RAWK Goes Into Meltdown (2011/2012)

You can't accuse them of not wearing their heart on their sleeve. Some cracking gems though.

Auto correct on RAWK...they refuse to call him SIR

Why have they got such a problem with calling him sir though, loads of other footballing men have knighthoods. Fergie's been at the very top level being successful for 25 years, of course he's going to have a knighthood. It's not really a big deal.

Coz Shankly, Paisley, Fagan, Souness and Dalglish haven't got it.

Rafa's site is a goldmine!

No wonder he's a RAWK God -- his own staff can manage to rival the worst purple prose RAWK has to offer.
Just listen to Xavi Valero, goalkeeping coach, Rafa Benitez staff:

Amidst this whirlpool, amongst so many people, reaching Anfield is to reach one of the possible ends of the road. I say this because I feel fortunate to have been one of the chosen ones. One of those who have stepped on the pitch at Anfield, one who has lived Anfield, one who has experienced in person that football has a dimension greater than the banality that current times offer us. One that has been able to see that Albert Camus was right in saying that stadiums are a melting pot of culture and that in them, like in no other place, we can learn about human nature. Just looking round Anfield you can appreciate the dignity of its people

I dunno...I hope I'm wrong but I suspect that Rafa is kinda hoping that Dalglish will fail.

I love the way whilst they were watching us, they mistook us singing "Are you Arsenal in disguise?" for "Are you watching Merseyside?", and we're the obsessed ones.

Never!

Rafa is patiently biding his time in the wilderness, his beautiful green eyes tearful but defiant, until Kenny Dalglish -- King of Kings and Lord of Lords; Exuberance Made Flesh; Humble Harbinger of Honour Returning to Anfield -- will make him his rightful successor on the hallowed turf where once Stubbins scored the diving header in the snow.

"[O]ne of the chosen ones [...] One that has been able to see that Albert Camus was right..."

That's what they thought was being chanted?!

Feckin idiots, it happened at two other league games on the same day as well.

It doesn't even make sense, who gives a feck what Merseyside are watching?

Methinks you doth protest too much, Sir/Lady Waltraute! Are you Rafa in disguise? :D :D

Very suspicious these so-called 'Rafa Benitez staff' employees that he keeps referencing. I surmise that they are in fact either:

(a) Rafa himself, or different facets of his multiple personality
(b) RAWK posters 'employed' to spread the cult of Rafa forth using the internet as a medium

Yes!

After successfully trolling the Scousers I'm just relaxing and enjoying life, apart from sometimes pretending to be a goalkeeping coach waffling about Camus and being a chosen one. And being Waltraute on the Caf, of course.
What can I say, I just love trolling!

-- Love, Rafa ;)

I knew it! That time you selflessly took on the dreaded owners by accepting a five million-quid pay-off gave the game away! Of course, it was 'for the fans, no?'

Wait until he becomes a lord. Moves are under way.

I actually think that Paisley should ave been honoured in some way but by the time he retired, Thatcher was in power and there was no way she would knight a scouser. say what you like about Liverpool, but Paisley is up there with the greats.

Why do they all say 'Mr Ferguson'? Never had them down as a polite bunch.

Mr. is an incorrect form of address for someone with a Knighthood, it should be Sir Alex or Sir Alexander. They are aping Benitez's facts rant, not sure if he was using to be disrespectful or if he's just unaware of the naming customs here.

Shankly and Paisley both deserved to be honoured. Fagan was brilliant too.
Dalglish's certaily up there.

I do agree that it's ridiculous they (and especially Paisley - his European Cup record!) didn't get the honours they deserved, but it's still petty side-eyeing Sir Alex's honours. Meeesterrr Ferguson, how droll.

He knew exactly what he was doing; by emphasising 'MR' in that infamous and fateful interview. Its a public show of disrespect and the Dippers loved it.

Paisley and Shankly sure.

Dalglish???

give it a break.

Of course it's not Ah! Injustice! the same way I can agree with the Scousers about Paisley and Shankly. I still think it's reasonable though (and now I'm mostly thinking about his playing carreer for club & country), and have you seen the people being given honours lately?

Be that as it may, my point was simply that even though they may have a point ('Paisley wasn't knighted! Unfair!'), going around auto-correcting Sir Alex to Mr Ferguson (as per Rafa-rant) is still petty.

And I can't help but think few cares more about honours than 'sword of Truth, armour of Justice, numinous realm of Anfield' Scousers.

Agreed. I wasn't taking into account Dalglish's playing career, which was exceptional. Dunno about Shankly though. A great manager for sure but it was Paisley who lifted three European Cups.

All this Mr. Ferguson stuff is puerile. I know quite a few scousers and I haven't heard one of them say that Fergie didn't deserve his knighthood. They may not care for him too much, but they won't deny that he's one of the greatest manager Britain has ever produced.

The Liverpool fans I meet in real life are not insane like the cretins on RAWK. The mods on that site basically weed out anyone with any sense and let the nut jobs run free.

To be honest if you look at the end of their matchday thread there's several pages about how good we are to watch, how it might be SAF's best team, and how we're going to walk the league.

It's more magnanimous than this place would be in their position.

Come on now Plech, do you really believe that? About half the posts from them whilst they're watching our games are about how it's obviously fixed.
