Hello.
So does arguably their greatest player ever, RonaldoMakalele says Bonjour
A Premier League trophy and domestic English cups would really round out his résumé...Hello.
Don't forget Robben. Also incredibly harsh on Sneijder, he was far better elsewhere than he was at Real Madrid. Besides, the whole thing of Real Madrid, Barca and Bayern not "letting go" players unless they're past it has been proven wrong time and time again. People just remember the few flops and feel like that's all there is to it.I'm explaining that, basically, Real don't let go of players that are crucial to them. Others have had some success, but they have usually been limited to a final swansong in a worse league or are performing at lower levels than previously. I believe all those players you listed fall into those categories. Let's put it this way, if Varane truly was "elite" in the eyes of people that coach him, manage him, see him every day and every game, they absolutely wouldn't be losing him. I don't buy into this stuff about them needing money etc.
I'm not saying they think/he is rubbish, but they have probably earmarked a replacement that is as good/better and will see a transaction that makes them a profit. Meanwhile our fans get giddy over the whole thing like I've seen countless times (every transfer) over the years. Yet when you question a signing or say that they're perhaps not as good as people seem to make out, you get pelters for it. And they are the ones that have ended up with egg on their faces more often than not these last 8-9 years yet still don't want to hear it.

Varane is truly elite. They want him to stay. Every club in Spain has to make wage cuts because of how their salary caps are determined. Varane has 1 year left on his contract and doesn't want to accept a wage cut.
Varane has been one of the best CB in the world over the past 10 years and formed a world class partnership with Varane. He was the main defender in Frances world cup win. He's only 28 and has qualities that suit Maguire perfectly. Honestly, if there were 2 players who suited what United needed more than anyone right now, it was Varane and Sancho. They're both absolute dream signings.
Are we getting two players for the price of one?......Bargain!That's quite impressive.

Finally we get a pair of twin defenders again after the glorious days of the Da Silva brothers. Are we getting two players for the price of one?......Bargain!
Raphael Varane and Fabio VaraneFinally we get a pair of twin defenders again after the glorious days of the Da Silva brothers.
Ha ha yeah. Try as we might our Phil is non-transferableIn that nobody wants to sign him.
Phil Jones is also non-transferable.
Varane knows we are the most serious team who has been admired him for long time and we have the most enthusiastic fans which played part for his decision. We got this. Chelsea don’t waste your time and focus on signing your striker instead.
Doesn't Haaland know that we wanted him the longest time too?
Hilarious, couldn’t make it up could you?
But you're wrong in the sense that Madrid DO want to keep him they've been trying to extend his deal for a year and it's been reliably detailed in Spain that he wanted to leave in 2019 but Zidane being rehired convinced him to stay. The player's GENUINE preference for a new challenge, new salary caps in Spain and contract situation has backed Madrid into a corner out of their will I'd bet my life if Perez had a genuine opportunity he'd keep Varane but he simply can't. It doesn't all of a sudden make Varane damaged goods that he's leaving one of the best clubs in the world. Di Maria, Robben, Sneijder, Ronaldo, Ozil have all had decent individual careers since leaving Madrid a 28yr old Varane in his prime will be just fineI'm explaining that, basically, Real don't let go of players that are crucial to them. What's the problem with us trying to get a fee down of over €60m for a 28yr old with a year left on his deal? You can bash Utd for other stuff but NEVER bash them for trying to get the best deal possible for the club especially during COVID the Sancho deal should be evidence of it. Also don't believe everything you read in the media some word in Spain is a deal is likely to be done this week as Madrid want things sorted out quickly themselves a final fee will likely be around €55mI can't see this one happening, I've read that we are trying to get the price down and if Real Madrid are trying to raise funds for the striker from PSG they won't appreciate their time being wasted.
I would love it if it came off but in reality the last few years we've had to go for young up and coming players, good quality players from the Portuguese league or older players that have been released, this time we are talking about a world class defender, a proven one at that, from one of the biggest clubs in world football.
I know Real and Barca are having cash problems and I've seen stories saying Barca are going to release Samuel Umtiti - if true I see more chance of us signing him because he fits in with the freebie route and we can push a big signing on fee his way.
I'm surprised we haven't tried to pip Arsenal to the signing of the Brighton defender.
Not as long as Varane. We admired Varane since 2011.
Exactly we been admiring Haaland since its been legally allowed.Well yeah, if we'd been admiring Haaland for that long we'd have ended up on some kind of list.
If it's positive news, it is 100% reliable. Done Dealio.Reliable?
I like that scale. An empty moon should now accompany every tweet of Jan the clown
Very reliable according to the moon system
I'm at work and can't see the image. What does it say? I can't cope with not know
Raphaël Varane is joining Manchester United. It will be official this week. @Carpio_Marca #rmalive
According to the moon tier system it’s a done dealio
Pretty sure "lost a level" applies to his not so great season compared to his previous campaigns. So he's "lost a level" or "entering his peak"? How can one player be both things at a time?
