Ralf vs Ole ( performance vs result)

Am genuinely interested in where this shakes out end of the season. It can’t get worse than it now surely.

I believe Ralf knows what needs to be fixed and has an idea of how to go about it. He will leave us in a better position than he found us, I'm sure of that, even if it's just highlighting what is wrong.

Ole had no idea on any of it. He was guessing.

We actually played well under Ralf for a period, poor finishing let us down. Losing Shaw, Fred and McTominay at the same time killed the team

He was only an interim manager anyway so Im not sure what all the fuss is about

Still think this way?
Yeah pretty much, I posted earlier saying I back him 100% over the players. It doesn't sound right to say at this point 'he's done a very good job' so I'd change it to 'he's done the best he can'. Feel like RR was always a known quantity, he has just come in and done what he does, tried to implement high energy, pressing, high intensity game and it's gone down with the players like a lead balloon. Says everything about them tbh. A feel good arm around the manager who set us up to get Bruno playing balls over the top for Rashy to score might have got us more points, but just what would be the fecking point. RR is some kind of necessary piece of this solution.

We were worse under Ole. Our xGD was negative. We were gaining points we shouldn't have been gaining at all.
United won 5-1 against Leeds, 3-0 against Spurs, 4-1 against Newcastle, 1-0 against Wolves, and 2-1 against West Ham. From what I can see the only one of those games in which United had less xG than their rival was against Wolves. Given that xG is a probability it's not particularly unusual for one game out of many to break in your favor.
Wouldn't the bigger issue be that United got their asses kicked a bunch of times?

How has he earned your trust? The results have been awful and he hasn't been able to get anyone to listen to him. That's the definition of failure mate.

A lot of the issues we have aren't on him I agree but he's been a terrible appointment nonetheless

This is a ridiculous comparison at this point. Rangnick isn't beyond criticism, but hes working with players who quite blatantly packed it in and have no shame. They did it to solskjaer in his final weeks - I thought he had to go, but Solskjaer had this time way better than they are now and they used him as a scapegoat for their own lack of unity and spirit. Every single conversation about managers needs to have the caveat that many of these players don't particularly care about winning

In any case, whoever got them mid season this year was inheriting the worst job in football. Huge expectations with players who don't care and have no respect for what a manager is
