Giggsy didnt fall off the wagon at 19.
What is this thread about?
Ravel Morrison would like a word (on a much lesser scale he just had huge disciplinary issues). And yes as someone else said Giggs would really like a word. Maybe Ronaldo would like a word?
You mean he wasn't caught.
Just seen some of the posts and I must say I'm disguisted.People desperately trying to avoid the clear reality of audio, transcripts and images so they can justify having a better striker at the club, I think.
That we shouldn't be investing in players like Hojlund because we need Kane or Osimhen. Also there's no point because Greenwood is the best young player on planet earth and is worth 150mill and he will come straight back into the team, play 9 and bang 40 goals so there's no point signing Hojlund. Also excuses for his atrocious behaviour to justify him scoring a few goals for us and non investing in overpriced overhyped Hojlund who only has 9 goals last season don't forget, dont you ever forget that. What is this thread about?
Thats a laughable comment. What, Fergie would have told him - son, dont go around and beat woman and that would be that? The club failed him too. It would never have happened under Fergie. He kept young players' feet firmly in the ground. Our kids have had too many changes/managers who had never had the time or willingness to do the same as what Fergie did.
Moysey got rid of all the senior players who under Fergie would have taken some of them under their wing.
intead we had self-centred players who grew up in an environment not caring about the next generation.

Love the part poster above my post said - we've all done regrettable things.
Sure I did, but for instance I've never beaten a women or raped her at 19.
You said it would ‘never’ happen. I gave you three examples. Ravel huge disciplinary problems. Giggs a woman beater and perennial wife cheater. Ronaldo a rapist. So you will use one example when there were lots of kids who came through as alright? I guess you are a firm believer in absolutes I guess. Binary thought process. If one failed I guess that means the whole process is a failure?
The remark most club managers have when they described United kids when on loan -- they were brought up right. Grounded.

You're acting like its a normal thing to do when you become a celebrity so young... And that's all whats to it, oh his head flew a bit in the air so he wasnt himself.

What mental gymnastics, I'm amazed. Kudos to you.Two points then I am done:
1) If you bothered to read and absorb what I had said earlier -- fans put too high expectations on the players. They are as susceptible to any bad activities as the rest of us -- and more so since they have been brought up in an environment thats flushed with money and people throwing themselves at you. I bet yu have never had to deal with that. It changes you.
2) Let's be honest here -- have you not done anything that would ahve be considered dubious behaviour in the past? Driving home with passengers after being the limit? Illegal drugs? Pushing your advance on a girl or guy when you were both a little drunk? Harsh/abusive words towards someone close? Send dic pics?
No? Then you must either be a saint or not have been out of the house much. Or you are just very selective with your memories.
My point is that people are way too sanctimonious here. I
Its a private matter between the wife/partner and Mason. If she decides not to press charges, who the feck are you then?
This post is crazy and almost seems to paint the alleged aggressor as some kind of victim. Yes, footballers are under a lot of scrutiny, but they are also in an incredibly privileged position. None of what you said is in anyway, shape, or form, relevant to the discussion about what Greenwood may or may not have done. Two points then I am done:

So which experienced striker you going for ?
Any type of violence, whether it's physical or mental within a relationship in so insane and I don't understand how anyone can ever be apologetic towards people who have abused their significant other is all kinds of fricked. Two points then I am done:

Well, add onto those, one should have opportunity to correct himself and grow to a better version of him.Two points then I am done:

Yeah you know, when you're flushed with money it changes you...The things people will say simply because they want to see a young lad kick a ball around for the team they support.

And don't you ever forget how to read goal ratios. That we shouldn't be investing in players like Hojlund because we need Kane or Osimhen. Why just us? Seems a bit of a cop outIt's bloody tiresome. I seriously hope he never kicks a ball for us again.
Why just us? Seems a bit of a cop out
UnderstoodPersonally I'd rather he never did again full stop, but I can appreciate that is highly unlikely. So at the very least I hope it is never for us.
Why just us? Seems a bit of a cop out
Isn’t this guy more “one for the future”?
The situation is complex because they are back together and trying to raise a family. I get that some people may still want to see himin jail or never play again at all, but it would probably end up hurting the victim more.We can't control other clubs, we can't even control united but obviously we will be watching us every week, so that's all we as United fans should really care about.
It's not a cop out, if your argument is to say, well he will play elsewhere! Why not here? Then just say so and let us all know that you don't think what the recordings, transcripts and images show is something that puts you off him playing for United.

What I mean is that it would be unfair to rely on him to lead the line as our first choice striker given his age and lack of Premier League experience. We couldn’t expect him to come straight in and be at the level of, say, a Mitrovic let alone a Haaland or Kane. The future is now.
I reckon Onana will be. Hojlund is more than a couple of weeks away.Would be great to have both Hojlund and Onana signed before the US Tour next weekend.
The situation is undoubtedly complex.
There are a huge variety of reasons why people who have suffered abuse return to their abusers, of course forgiveness is one of those and I'm sure there are instances were that reconciliation lasts without further issue. Of course the opposite is proven to be true more times than could be counted, with further hurt, trauma and the very worst of consequences being very real possibilities. We don't really know the situation between them now so it's not really proper to speculate.
What I feel is easy to say is that not being allowed to play football at the top top level, be a star, be paid millions and be adored by fans or otherwise due to your own actions is not a barrier to having a good relationship, being a good dad, providing a living. It's also not, not getting a second chance.
The second chance is not being in prison, seeing your partner, or child, playing football somewhere, at some level or shockingly getting a different job. All of those things are a second chance.
Second chances don't mean put the person back exactly where they were without any changes.
