Ralf presser against Arsenal

Can't wait till he fecks off to to his 6 days a month consultancy role.

Ralf comes across pretty toxic to me but a lot of you aren't ready to have an honest conversation about that. He's failed horrendously as manager here but doesn't waste a second in isolating himself from the mess.
He’s failed because the players are shit. He speaks the truth of what’s going on and in the long run we’ll be thanking him

clear from that that he had no role in ETH appointment. which is an absolute joke. I know he is busy preparing the team... but what did we actually bring him in for. he ius a worse coach than ole and a brilliant upstairs football person by all accounts. we keep him busy prepping the team to be poor while we make big decisions upstairs and away from him

I think the one thing that is clear is Ralf plays the press game pretty well. Its clear he has been involved as everyone has reported it, even when he was asked if he spoke with eth he said not in person. I think he's being very clever with what he says and reveals to the press.

I mean, he is absolving himself from all the blame obviously, but I love that he is in full barrage mode.

This embargoed part of the presser is mad. Love it.

It's plainly obvious his primary directive was to diagnose the issues at the club/first team as a complete outsider, but one who has managed in the past and built large player/playing programs from youth, academy, first team, etc.

Open heart surgery....literally needs the club to change itself in vital areas and then connect it all together in order for it to function properly again at an optimal level. If EtH is the heartbeat of the club now, then the players are next.

viva la revolucion

I’d heard before I arrived they called Harry Maguire ‘slabhead’ which always amused me given the funny translation into plattekopf in my native tongue. What didn’t amuse me was that it turned out dummkopf would have been more apt once I had taken a few training sessions, how this club sanctioned a record transfer for him has kept me up many sleepless nights.

  well done tom.

think there’s a letter missing from that one

Took me a moment but

Fair play to the man, he wants a full root and branch uprooting and reform at the club and I love it.

Fans have been hoping for just that for years now, good to hear it brought out in the open publicly and behind the scenes as I'm sure Ralf has been.

Really hope he gets a concrete job in the front office after his interim job is over. He'd be much more beneficial long term as a technical director than Darren Fletcher

he clearly thinks the players are lazy and unfit - and he’s right.

Think about it this way; he’s toxic or not; he has called ALL of them shit. And yet we have yet to see any “run thru the brick wall” to prove him wrong from any of these guys.
I know whose responsible for this mess; glazers, woodward, ole.

You must be one of those people that go and complain to HR every time someone points out your feck-ups, even cordially.

Ten Hag's latest interview has set the standard, they do what Ten Hag wants, or they are fecking gone. Some of these posters are in for a hell of a ride as all their chancer millionare idols are thrown on the dust heap.

Wow he’s ripped into every single player there. Fair play to him. Obviously covering his own ass to some extent which is t good but also the players haven’t performed for him. My only issue with Ralf is that he seemed to give up pretty quick.

One of the worst posts i’ve ever seen on this forum and no doubt a player/Glazer apologist. Only man here saying what we’ve all been thinking in public for everyone to see so nobody can hide and you can’t wait till he goes? Yeah okay

Rangnick has been the single shining light to come out of this wretched season.

His hard work in shining the torch squarely on the rotten culture running throughout the club has been invaluable.

Until him it's been the task that no-one has been prepared to do.

I strongly believe that If Ten Hag is a success next year, a large part of the credit should go to Rangnick's sacrifices now.

This is it for me. I said in another thread that while his interim manager role has been a letdown in results it has done more for this club than we could of hoped for.

Ralf knows where we need to be and since he isn’t staying on has no problem telling the media the problems and I’m sure he will have plenty for ETH which will make his start so much easier

Not really. If ETh hit the ground running and hit some height, he would earn the most credit. We can appreciate RR for his honest straightforward public message to the board. However, words alone is not the revaluation itself, doers are and where most credit should go for.

  what a crybaby you are, feck sake.

Yes I can't wait till we no longer have to hear him in press conferences. We get it, he's said the players are shite and lazy, we can all accept that. But a more sensible approach would be what Conte did at Spurs. He criticised the quality and recruitment but he didn't completely crash and burn the whole place like Rangnick did.

The truth is, he realised he couldn't do what was asked on the pitch with this team so is pointing fingers. While he's pretty right in most of what he's saying, I think he's being incredibly dishonest by not accepting a share of the blame for our poor results.

And I stand by it, he's incredibly toxic, people are happy to accept that because of the potential end results and so am I in a sense. However after this season I don't want to hear him talk on behalf of the club, he's a tactless man in my opinion.

You wouldn't know tactless if it stood naked in front of you. You have an agenda and you will run with regardless of what truths are pointed out to you. Ralf has had his hands tied working with a bunch of freeloading nogooders and you talk of being tactless. This cowards surrendered after the first half of game one. Good they did because it allowed him to see clearly what was wrong from the get go and is best poised to fix it. He has also not tried to cover it up like Ole.

Not even close comparasion, one is a well run club with a stadium to pay for, the other is a shit show falling apart in front of our eyes.

And if RR is toxic, i’d love to know your views on Pogba, lingard and Bailly to name a few?

Sounds like Ralf and ETH are gonna clean house - he's showing the world what the problems are instead of protecting these toxic, unfit players like previous managers. This is the first time i'm hopeful that we might actually head in the right direction. People asking why he was brought in as manager? Why the hell do you think? To see the issues close up - he can't make recommendations about the squad by just watching training can he? He's been managing these guys day in day out and has now seen they can't follow basic instructions and he knows which players have the right mentality and has seen first hand the problems in the dressing room and how they deal with pressure or instructions. He knows who the trouble makers are and he knows which players should be kept - THIS was why he was brought in. It was hoped that the squad was good enough (Narrator: It wasn;t) that he'd be able to get top 4 as a bonus until we got a new manager - but his main purpose was to assess the squad.

"Why was he brought in as manager " Honestly, give your heads a wobble.

Not a problem of managers quality (we all agree on this, from Moyes to Ole 10 years of similar results on the pitch)

There's been a lot of talk about players downing tools but to be honest Ralf has been talking for weeks like he'd given up the season. He's saying all the right things about the club structure and such, but he's not done much to motivate the team judging by his interviews.
