I’m not. I’m just refuting your point that ‘it would never have happened under Ferguson’. You just keep making up new arguments. You forgot -- Onana is a drug cheat. I dont see you saying that we shouldn't buy him in that thread?

With the best will in the world. I have no idea how you can argue that a player who has effectively been suspended pending investigations for 18 months, has been widely condemned by even united fans let alone those of other clubs, lost sponsors and severely tainted his image, not to mention having his private affairs aired in public where the kangaroo court have hung, drawn and quartered him for something that the police have declined to prosecute, and therefore he hasn't been found guilty of ANYTHING.
I think it's safe to say that his life has changed considerably, probably forever. Regardless of what he does or who he plays for in the future.
But anyway that fella Hoijland is hopefully ready to fill the void.
This post is crazy and almost seems to paint the alleged aggressor as some kind of victim. Yes, footballers are under a lot of scrutiny, but they are also in an incredibly privileged position. None of what you said is in anyway, shape, or form, relevant to the discussion about what Greenwood may or may not have done.
Any type of violence, whether it's physical or mental within a relationship in so insane and I don't understand how anyone can ever be apologetic towards people who have abused their significant other is all kinds of fricked.
Domestic violence and toxic relationship culture within the ages is something most countries put in insane effort to move away from - it's not private matter, it's not even cultural matter, it's a matter of society and how we want it to be for generations in the future.
Maybe off topic but…Your posts on this last page are absolutely horrible.
The club "failed" a domestic abuser, and anything is "Ok" when it's a private matter, and no-one else gets to have an opinion on it.
Then you label Onana a "drug's cheat", which suggests to me you've either read nothing about the case, or are being very obtuse.
Maybe off topic but…
Two of the most famous humans ever lived would never survived as young adults in todays age and social media climate where everything is judged so black and white.
As a new leader of a broken and wounded nation Nelson Mandela used all his power and wisdom to forgive and include.
Muhammad Ali had experienced violence, racism, exclusion and all sorts of injustices to an extend that few of us can understand. Despite all the hate he the preached tolerance and compassion when he got older.
Two extraordinary human beings who had walked thru all phases of life and still had love and compassion to forgive their past. The testament of what true leaders can achieve when getting a second chance.
My grandmother once told me that the secret to find harmony in life is to love, forgive and forget. A 85 year old women born when women couldn’t vote or own property. In an age where sexual and economical violence was part of many women’s life.
I always has her words in my heart to guidance me whenever I’m unsure what’s right or wrong.
Wrongdoings come with consequences and punishments but after that a second chance is the only way forward.
What’s the alternative?
I honestly respect people who just say 'i dont care what footballers do/ have done. It's a corrupt system and I just want to take joy from united doing well every week'.
I personally wouldn't get joy from watching greenwood bang them in if there isn't a significant statement or some form of explanation/apology/admittance of some form of guilt. Even then I'd struggle, but at least the above take is the honest truth of the matter.
Well, wouldn't you watch and cheer if Amber Heard strips naked in front of you?
It's an eye opener to say the least. The things people will say simply because they want to see a young lad kick a ball around for the team they support.
I don't believe that's what her job is pal.
I swear all three of our transfers so far have been carbon copies of each other!

Somehow even MLK and Muhammad Ali have been dragged into it too now absolutely crazyThe things people will say simply because they want to see a young lad kick a ball around for the team they support.
Kinda sounds like you don't care about what's clearly audible on the recording - regardless of who released it - because he can kick ball good, and for United. As far as was aware it wasn’t her who released the audio but someone else without her permission.
But that’s all beside the point. I don’t have to explain what ‘in my view’ is happening because thankfully we live in a world where people aren’t convicted of crimes based on my or your viewpoint based on a recording.
We have a legal system that decides that even though some of you clearly would love to dish out your own forms of vigilante justice.
I think I’m probably gonna tap out here personally because the thread has been derailed enough. I don’t know what the club will do, it’s a tough and clearly emotive issue. I only hope the people who make that decision don’t crucify him more than he already has been.
And that is a huge injustice?
So what do you think the recordings and transcripts show? Are they fake, or made up, exaggerated, role play? Not sexual abuse and rape?
Again you are categorically wrong on the bolded. The police on the evidence they had DECIDED to charge. The CPS on that same evidence DECIDED to prosecute. Both believing the evidence stood a strong chance of securing a prosection.
Key witnesses withdrawing complaint will cause many cases to fall apart, from murder and rape to assaults and thefts, simply the way it is. Not being able to proceed does not mean innocence, does not explain away the other evidence and makes not a blind bit of difference to anyone having an opinion on MGs behaviour.
It simply means without the victim there to stand over their evidence in court, a fair trial can't happen and the matter is finished.
All of that is to do with criminal convictions though which I am not talking about at all.
Please explain, in your view, what is happening In the recordings to me and why a young woman would a) make the recording b) release it c) engage with police/CPS for a year or whatever it was before withdrawal.

Smalling is a fantastic defender. He's just awful on the ball.Apparently he said the toughest defender he’s faced is Smalling. Gonna struggle in this league then…
There’s better in this league though.Smalling is a fantastic defender. He's just awful on the ball.
I think some of you are blinded by new shiny toys as always.
This kid is 20. Scored 5 goals at Copenhagen, 12 in the Austrian league and 10 last year at Atalanta. If you're expecting much from him to begin with you will be severely let down. This is a developmental signing, just happens to be an expensive one.
It's no different to the Chelsea fans who thought Datro Fofana would be ready to lead the line for them and now he's on loan. Hojlund is very much going to be a slow burner if he joins.
I think the club is pretty aware they are signing him a year or two earlier than would like which explains the reports of wanting to sign a young and experienced player.
Being physical isn't all there is to it. Lukaku and Nunez still struggled upon their moves to the PL despite very impressive strength and speed.
We are taking a gamble on his potential. If he's a hit then we would've saved ourselves millions by signing him earlier. There is the downside however which is buying him too soon and it messing up his development. It's a risk but all the other options are too expensive or stop gap signings.
He's the same age as Amad and a year older than Garnacho, it'd be important to remember that before piling too much pressure on him. If he were to join I'd certainly put him in that category or slightly higher because of his physique.
You're not serious surely? How can anyone try and normalise that recording, it's sickeningMaybe you could ask the police to throw him in an internment camp for re education and at the same time get social services to take the baby of this couple. Surely that would satisfy your end game?
If its not, then give it a rest and go and stand outside a nightclub at closing time and see how young folk speak to each other these days that is if you moral compass can cope with the shock.
Correct, every thread now infiltrated with folk wanting to give their 2 pence opinion.Mods, please open a Mr G thread, this is getting rediculous.

Reminder: Greenwood talk is still prohibited until the club make a decision on his future.
We think discussion could impact the club decision as it could bias a legal trial?
Doesn't hold any water. It's a topic that really should be discussed.
In all fairness, in terms of CB’s and one on one defending there weren’t many better than him in the premier league at the time.. Smaldini was a thing at one pointApparently he said the toughest defender he’s faced is Smalling. Gonna struggle in this league then…

Why we did we get rid of him if he’s so good? He’s suited more to a back 3 I think.Smalling has been one of the best defenders in Italy. From a purely physical defensive 1v1 point of view, there aren't many defenders as good as Smalling around. Van Djik yeah when he's fit, maybe Ruben Dias but there aren't many more.
Smalling has actually improved somewhat too at Roma, plays with more for freedom now.

Agree with that. Miles ahead of Maguire and Jones and a lot more reliable than Bailly. Don’t think he was a favourite of the managers. Was it Ole that sold him?I mean, we could have done with him more than the likes of Jones and Bailly. Heck, it was probably worth keeping him instead of spunking £80m on Maguire!
It also says a lot that he's actually one of the few players we've managed to move on for a decent fee in recent years.
Not actually good enough to start for us, mind you. Especially not ahead of Varane and Martinez.
The summer of 55!!!!
Oh yeah.
We got our first real 9
Bought him in the Serie A
Played him til' his toenails bled
Was the summer of '55
@Plant0x84 and the muppets in the Caf
Had a thread and posted so hard.
Brownie quit and Berbaclass got banned
We should have known the Glazers wouldn't go far
Oh, when I look back now
The sale seemed to last forever
And if I had the choice
Yeah, Osimhen would be here
Those were the worst days of my life
