Looks like he might just be becoming that multifunctional winger/forward who at 24/25 starts delivering goals on a regular basis.
He's had the goals and assists for years... What he's finally doing is the rest of his game is coming together, decision making improving, work rate is now in and he's just part of the system and thriving, whereas under Ole he was giving a free role to just shoot as much as he could essentially and run with the ball constantly. He's a better all round player now along with the goals.

Yeah. I remember that. He was always shooting from 30 yards, or just running into cul de sacs.

You’re right. He’s greatly improved his overall play.

What a difference having an actual manager actually makes for a player. Ole tells him to have fun and just shoot, ETH actually makes Rashford better.

This just isn't true though. This year he takes 3.30 shots per 90. Last year it was 2.28, 2.65 the year before and 3.31 and 3.32 the years before that. You have to go back to 17-18 under Mourinho where his shot volume was higher than it is now at 3.56. Likewise his dribbles are now back up from last season's low of 3.61 to almost 4 a game but his success rate is right down from over 50% most seasons to only 38.5 this year.

We as a team are getting in better positions more often. It absolutely was true that Ole gave Rashford the 1 man attack role, and he did well, but it wasn't a great team attack. We funneled our attack through him. We aren't funneling our attack to him now, but he's still getting the high shot volume which is great and a byproduct of the team. Better shot selection, better decision making, more 1 on 1 dribbles and less dribbling through everyone even though he still tries it now and then. That's all what a better system encourages.

Except he's not dribbling less, he's just dribbling worse. He's always been very good, people just need to stop going overboard with putting everything on Ten Hag's shoulders and making out like we did nothing right under Solskjaer, for two years under Solskjaer we generated high quality shot volumes for 3 attackers and Bruno, we weren't a one man attack in the slightest.

Rashford was doing all these things just as well as he is now under two managers before EtH (who is doing well) ever arrived here. This is how Rashford would've been playing under any manager last year if he hadn't got the stress fractures in his back.

I’m going there…

He’s the only forward in world football at the moment who is anywhere near Messi or Mbappe

Southgate should be sacked

Haaland doesn’t count

I had completely written him off after his performances last season, but I can’t help but be amazed by this turnaround. Long may it continue!

He's becoming unplayable, just oozing confidence with every touch of the ball nowadays

Carrying a huge part of our attack at the moment with the lack of striker options. Massive credit for getting back to this level.

At the end of last season I was in the sell him camp. To be fair he looked like he completely forgot how to play football.

This season he has been very good and was sensational today. Got to give credit to both Rashford and ETH for turning this around

Looked like a competition winner for nigh on 2 years, but I'm so, so glad to have been wrong that he was having a Dele Alli career.

Opposition just terrified every time he gets the ball. Long may it continue.

Ronaldoesque now in physique and pace, power, shot. I’m over the moon he’s turned it around and getting back on top, looking like an absolute beast.

He’s turned being fast into power. Hopefully his body keeps up with it

Yeah, but he has made us all look like mugs.

I don't feel that way at all, I'm just happy he's back and looking better than ever. That was always my preferred outcome of this.

If people get their rocks off making "I told you so" posts and talking about how stupid other people were for suggesting it might be best to sell a player who'd been shit for a long time, looked like he'd lost the love for the game, and was entering his last year of contract, then that's fine, I guess.

Just me who thinks he looks depressed in interviews?

Yeah he doesn't speak like someone who's in the best form of his life. Keeping his feet on the ground though and not getting carried away

I like it

If we sell him. I'll be fine with it if he does well, but we do better, and devastated if he dont do well. If he suck whilst staying here, it's just something I have to live with.

You guys are so fickle. The guy have a few good weeks and 2 average years and its keep him now?? Sell him when you can still get a sucker, don't hold and regret. Think of him as a horrible stock that occasionally bursts up 3x 4x but will always crash down. He's at 4x now... if he remains 4x by summer ( miracle) sell him asap. The thing is by March his form would be gone again.... Rashford and martial are not title winners. The good news is united knows this and will get in some winners soon.

Rushford is good but over paid so should be gone
Martial is not good not even by Tottenham standards much less united
