Liverpool has the most deluded fan base I've ever seen in the history of football. They have been wandering around for 28 years saying "next year is our year" I've got a childhood friend who is a Real Madrid fan, his dads a lifetime Liverpool fan, I met his dad couple days ago and he said Liverpool would win 3-0. It's quite funny listening to them actually. If you have ever met one irl you know what I'm talking about, they are always so cocky and smug.

haven't posted 4k yet
Here's a little sneak peek of worried pool fans in 4k

I think this is part of the issue on this forum. They have never met a Liverpool fan as they are not UK based . They don't get the rivalry and don't understand how insufferable they can be.

I respect them as a club, despite regular PR disasters, but their fanbase is so self righteous it's untrue.

Liverpool fans are truly bizarre.

I was with one last night for the match, just as they were about to kick off, with no context, he flung himself into a Gerrard vs Scholes debate, talking about Scholes and his lack of individual honours, the fact that Gerrard got selected more often for England, it was like he had written it down and memorized it earlier that day. His team have just kicked off in a CL final.

He also said Gerrard is the best leader ever, said that Alonso/Mascherano/Gerrard were better than Pep's Barca midfield and then couldn't explain how the best ever leader couldn't inspire the best ever midfield to Premier League Glory. At this point the CL final has been on 10 minutes and Liverpool are looking sharp.

I just don't understand them. They live for these debates. It's almost as if it didn't matter to him what happened in that final because either way he was going to twist it into an argument about how great Liverpool are.

I've met many Liverpool fans and they're all generally like this. I seriously can't understand it.

Every dipper ive ever met has been an arrogant git. I worked a night shift last night with a couple and the outrage and confusion on their faces was priceless, they so expected to win I didnt really have to say anything . Wonderful night.

So pleased with that result. I was dreading them winning, and felt they had a good chance of winning. Thank Christ for Karius!

Next season, laaa.

On a serious note though, next season with Keita, Fekir, a new GK and a new CB, they'll be title contenders.

I like how They're still entitled to claim themselves as an European "royalty" or European "elite", despite being average for 20 years+.

I thought only resident RAWK think of it that way but my coworker also said the same thing before the final. So I guess They really are depending on the "5 times" to be able to boast and/or to save face. Understandable because the last time They won something, it was 6 years+ ago and that was a fecking Carling Cup against Cardiff City.

And now Their manager is Klopp who has a bad record in finals. Sensible appointment to keep the club's tradition alive.

@Dumbstar was saying something about royalty yesterday.

Real Madrid: 13 CL trophies
AC Milan: 6 CL trophies
Liverpool, Bayern: 5 CL trophies

Edit: reached 3 CL finals in the last 13 years. Surely only royalty get that level of access?

Sure sure you're royalty. I don't know if anyone except Liverpool fans think that but carry on.

Win it five times then maybe we'll grant you an audience to discuss the finer points. :p

They are royalty. They're the illegitimate offspring from the affair with the butler.

All the Liverpool fans I've met in real life have been stand up, nice guys without a bad bone in their body.
As soon as the conversation turns to football they just turn into proper mard arses. Guy at my old school used to go around sticking 'JFT96' stickers on the school walls, lockers and people's bags and stuff. When people told him to stop messing with their shit he'd just lose it and report everyone to the teacher.

In fairness to the man, this is very likeable. He's trying to keep the fans upbeat and optimistic about the positives from their campaign and it'll help him going into next season.

There's a lot I don't rate about Klopp (such as his lack of tactics in big games and some hypocrisy in match interviews) but I actually respect what he's done there.

He is a PR machine just a shite manager

Shite is probably too far (because what he did with Dortmund was for the most part, bloody brilliant).

But yeah on the PR side he's undoubtedly very good. He has the media, pundits and fans lapping it up and it gives him a lot of protection. That's why I think he's done well in that video, he knows what he's doing.
