RAWK Goes Into Meltdown (2011/2012)

Yep. They only have the FA cup to play for. Its like the time under Benitez when Jose complained they werent challenging for the title and could rest players for the CL games.. only at a much lower level...

Oh those glory days of finishing in the top 4

So after 27 games they are 25 points off United and 19 points from last place. Ouch.

And they have the worst shot conversion percentage in the division.

Keep King Kenny.

And they boast this record in what they'll tell you is a shit Premiership this season.

I tricked a scouser doing this the other day, was talking about how well we were doing considering our injuries, obviously his remark was that it was only because everyone else was shit. It's fun playing with Liverpool supporters brains, you can see their brains melt

The Carling Cup has been a real springboard for them, unfortunately to new depths of embarrassing mediocrity....

To be fair they have a point. The whole idea of deciding games by goals scored is already outdated and should have been reconsidered long time ago. It doesn't give footballers enough incentive to play good aesthetic football. Liverpool play good football and should be given extra points.

tbh i could understand their grievance when they brought up the woodwork issues. They hit the woodwork a record number of times in one season (yeah that some months ago). their claim that "if these shots had gone in we would be better off point-wise" blah blah yes, it holds water.

But feck me, possessions? number of shots?

I liked the way on Match of the Day last night the game and the result was almost completely ignored, but I can understand why they wouldn't want to scrutinise shit on a stick for too long.

Has anyone had a go at Damien Commoli yet? As a DoF he is in charge of sanctioning signings at least and bar Enrique alll the other signings have been catastrophic flops or lead to major PR disasters which has not been worth the hassle.

From his wiki page

On 3 November 2010 his appointment as Director of Football Strategy at Liverpool was announced, with part of his remit being to oversee the recruitment of new players to the club.[13] Comolli made an instant impact at Liverpool as he was responsible for the signings of two players, Luis Suárez and Andy Carroll, on January 2011's transfer deadline day, with Carroll's signing breaking the record for most expensive British player ever and 8th most expensive player in history, overtaking David Villa and Wayne Rooney.

In the summer transfer window for the 2011/12 season Comolli has helped Liverpool FC sign Jordan Henderson, Charlie Adam, Stewart Downing, Doni, José Enrique, Sebastián Coates and Craig Bellamy.

That makes a lot of sense when you think about it..

Consider this: The goal is 7.32m by 2.44m, giving it an area of 17.9 square metres. The posts are 12cm in diameter, meaning that the total area of the frame is (0.12*2.44 + 0.12*7.32 + 0.12*2.44) 1.46 square metres. That means that it is about 12(!) times harder to hit the woodwork than the net. Why should teams be punished for hitting something that's 12 times as hard as scoring a goal? Liverpool should get more goals for hitting the woodwork IMO, which would definitely make them the best team in the country.. Long live King Kenny!!

Manchester United win another league. Ah well. Just up to us to try and get a decent set of results next season.

He made the exact same post last year. And the year before. And the year before that.

Liverpool have scored the joint 13th lowest amount of goals scored this season. 30 goals in 27 games at an average of 1.1111111 gpg in the league. This after spending over 100 million on attacking players and a free transferred Craig Bellamy.

Everton who by the way are absolutely skint and have a net spend in the plus figures, and shipped out their best striker in January, have scored at 1.03gpg in the league

100 million well spent

Half of them hate us and the other half admire us. The worst United side in years, the worst prem ever, Bilbao twatting us, dumped out of an easy CL group, a geriatric midfield, the Glazers sucking the cash out of OT, City spending squillions and falling apart...it's just too much for their little brains to handle

And: 'feck off football!'

Without Bellamy they might be in the bottom 5.

Suarez:

World Class.

Hodgson looking absolutely delighted with the loss when He shook Fergusons hand then. You'd think he'd won the league himself with how made up he looked.

I honestly can't remember seeing a manager more absolutely delighted with a loss than Hodgson was there. He looked absolutely made up.

Whats the chances Hodgson is currently bent over in Ferguson's office with his trousers around his ankles?

Until whiskey nose retires it will always be the same with these cheating twats.

I'm hoping Thatcher and Ferguson go in the same year. Massive fecking party planned.

bitter and vile

I lover their logic. Top of the league only beacuse we cheat and pay out to every club/manager/referee. If it is that easy why dont they just pull together the 50 quid the fans have between them and bribe someone?
