Ten hag needs to be sacked if he wants rashford to stay. Any manager who says during the interview that rashford needs to be kicked should be given the keys.
Certainly not meaning to suggest it's a binary or simple black-and-white scenario. It did make me think, however, given how often I'm saying this kind of thing to others on different topics. It’s not a binary situation though, is it? Both parties need to be happy he has a future here. All this tells us is that Rashford wasn’t sure but now he wants to stay.
His opinion can be formed completely separately to whatever opinion the club might have on the issue.
Stop getting confused between Rashord PR team and Ten Hag.Ten hag needs to be sacked if he wants rashford to stay. Any manager who says during the interview that rashford needs to be kicked should be given the keys.
"A big part of his plans"
Let's see what a decent break and some better coaching could do, but I'm not overly optimistic.
Let's say this true. It's staggering to think that we've allowed things to reach the point where as the situation stands he feels he is the one with the right to call the shots on if he stays or goes when it should be the club deciding whether he is actually worth keeping.
That's the main thing for me.I can't forgive his lack of effort.
Do journalists get paid when player PR teams ask them to post stuff?
Same. I think it turns very sour by January if he doesn't hit the ground running. He gets one more season from me
The lack of effort concerns me, but I know how good he can be at his best
He strikes me as someone who needs the hairdryer treatment
I'm just saying if the club is going on some all out charm offensive to persuade him to stay then that seems completely unjustified and equally absurd. It literally says Ten Haag considers him a big part of his plans.
I tend to agree with you. There is no excuse for his lack of effort and not trying. He got paid handsomely to do that and he didn't. It is ok if he misses chance, but not trying is different. That's the main thing for me.
Why does he need a new season or a new manager to work hard on the pitch? Just do it now, why wait?
Nothing has been promised. We're still in the market for a striker for a reason.I'm just saying if the club is going on some all out charm offensive to persuade him to stay then that seems completely unjustified and equally absurd.
Fees in the Conference have gone crazy, it seems. He was great his first 2 years, he has regressed since and now at non league level.. I’d be happy to get £70 m for him.

Fair enough he wants to stay, and he's obviously not as atrocious as he's been this season, but that "improved" bit is crazy. He's absolutely not deserving of a higher wage when he's been by far our worst player this season.

With the forwards we're likely to lose this year I'd like to keep him and see if he can recover some form under Ten Hag.
We can't replace our entire squad all at once and he obviously loves the club. I'd give him a chance, but not offer a new contract at the moment.
His application and attitude this season is not worth a clean slate under a new manager, let alone a new and improved contract.
Theres an opportunity for ETH, Arnold and Co to really make a statement with how they handle Rashford.

Difference though with Maguire is I see a honest player that is 100% professional and does try his best, it's just mentality wise and quality wise he is not good enough and fits certain tactics because of his physical attributes. This way of thinking needs to stop.
He has been terrible for a while and needs to be shipped out.
We aren't replacing the entire squad in one window, but we need to get the worst players out first. Rashford is arguably the worst regular first team player. Maguire would be the other contender.
With the season he had, we’d be lucky to get 45 m for him.He was great his first 2 years, he has regressed since and now at non league level.. I’d be happy to get £70 m for him.
