Osimhen? Lautaro? Even Neymar
Can't afford Osimhen but would take Martinez, suspect Neymar would only happen if Jassim ever wrestled control of this race away from Ratcliffe

Apart from he’s lightening quick compared with Berba
Really like him, and for the quoted price it's a no brainer.
Comparisons with Haaland are daft though - I've only watched his highlights/a game for the national team, but he gives me Berbatov vibes with his hold up play, running style and finishing. One of my favourite Utd players, would love the regen!
Hmmm I am not the most keen on player comparisons, especially with such a young and unfinished player, a complete mismatch for Berbatov, been trying to think of a striker that used their strength like he does, and drawing blanks, thought RVN, Shearer but not reallyI have tried to find a comparable player and couldn't find anything better than a fast and young version of Giroud. Berbatov was an elite technician and I don't think that Hojlund is close to that.
He reminds me a bit of a young Lewandowski at Lech Poznan actually, their spacial awareness and positioning in the box is great but their shots aren't necessary always the cleanest/best just yet. Not to say he will become anything like him of course, I think his physical attributes and hold up play will lead him down a bit of a different pathHmmm I am not the most keen on player comparisons, especially with such a young and unfinished player, a complete mismatch for Berbatov, been trying to think of a striker that used their strength like he does, and drawing blanks, thought RVN, Shearer but not really

Fast Giroud sounds great to be honest. How tall is this lad?
Always find it funny when someone says two players are similar then lists about 3 different things that separates themI was thinking about Giroud as well. Definitely faster and more explosive but not as good in the air (at this point at least) and not quite the same technical ability. Giroud was legitimately a top-level technical player. Hojlund's touch and technique is good for a big holdup striker but if he was 5'9 with the same technical level it wouldn't stand out at all.

Fair play. It was sort of a "Hmnnn...maybe Giroud is a good comparison, oh I guess not in the end" kind of thought process.

Obligatory new Scout Nation YouTube video
Also a a video of his highlights in his last Denmark match where he scored a hattrick, the highlights perfectly demonstrate what he can bring to the team but also highlights the areas where he still is a little raw and needs a little patience
That's a good comparison actually, I imagine he'll get more clinical as he progresses, and he has the advantage of being much taller than Tevez too and comes across as even more of a physical specimenHe gets compared to Haaland but his movement, energy and way of using his body really reminds me of Tevez.
Might be less clinical than Tevez, and with a little more vision. (Which rarely is a thing you can train your way to).
This doesn't seem to be close at all, like all of the other links to other players.
This is still closer than Harry Kane. The big thing for United is bringing in an established striker first and foremost. Until United can progress on one established striker, don't expect us to push for Højlund at this time.Would be bitterly disappointed if we don’t sign him this summer
I don’t imagine we’ll get an established one and a younger one. Don’t see why Hojlund would agree to join to just be a bench option when he’s leading the line at Atalanta and will progress and probably be picked up by another big club in a season or two, if not nowThis is still closer than Harry Kane. Ten Hag's talked a bunch about wanting more quality depth in his team, so he wants a 2nd forward who can potentially deliver now (even if not consistently) whilst succeeding the established striker in a few years. Either that, or the young striker will come in for regular minutes whilst Rashford continues to take on the goalscoring burden (either up front or on the left wing).I don’t imagine we’ll get an established one and a younger one. I think by established, that means experienced. I see if we're going to go for Hojlund, we'll go for a Choupo Mouting or the like.I don’t imagine we’ll get an established one and a younger one. Thinking about, monitoring, considering fc
Why is it nonsensical? Who says we’re even interested in Ferguson. You can’t honestly suggest we skip this guy and potentially Kane on the whim of signing an 18 year old next season with 20 current professional matches under his belt who has a contract until like 2027/28 ?If we are serious about Ferguson next summer, we get this guy, see how good he does whole Martial is on the treatment table, as hell inevitably will be for most of the season, and then calibrate his and Ferguson's expectation next summer.
Getting Kane and this guy would surely mean we miss out on Ferguson and that's nonsensical.
I think there's been some good info on us being interested in Ferguson and it makes complete sense. If we've given up on him, Hojlund and Kane make sense to me.Why is it nonsensical? Get Neymar in on loan for the left wing (alternating with Garnacho / Sancho). It wouldn't surprise me if we end up starting next season as Rashford as our 9 with Hojlund as his back up. With the sums mentioned for Kane and Oshimen, they don't see likely to happen.
Sorry but I saw you post like this on another thread and it's not only a terrible idea all round but completely unrealistic too.Get Neymar in on loan for the left wing (alternating with Garnacho / Sancho).
Rashford and Hojlund sharing the CF position, and I would add Leonardo in to the mix (selling Martial).
The two naughty boys on the right. Sell Elanga, Amad and Pellistri while we still might make a profit on them.
Next year get Kane on a free and move Rashford back to the left.
In about three/four years time, bring in Ferguson (if his trajectory continues) to replace Kane.
That would be be a fantastic lineup with lots of options.
