RAWK Goes Into Meltdown (2011/2012)

Seriously what is the point of a forum if they are gonna lock all the threads?

Even the Bosmans cost them a lot.
Jovanovic was on 120k a week for the first year... 70k+signing on fee spread over the first year. Disaster

How the hell does a decent player from Belgium, one that has done nothing of note in his career, come across and earn himself £120k a week?

Just seen Andy@Allerton's signature

Fourth has gone. We can just chill out, enjoy the football and relax. We have won a pot. We have a chance at a second. We are guaranteed Europe. All in all a decent season. One to build on.

Should probably change that to 7th has gone

They have had more builds then Wimpy and Barratts put together

Alright guys, which one of you is Redline over on RAWK :D

He's like a parody of Andy Allerton except he randomly bolds words in his sentences. There appears to be absolutely no reason for it.

Why Bother El Denzel? We All know Arsenal Will win somehow & if they look like Not doing so? They'll get a helpful ahem 'Nudge' from the officials somewhere along the line - Mark my words..........

Come on confess who is it?

the goal that that my commentator insisted Given saved when the ball was already behind the line...:lol:

Tbf when they showed the replay on MOTD it did look mighty close but the kind of one you could watch 10 times and still not be sure about.

Oh right. So City getting given 3 points at home to Spurs when Balotelli should've been off the pitch, but stayed on and scored a last minute winner - did United benefit from that?

Or when City got a penalty at home to Chelsea for next to nothing - did they benefit from that?

Chelsea had two players offside when they scored yesterday, and went on to win. Wigan may go down because of it.

What about when Newcastle got a penalty that never was at United and they got a draw - what happened there?

Arsenal have had at least 2 wrongly given penalties this season.

We've had penalties that weren't ever penalties - every team gets decisions ffs - this 'conspiracy' rubbish is why we get laughed at by other fans. Time to wake up and realise that you don't win titles by luck or 'bribing officials'. Grow up ffs.

My cousin is convinced that English referees are intimidated by their stadium capacity and have been for years. European ref's don't give a shit.

Feasible I suppose.
.....

Well, if his cousin said it, it must be true!

My brother's Liverpool supporting friend says " Mancini purposely kept Balotelli on even if he was surely going to get sent off"

FFS!!!

To be fair to them, you would expect the number of fans to influence the referee to some extent.

Their fault for not sorting their stadium out, it's not like they lack support.

That said, I'm sure any effect is more than canceled out by the 'United Cup Final' effect, whereby every team wants to beat us more than anyone else, and we have about eight 'rivals'.

I can see the logic in it. It's the same general ball park as players finding playing for a bigger club intimidating.

Exactly Andy mate - every single year the media actively WILL them into winning the title by repeatedly stating that they have the momentum over their rivals. We've seen the effect of positive and negative media spin this season more than most - it has the nation convinced that Suarez is a racist, which was clearly the aim when Evra manufactured his allegations. Perception is everything.

How are they going to invent a 20th league win for themselves? The 19th was a stretch...

A theory somewhat undermined by the fact that we have one of the quietest sets of home fans in the league though. Numbers, yes, but there are more intimidating places to go than Old Trafford.

True :(
