The reality it’s probably one player who’s disgruntled that he wasn’t allowed a move last summer and was promised he’d get game time this season and hasn’t, now he’s leaving at the end of the season and is smashing up the place on the way out. It’s petulance of the highest order
Maybe, but I'd expect some resistance in the opposite direction if it was just one player speaking out of turn but the "group" seem pretty happy with the narrative these leaks are painting. All this bollocks just comes across so cowardly, even if all the shit they're saying was 100% true, the way they've gone about speaking to the press without wanting to directly expose themselves, spineless twats.

They’ve been off for two days apparently, back in today. I’m sure one of them will be sent out to face the media, along with Ralf next time we play

Sick of the player power. If i was in the crowd, i'd boo the players non stop. I think we go too easy on the layers.

Know howson can be a bit of a tit, but his rant today on fulltimedevils is class!

Genuinely believe that Man Utd need a case of Jocko Willink's Extreme Leadership.

They need a 3rd party to go in and sort out this mess, because clearly something is going wrong in terms of personnel and leadership

“ ‘Some of Jesse Lingard's teammates believe he is overdue a run in the team’ , says our source, Jesse Lingard. “
That’s on the last regime for not selling him last summer, instead of promising him gametime that he’s not getting. Now Ragnick has inherited this mess.

So they want all this coaching, but then complain that there is too much training?

:wenger:
I was going to say the same thing. They complain when they have to work longer hours but also complain that they’re not getting time to work on every part of their game. :wenger:

One thing for sure they were spoilt under Ole.

I think that what a lot of us don't want to admit is that United are still in a rebuild. This is where Rangnick should prove to be valuable - in the next two years when he helps re-structure United into a modern football club. It deeply saddens me when I read and hear about how far United is behind City, Liverpool, Bayern, and other big clubs in terms of modern organization, facilities, scouting, and so forth. Simply buying a few stars won't solve the problem. I am hopeful that Rangnick can right the great ship that has begun to list awkwardly.

Ole was fine for a while by overcoming some of the toxicity that had come into the place from Mourinho's practice of calling out players in public. However, Ole's style of "get talented footballers, be creative, and have fun" football never built a true team structure. That is certainly a part of what we are seeing when Rangnick tries to get them to play in a structured system.

I am a bit disappointed that Rangnick has not played with more 3-man fronts. I think that United's attacking options are best suited for that type of formation in attack. Though it may be due to United's weaknesses in midfield.

 seriously? So players are sad because Jessie fecking Lingard doesn't start ? Who comes up with these kind of shit ?

Out of all benched players , who actually make a case to start? DVB is the only one I can think of and we are still unsure whether he is a CM or a no 10.

These are all reflecting badly on players. If they think they can tarnish Ralf they themselves are getting embarrassed in the public. Fecking shit, do they really think they have a divine right to play for United ?

I dont care if we are relegated. Stay strong Ralf.

That narrows it down.

Jesus this thread is just full of complaining despite nobody knowing if the leaks are real or who they are from. Awful stuff.

Are there any actual proper quotes from these reports. It all appears like utter drivel to me.

The fans should buy leather whips and send them to rangnick. I want to see the players getting whipped on the training ground if they dont put in a shift.

Im looking forward to hearing from Ralf at the next presser and seeing how he responds to questions regarding this…..also be interested to see what player he has along side him….

It’s been very quiet on social media from all the players this week……I think a shit-storm is brewing at Carrington at the moment and will be interesting to see who breaks cover first and when the finger pointing starts!

The report that some are not happy Lingard isn't getting played is likely Lingard himself or Rashford, or just some stupid close mate thing that doesn't really reflect the squad.

We should though simply not put Lingard, Henderson, DVB, Mata on the bench any more though, just like Martial. If a player has stated they want to leave and we have no plans to use them just don't feature them at all, let the places go to Heaton and some youth players. What benefit is there to use to have Lingard and Donny on the bench over a youth player if there's no scenario we actually use them, at least let a young lad get the experience.

I hope to god our board sides with the Manager this time and shows the door for the unhappy players. It's almost given that we'll not make top 4. Let's use this six months to do a massive clear-out and then bring in new players .

No, I'm saying 2nd and EL final is somewhat comparable to 4th and CL final.

No it's not. Finishing 2nd while being out of title challenge by Jan and reaching the 2nd tier European competition final isn't comparable to reaching Champions League final.

Let's ask people here what they'll take out of these two, shall we ?

What a fecking bunch of assholes our players are. It’s one thing to be disenchanted. It’s probably okay to be thoroughly let down on your expectations of Ragnick. Maybe he is average as feck. But clearly he’s going to be here 5 months.

stop bloody leaking like a sieve. No one gives a shit about y’all after the standards thatyou’ll have set for yourselves.

this club is in complete meltdown andis imploding.

This is where we are at now as human beings. Everything we read is instantly fact, especially if its a tweet, and double-triple especially if its something we want to be true or can be mad about!

It's been reported by all outlets including highly reputable ones so there's obviously a leak. That's beyond reasonable doubt.

It’s been tweeted by a bunch of reputed journalists/ vultures. Unless you believe that they can make up these things without repurcusions from the club itself then you’re living in Lala land. It’s one thing to make a fake transfer link, it’s another to potentially sabotage a club

Listen, my first post said some fans on this forum felt that Ole should have been sacked in the summer. I didn’t say they were equivalent achievements. The point I was trying to make is that progress isn’t always linear and it absolutely isn’t comparable when it comes to different clubs and squads.

4th with Liverpools squad at the time was probably better than 2nd with our squad for example.

Now all that said I still think there would have been a significant anti-Klopp group on this forum if he had finished 8th and then 4th even if he did get to a CL final.

The finishing 2nd (in front of empty stadiums) is so overblown.

When we lost the league by a single point (Blackburn '95, Arsenal '98, Chelsea - 10) and City by GD in 12, those were close, going down to the wire. Those were times you could point at the squad and say yeah we're nearly there with a bit of luck. When you're saying well if City lose the next 5 games in a row we might have a shot by February and March, you're not close. You don't have a small gap to close, you're just in a top 4 race which you managed to come out on top.

If the players refuse to work harder, be fitter, press, run more on the pitch and follow the manager instructions, we could have Klopp or Pep or even prime SAF, we stand no chance at all. After 5 games, we would have Klopp, Pep or SAF Sack Watch Thread.

It's obvious to me that we should back the manager this time. We have seen with our own eyes that the players are capable of pressing in Palace game. After that they refused to do it at all. Whining about double training sessions, Rangnick style is not suitable for them, go back home after training in the dark and whatnot.

Most of it is contradicting and reads like bullshit. I'm not one for reading too much into journo shit considering a lot of these ones are easy to see they made up.

But way they played other night, the body language is terrible from some players.

Looks like they've down tools already. Disgrace if they are looking to try get another manager sacked.

Ralf no mug so hopefully he is going in hard, and trying to weed out the ones who want to be here and the ones who don't, as part of the bigger picture with how we are restructuring off the pitch.

We've went a very long time without winning a trophy. Total culture change is needed at the moment, and couldn't think of a better man to bring it. He needs to win this war.

Just so I'm clear, you don't believe that journalists ever embellish a story, and I'm the one living in lala land?

The main difference between Liverpool in this period and current United under either Ole or Ralf is that it was always clear back then Liverpool were moving in the right direction. Klopp implemented his style of play quickly when he was hired and the problems of the squad was pretty clear to everyone. It was clear Liverpool's main problem back them was their defense and their GK for example, and that with few more signings in these areas they'll become challengers. Their attack were scoring for fun even since Klopp's first full season. It was always their shitty defenders and GKs who were bringing them down.

With Klopp's Liverpool there was a sense that with just proper key signings in very certain areas, they'll be back on the top. Klopp had a proper plan of rebuilding the squad and it's not a surprise it paid off once they signed VVD and Alisson.

The current United didn't have this. Every time we felt the team was starting to move in the right direction, it's just for short period followed by multiple stinkers that made us convinced it was just a false down. Every summer we enter thinking we need ton and ton of signings in ton of positions in order to compete. Under LVG, Mourinho, Ole and now Ralf or whatever, there's nothing about United that screams "planned rebuild" or "actual proper progress". It has always been just false dawns, nothing else.

Can you look at current United team and pick one or two certain problems that if solved will make us challengers, like with Liverpool when everyone knew it was their defense and GK that were bringing them down ? The current United team has a shit defense, awful midfield and underperforming attacking players. It looks like we need a complete clear out rather than just one or two key signings like VVD or Alisson.

And it's not a surprise this has been the feeling during these entire 9 years under all our previous managers, not just Ole or Mourinho for example. No, every summer it's the same feeling, because United didn't have any plan of rebuilding and we have been just doing random signings here and there.

A little bit, for sure. But I’d say it’s mostly on the player himself for almost a decade of sub par performances, to a club that supported him through many tough times. And that includes his joke attempts at playing football on the odd occasion he has been giving a chance this season.

Before we sack a kther manager Id prefer to sack all these idiotic players and their ego issues
