Get someone in with a track record of doing something rather than talking bollocks like the current manager.
Been following this team for 40 years and this guy is a fecking bullshit artist.

Really hope they don't turn on David Brent. Imagine how good the future series of being liverpool would be if they keep going on like this. By series five it would just be Rodgers sitting in the groundsmans shed with his head in his hands crying. Quality television that would be.

a day late, but like motherfecking clockwork.

Change title challenge to 'fourth place challenge' and it's dead accurate. Although according to Rodgers second is up for grabs.

feck your philosophy Brendan, just feck it.
This tiki-taka bullshit isn't taking us anywhere.
season well and truely over.
The owners are trying to rebuild a Michelin starred restaurant, but instead of enduring the French philosophy of buying the very best of ingredients - they are relying on cheap cuts from Costco and Aldi. As opposed to hiring Marcus Waring or even Jason Atherton - they decide to hire the local Wimpy manager.

When the food is shit - there are generally two reasons, quality of ingredients is shit or the cook is shit - but the majority of time its down to both. A good chef can make the most out of cheap cuts but they aint winning no stars or AA rosettes.
We've only amassed 43 points from the last 38 league games.
We've been an average mid-table club for a good few years now. Learn to accept that fact and deal with it.
We cant even TICK, how can we TAKA?

we can still finish 2nd, la... YAWN

On SSN they were talking about Downing being the second coming today after his goal against Fulham last week. 'He has over 30 England caps'!!! Heskey probably has more...

Two Liverpool fans phoned in via Skype at the Premier League Talk Show they broadcast on Abu Dhabi, with Leroy Rosenior and the like. They went on about how Shelvey is just an average midfielder, he will never be the second coming of Steven Gerrard, just criticizing Shelvey over and over again, the guys in the studio agreed.

Then, the second Liverpool fan says "I'll tell you what though, I can't believe how we concede this much, we have the best defense in the league". "Enrique is a Spanish International, and don't tell me he doesn't do enough defensively, Jordi Alba, who plays for Barcelona, gets caught out defensively as well. Agger and Skrtel are the best Center Backs in the League, and Johnson is also the best right back in the league."

The guys in the studio were almost going to laugh hysterically, all of them tried to point out at once that they are so far away from having the best defense in the league that they're making fools of themselves. The fans kept trying to make their point and the producer (?) just cut off their feed and went to another saner Liverpool fan.

I really hope they turn on Rodgers. Given time I think he'll turn them into a good side.

I think he won't. He did a good job at Swansea but it was a completely different kettle, at Liverpool he'll have to identify good and very good players who won't mind joining a side that isn't in Champions League and that's not an easy job. At Swansea he just had to pack the side with average players with ambition who were capable of playing beyond their normal level - tough but easier than this.

No manager in the world would be an instant success with them though. They have a very thin squad with only a handful of good players. Reina, Johnson, Agger, Skrtel, Lucas, Allen, Sterling, Gerrard and Suarez are all decent/good but beyond that their team is a pretty poor one. The likes of Downing, Enrique and Borini used to be decent but I've not seen them impress for Liverpool lately.

Shelvey is this years Jay Spearing, he shouldn't be anywhere near the first team at this point. They do have some good youngsters but they are simply not ready.

It should be remembered that Rodgers didn't build anything at Swansea, indeed his attempts at building aside at Reading were atrocious and got him sacked. No doubt he did an excellent job at Swansea but he didn't have to implement any style of play, just fine tune it. It was really a case of standing on the shoulders of giants. Their performance in the premier league was no mean feat and deserves huge praise, but there was nothing about his job at Swansea that ever suggested he was capable of going to a club and building them up from scratch as Liverpool want him to do.

I mean with resources Liverpool have at their disposal, and players, Europe should be a worst case scenario. There is no way a team with some of the players they have at their disposal should be in a mid-table position. Of course, big name club means some players do get overated (Skrtel for one seems to get done an awful lot for a supposedly top centre back) but there's no doubting their players should be doing comfortably better than our's (West Brom) for example.

Makes it even more ridiculious all his speeches about "you're a quality team, well done, with mentality we're gonna win matches" in the cringe worthy "being liverpool" program.
It makes a mockery of their entire club, Rodgers acting like some sort football *********** :wenger::lol:

My bad Sixpence ;).
I couldn't stop laughing while this program was on my TV.Rodgers was talking about winning games, success as if he's been there his entire career and done that. That was pathetic

West Brom are not a better side than Liverpool.

What's the old maxim...."the table never lies"? In individual positions, I'd agree with you, but working/playing as a team I disagree with you. And this IS a team sport, until Liverpool can do that, then no, they are not better than West Brom IMO.

How many "top 4" players do Liverpool have? Their squad is filled with overrated dross. Criticise a Liverpool player and their fans will tell you how wrong you are. Eg Johnson is class,So is Agger,Lucas,Allen,Enrique etc. But the fact of the matter is the players arent good enough(bar maybe 3 max). That's why they have finished 6th,7th,8th the last three seasons. All the players who made them a top four side are long gone or past it like Gerrard.

The 200 mil they have spent since 2009 has all been wasted bar Suarez.

''We've only amassed 43 points from the last 38 league games.''

Jesus how terrible is that. I know their shite but that's getting close to relegation form.

Yeah, that's the maxim but it's bollocks isn't it? At times the League table is no more reliable than a head to head match - City didn't magically become better than us when Aguero scored against QPR whereas if Kenny had saved the shot they would have been worse. The League's not entirely reliable, and when you get to absurdities like West Brom being above Liverpool you should abandon maxims like that.

Would you like to have a bet with me on who finishes higher between those two teams?

I despise the rat-faced cnut but Suarez is their only truly decent player. My point was, that in terms of individuals, a lot of their players would be an upgrade 1:1 for West Brom. I never said they were top 4 ;)

Fair enough.

The maxim bit was tongue in cheek (this is the RAWK thread afterall), but read the rest of the post.

As for betting, it's a mugs game. I spent 7 days in Vegas in November and gambled a whole $10 in that time, and that was to get free beer

Both the table and their head to head record suggest that WBA are in fact better than Liverpool.

What other method would you use?

Actually watching the teams play and using my judgement. Would you like to take a £20 bet that Liverpool finish higher?
