Brave of Ronaldo to go at Rangnick…
Punching down is pathetic.

Ronaldo wasn't wrong about Ralf though.
A nobody who was never a coach to begin with. How he got the job, even on an interim basis, is beyond me.
Exactly. He is very well known in Germany and has/had a very good reputation here.He was a manager for a long time. Perhaps not that famous outside of Germany but hardly a nobody.
A lot of top English managers are probably nobodies in Germany.
I’m sure many of these coaches exist in most leagues, you can’t blame Ronaldo or any fan for not knowing who he was. Ronaldo is a man who has played in 4 different leagues, every tournament you can think of. He isn’t just English basedHe was a manager for a long time. Of course he was wrong. Rangnick is a very good manager. Players need to look in the mirror.Ronaldo wasn't wrong about Ralf though.

But Ronaldo's criticism was he hadn't heard of him and therefore he had no merit being a United manager.I’m sure many of these coaches exist in most leagues, you can’t blame Ronaldo or any fan for not knowing who he was. Still speaks volumes about Ronaldo not knowing him (certainly a lie) than about the credentials of RR. Also it appears that the problem lies within the superficial "Who is he?" rather than "What does he do?" which is also of no surprise. RR actually did win some silverware as a coach too though.Only problem is he was a sporting director not a coach/manager.

Rangnick had Ronaldo's number from the get-go. He wanted him out immediately and told this to the parasites. The only thing Ronaldo is doing is proving him 100% right. Something that has been happening rather frequently.

Has been proven right again. We bought 5 new players in the summer and probably need anither 5.To be fair, Ralf wanted 10 new players so basically he wanted everyone out
What a fecking disaster of a tenure.

Doesn't someone have to exist to be a nobody?

He did, but he didn't say it had to happen over one window. And he was absolutely right. Ten Hag chose to ignore this at first. And it took him two games to reach the same conclusion. We brought five players in. And it's painfully evident we need as much more.

Well we brought in 6 this summer and we all want another striker & CM + competition at RB so ETH wants at least 9, and wants AWB, Maguire, Fred, Ronaldo and a bunch more gone so…
I think this quote has been taken out of context a bit and been sensationalised. He was talking about the amount of players that were leaving due to contracts being up and needing to replace them plus then add quality to other positions. We added five and most of us would probably agree we could have done with a few moreTo be fair, Ralf wanted 10 new players so basically he wanted everyone out

He never stood a chance at United after only being appointed as Interim with no real sway and now what appears to be Ronaldo being a colossal bellend behind the scenes. It's no wonder he looked like he'd given up towards the end and went searching for another job.
Feel proper sorry for him after hearing Ronaldo’s comments, clear he was ridiculed and undermined from the get-go. Add that to Carrick, McKenna and co. all deserting him, leaving him desperately grabbing any coaches he could find that would come for a short spell and well, he was on an absolute hiding to nothing.
Yeah right. The guy flew to Portugal because he got benched, he was obviously causing problems for Ralf and now Ten HagHe wasn't wrong about anything he said about Ralf though. If you actually watched the interview he wasn't trying to riducule Ralf. He was highlighting the fact that the club has gone backwards/stayed the same since 20 years ago.

The two are correlated because hes making excuses for his shitty behaviour. Rangnick was an interim not the full time manager.Yes but again, that doesn't mean what he said isn't true...
Not sure how the two are correlated.
feck him. Blamed everybody but himself and got himself a cushy wee job off the back of it.Feel proper sorry for him after hearing Ronaldo’s comments, clear he was ridiculed and undermined from the get-go. to be honest i was only commenting on the "ten new players" bit that always gets thrown about when taking shots at Ragnick. F.W.I.W. i also think he was a disaster of a manager and in hindsight should never had been brought inI was simply replying to the last poster who said he wanted Ronaldo out. He wanted everyone out.
I think some of yous really need to read the whole thread before commenting on something.
He was also a fecking disaster of a manager.
And in doing so he has vindicated RR, he never stood a chance when probably the greatest player ever didn't respect him or even attempt to work in his system. Given everything else that was going against him like having no preseason, no winter signings and a broken, treacherous dressing room - Ronaldo flatly refusing to give him a chance was the killer. Basically by undermining the manager Ronaldo killed whatever chance we had to salvage the season.Brave of Ronaldo to go at Rangnick…

Biggest fraud to step foot at this club.
And there have been quite a few since SAF retired.
Murtough got it very wrong at the time, as most of us predicted, but he made amends for the ETH hire.
In hindsight it was only temporary, but we lost out on a fourth place spot which was very gettable if we had hired a manager who could just get the team playing half decently instead of completely imploding.
Rangnick was a failed experiment but it's easy to see why it happened. We didn't have any viable replacement, the club chose not to go for Conte and there were no other coaches with any pedigree available at the time. It's the same reason why Solskjaer didn't go until we got several pastings in quick succession.Ronaldo wasn't wrong about Ralf though.

Also Rangnick was a manager in Germany and anyone siding with Ronaldo in this is either driven by agenda or as clueless as Ronaldo.
Siding with Ronaldo how?
Was Rangnick a trainwreck better suited to building a club's structure than to coaching a football team? Yes.
Did it make sense hiring a guy who hadn't coached in years to coach a badly coached side? No. Furthermore, we failed to even secure him adequate coaches to implement his style, ending up with some MLS coaches who seemed 'surprised by the speed of the game in the Premiership' (I mean WTAF?)
These are the point Ronaldo (self-serving or not) raised, and which I wholeheartedly agree with.
Nah he also claimed Rangnick wasnt ever a coach and that he didnt know who he was. that makes him sound like a clueless git. If you are supposed to be a professional football player you should educate yourself on who your interim manager is.
