Just look at our form pre and post Bruno, compare that to Maguire, and you'll see why Bruno made a bigger impact on the team.

Trophies are irrelevant to the topic, you're asking why one made a bigger impact than another.

Maguire solidified the defence, it was all clear to see. Once the team defended better, the next steps was to sort out the attack, where Bruno came in and done the business.

You have to think why Ole went and sorted the defence first and then the attack? He also then goes on and gives Maguire the captaincy...after 6 months. Tells you about his impact.

Preparing bid = 48 hours?

Or are the infamous 48 hours a thing of the past? Will full moon be a thing of the past in two seasons time?

.

If anything his impact has been overrated lately, mainly because our backups are very average and it showed in his absence and partly due to his performances for England.

Can’t agree with that at all, we play miles better football now from the back, we’re much calmer, less likely to get bullied. Just an all round better defensive unit, Mourinho’s tactics will most often give an idea of defensive solidity, but that doesn’t even begin the tell the full story of how we looked pre-Maguire with the likes of Smalling shitting their pants on the ball.

When the full moon aligns with the red flag, we will prepare the bid. From that moment, it will be 48 hours until we feel the effectiveness of the moon's gravitational effects on Perez and he will have no choice but to accept our bid

Why can’t people agree that BOTH Bruno and Maguire have done excellent jobs. They really can’t be compared the way some of you are trying.

This is my point. Both have had a big impact on the team...in their own areas.

But not wanting to derail the thread, I believe the partnership of Varane and Maguire will give more licence to our attackers to perform. Hopefully a formation change to reflect this?

Resorting to calling me “a complete idiot” within out first exchange shows how valid you consider your point yourself and is also a good indication of your ability to argue it and your intelligence overall.
Maybe it was harsh of him to say complete.

But he’s got a point.

Agreed.

But we had Maguire then? We can’t look at it any other way. A team is the sum of its parts. Sometimes a player is just the player a team needs and completes the jigsaw butit wouldn’t be the case if the other parts weren’t there. Even then in the case of all our players the jigsaw isn’t complete because we’ve won nothing.

To say any of our players are the sole reason and single handidly dragged us, is completely untrue. Other players were outstanding in that run such as Shaw, Martial and Greenwood.

Yeah. If we had Bruno and not Maguire to begin with and then added Maguire, we would see the same impact at United that Maguire made for England on his return in the Euro's.

I do agree we're better from the back but it's not just Maguire, going from Young to Shaw was also a huge upgrade in that regard.

They're saying it's done dealio and will be reported soon? they're either jumping the gun massively or they've heard something concrete. Lets see.

Either way I can't see it failing now

Is Mbappe going to land at Madrid (next year) as the only world class player they have ?

Madrid seem obsessed with operation Mbappe.
