Imagine if theCaf ran this club? My god we'd be in an even bigger mess than we're already in. Sell Rashford? Are you kidding me?

we should ask ourselves, if we want him to sign for our rivals? this guy cost us nothing compared to other expensive players but he is more effective than them and I believe that Eth can get the best of him through coaching.

Don't know about that. He looks very focused. You cannot perform the way he's at the moment without a bit of 'method acting'.
You can almost say he's absorbed a bit of that EtH seriousness and aspiration for perfection.
He's also in his mid-20s now and as much as people go on about what he did in the past, this comes with some maturity and level-headedness.
Now if he can just score a hattrick against Farca and throw them out, that'd be great.

Theres diamonds there..... bigger issue is martial of course but 'rashy' could be gone and united can make good $$$ and buy a true united player. If Rushford was Nigerian or Polish,his price will be halfed and he would not be playing for united. We all know this.
You don't get much truer than Rashford, he's playing for his home town which is what most kids dream of, he suits the team style, he's not going anywhere

How am I wrong though? Be honest. If Rashford was Jamaican and his performances last 3 years was for Hetha Berlin or something, would United be trying to buy him? Yes or no.
Think back to his last 3 years. Now say he's just some Jamaican midfielder playing for some mid level bundesliga club. Is the last 3 years worthy of united dropping a 90m offer ? No. Of course not.
Also look at this poll, the results speak for itself. People just changed their mind over the last several weeks.. which is absurd.
Not eastern European but Harry kane dominates him. United cant afford hane unless they sell rashford and martial. Than use that money over summer to get kane.
It's honestly wild to me just how against him people got, that 85% of this forum wanted him out... Shows how fickle fans are. Was always dumb as hell to write him off, but i guess some people are incapable of being objective and look at the full picture. It was a disaster season so everyone with the club should have left according to many.
It never made sense to sell this summer and he's making a lot of people look silly. I'm happy for him and he seems to be a lot happier too. Hopefully he can keep this up.

If he was Nigerian, polish or from any other east European country, you would be posting for awesome the player is and United should sign him.
Looking at what he is doing, and the player he is becoming under ETH, the answer is obvious.

Wanted him out before but credit where its due he changed my mind. Guy is a beast this season, not only that he also worked hard off the ball. Looks like he regained his speed and technique which probably can be attributed to proper coaching. Coady was terrorized by him all night. He probably could be even better if he had a proper coach since the beginning of his career

Or maybe we get Mbappe or Benzema for the Rashford money to get things going.

Strikers are all well and good, but Rashford plays on the left. Unless we bring in Mbappe or Vinicius, there won't be any guarantee of getting an upgrade on Rashford.

Yeah, I don't really see where he's coming from. Last season was obviously a bad season from everyone, but in the two years prior, Rashford hit 20 goals in all comps. He's on course for doing that again this season. Unless we can sign Vinicius Jnr or Mbappe, then there's no guaranteed upgrade out there.

For my sake, there are good reasons worth a gamble and give him a new deal but on what you all base, should or shouldnt X player get a new contract, is it current form, his body of work last couple of seasons, what? Also there is question of wages, how much increase he would get, is there a breaking point number when you step back and think even if you loud to give him now.

Not really. The 85%-ers look idiotic. The rest look sensible. Rashford under a quality manager looks world class.
The biggest concern is that he is too good and leaves anyway. He may become a PSG/Madrid/City level player that we can't hang on to. Our version of Deklan Rice at West Ham
Usually these threads look bad because of hindsight but honestly this one was one of the fecking dumbest things I've ever seen on here from the moment it was started. He was just off the back of scoring 20 goals two seasons in a row despite not being our main striker or penalty taker. There's literally no one realistic you can sign to replace that.

And I know and agree, Rashford was absolutely dogshit last season and his effort was a disgrace. But it was 100% obvious that last summer definitely was not the right time to sell a local boy with huge talent and potential which he already showed several times. So many of you guys were just ready to sell him asap as it meant nothing. A very likeable local boy, lifelong United Fan and english international who had nearly scored 100 goals already for the club at the age of 24. I had to avoid the Rashford Threads in spring/summer because I started to feel really sad reading them. Honestly, shame on you all.
I'm so glad and happy that Marcus shuts all the doubters up (once again) this year and the Streetford End sings his song in full force (again). Long may it continue.
