If you play Pogba in the Bruno position then where do you play Bruno? Absolutely no chance Pogba will do a better job than Bruno in that position.

Not suggesting we should do it but I have been curious to see how Bruno would perform in the LW position. I think he could do quite well

I was thinking along the lines of giving Bruno a rest sometimes. I do agree that he wouldn't do as good a job as Bruno.
But I find him pretty ineffective next to Matic. That's been the story of the past 3-4 years though, what's Pogba's best position!

To be fair, whenever we’ve tried him in an advanced position in a midfield 3 or the few occasions he’s been played in a number 10 he’s been equally inconsistent.

I very much doubt OGS has had much say in any of the signings. Though you’re absolutely right in pointing out that the “young British core” policy seems to have been quietly dropped.

I can see the scenario drawn by @Schmeichel's Cartwheel actually happening, but if so it will be Ed’s doing rather than Ole’s.
 
The sooner he is sold the better. Way too inconstant. I hope Deadwood realises that £40/50 mill will be the most we will get and doesnt think he will be getting most of the transfer fee back.

I don't hate Pogba myself, I think at he's best he's one of the very best in the world.

The issue is he doesn't want to be at United, so getting 60M euros for him would be good to reinvest in the squad at this point.

There is one player who just isn't attainable, that's Kroos that would be perfect for the role.

There's Camavinga who I think looks to be a good player, but he's too young (18) and I just think he would not adapt immediately, he probably needs to stay until around 20-21 before big clubs come in. We see it too much with the lines of Renato Sanches that just struggles when they move.

Grealish I think is the right option but Pogba is definitely on his way out.
 
I'm hoping that hell commit to staying once we put a decent title run together and the squad has that hunger for success that was missing for so long. He would need to do a complete U turn in terms of his expressed commitment to the club but even without his performances improving hed be a good squad option.

We’ve actually done that a few times near the end of games in recent weeks. But he hasn’t been anywhere near as effective. We had Pogba moved further forward and Bruno to the left but I can’t remember which game. I think it may have been Arsenal at home.

Never hated him. Just not bothered when he leaves. Previously I would have been. But he’s had 5 years to make himself indispensable which he hasn’t taken.

Why not just sell him and buy someone who actually wants to be here and plays well?
 
I can't help but agree with others that feel he is better off leaving. It's not even whether he wants to be at United or not, it's just that I don't think he is very good. He is a 'hollywood' player with flashes of brilliance but mostly a bit of a disappointment. Bruno at half his cost has shown us what an actual 'impact' player looks like and he is actually consistent.

And I wanted Pogba to succeed at united.

I’m not sure, having a strong British core did seem to be a philosophy he had though, his first transfer window was all British, then Bruno, then he wanted Sancho & Grealish this summer. Saying he wants British players isn’t a criticism by the way. Sancho & Grealish would have been excellent signings.

And the circus will continue next year. Problem with big Raiola clients is that they will look to move every 3-4 years. There is a pattern.

Zlatan , Pogba , Halaand , Lukaku, De ligt- the list goes on.

I think he will goto Juventus. We will most likely end up accepting deferred payments or swapping a player (less likely). I have little doubt that he will regain his best form with them -just look at Morata (poor at Chelsea and AM but back to his best at Juventus). I think some players are just more suited to certain leagues and teams.

I think hell apply himself more when we make it clear we'd let him rot on the benches. He's a top talent and I don't want to go down the road the dippers went when they regularly had to sell their best players because they didn't want to play there. Make it a little harder for them to leave and Pogba will learn, like every other player like him, that he has a lot of work ahead of him to cement their place on the team. If he is unhappy it's not affecting the other players and if he improves he'd be a great option to bring on off the bench. Let him rot if he's not going to commit

He won’t apply himself, he never has. He’s been here for 5 seasons and hasn’t wanted to be here for 3 of those.

Pogba has never been and definitely isn’t now, our best player so don’t worry one bit about him going and it making us weaker. It won’t because no matter who we bring in to replace him, they will be more invested and play better than he has for the best part of 2 seasons.

Why do we want to make it hard for shit players who constantly get their agents to flash their arse at Real Madrid, to stay at United? Here’s an idea, don’t buy them in the first place? Do your homework and stay away from anyone that’s a client of Raiola for a start.

If you seriously think letting Pogba sign a new contract and sit on our bench or reserves at £250k a week you’ve absolutely lost your marbles.

Apart from a lot of diving he hasn't done much has he Grealish that low socked cnut? Pogba on the other hand has probably been our best player this half

?!?! Pogba has been involved in everything for us in that half including starting the attack for the goal with some great skill.

Grealish is a good player but I don’t see why the negative comments on Pogba in that half. He was probably our best player.
 
I hope that was sarcasm because watching their respective performances this half and arriving at that conclusion defies all logic.

Then why the ‘this fixture’?

It’s not even an appropriate comparison anyway, if Pogba goes, Grealish won’t be his replacement. His best positions are Rashford/Bruno’s.

To be fair that‘s irrespective of tonight. I just think Grealish would be magic on that left side for us, twice the player that Pogba is.

Different type of player tbh. I’d love Grealish in the squad.

That said an in form Pogba can do anything Grealish can and more, hard part is getting him in form and firing every game.

Grealish is awesome and I think he would be a fit for us, however the bolded is a bit much, if we take a motivated Pogba. I dont think the difference is that big. It is a separate issue that Grealish is much more consistent but talent wise Pogba is not far behind.

I don’t even know what kind of player Pogba is in all honesty, but I think Grealish would add a hell of a lot more to the position he occupies.

We’ve been talking about having a motivated Pogba for years. It doesn’t exist beyond a couple games every now and then.

How so? We have Greenwood, Rashford, McTominay, AWB, Maguire and Henderson, all of which are regular starters except Henderson. How many more players do you need to call this a "British core"?

He really isn't. When Pogba plays like he did today, he is irreplaceable. Unfortunately, it does happen as often as it should. Architect behind the first and second goal.
