Yeah. And if they do then it's mostly about the supporters' side of football: away games, taking the piss, etc.

Different community than the one here, I like it.

Liverpool Football Club itself is deluded. This SAF and United control the FA is actually believed by idiots within the club..not just RAWK.

That Shelvey cnut proved it by saying SAF grassed on him when he got sent off.

Personally I am glad...because while they look for excuses for their own failures, it ensures they remain in the wilderness.

In where we see the hilarity of the RAWK posting Liverpool fans..

Blue moon is much much much worse.

Let's stop the chat about Red Issue.

Official LFC forum:

1) Suarez NOT offside - played on by 2 DEFENDERS!

2) Hernandez offside - GOAL

3) Evans on yellow, takes out Torres - Torres booked and sent off for diving

We should be 2 points better off.......Everton should be 1 worse.............Utd Chelsea should have been 10 a-side at 2-2

3 LUDICROUS decisions have made a huge impact on the table - The officials involved should be punished

What????

I've had enough of this league. We should be on 13+ points by now, Utd have been given at least 10 free points by the refs so far already.

Evans has now made two two-footed lunges into tackles. Hasn;t been booked for either and the opponent (Shelvey/Torres) has ended up being sen off.

I wish we had so much luck like united, didn't watch the game but chelsea did look the better team.
:wenger:

:wenger: in what way?

Besides plech, i'd say RI is wittier, more fun, more down to earth, reflects our away support more....however the Caf is better in discussing general football topics/football on the continent.

Other than that, i'd back RI over here.

I'd say the liverpool equivalent of RI might be TLW or Rattle...definitely not Rawk.

Now Fredtissue is a bid odd, I would say.

That's exactly what I meant.

Wacky, adjective: Funny or amusing in a slightly odd or peculiar way.

Another forum called Koptalk (seems to be populated by non-UK based fans):

Why is this forum called Koptalk, why not just be done with it and call it View From the Stretford or something, it's just another Man United topic on a Liverpool forum, please dont anybody ever, ever say that our supporters are not obsessed and Paranoid with Manchester United, it's clear for all to see, we are not even rivals anymore.

I think it's the time for us fans to do something about it.... the lines man was against us from the beginning.... horrible refereeing against us....

yes march on FA headquarters, when weather is more clement

quite happy with a point myself, thought it was always going to be a difficult game, we aquitted ourselves quite well at times and overall a point is a fair result for me, gives us something to build on.

And we are holding our mid table position quite nicely.

Hahaha. These are semi-sensible Liverpool fans.

Looking at that you can see the reason why Torres ends up with a yellow. Except for not throwing his arms up in the air, most of the falling motion is classic give, especially the fact that if Evans got a piece of him it would be on Torres' right foot, but we see him act like his left leg got clipped.

He definitely went over very easily. And dramatically as usual

Not even sure thats funny, more worry about the persons mental condition.

These conspiracy idiots forget 8 important things.

1995, 1998, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2010 and 2012.

Presumably the dark forces which fix the title for us messed up during those years?

Mental illness can't be ruled out.

I know a Liverpool fan who fanatically believes all that stuff and quotes it as gospel, as if it "proves" that United get favourable treatment.
