Raheem Sterling

Sterling is a good lad, always thought he was a bit slow like, but his interview on talksport yesterday was pretty decent, funny how he knows how camp his run is, Laos funny how he said he took the run from his mum

Improved massively under the bald one. I wonder if he would have improved anywhere need this much under yellow teeth.

Probably Pep Guardiola's biggest success. One of his most indispensable players.

The most press resistant forward, the best in tight spaces and the best dribbler and pressing forward alongside Gabriel Jesus and the best off the ball movement.

Almost nostalgic with the work Pep Guardiola did with Pedro at Barcelona.

Pedro was a cheating bastard as well.

To be fair, as Henry pointing out, it was him being switched to the number 9 position in the first half that undid us. Bailly was following him out on his runs and our defence was split right open.

The perfect description of Sterling I've seen:

He's not bad per se just the Cavani of wingers, he manages to score bucketloads while missing even more bucketloads but always makes the right run gets in the right position. Strange player, he seems to have zero technique while having great technique.

I have no doubt that Pep's system is making him look better than what he really is.
Him and Sané, like Coman and Costa will still be good players when he leaves just not AS good.

As bad as he has been today, his goals this season are a huge reason why City have marched to the title - scoring the goal to draw against Everton (MD2), scoring that very late winner against Bournemouth in the game after (MD3) and the late winners against Huddersfield (MD13) and Southampton (MD14). Some dropped points in those games instead of going on that 18 league game winning run and the league could have gone down to the wire.

The camera panning to Pep in despair after every missed shot was absolute gold. It could have its own highlights reel

He's actually shite. Which makes it even more annoying that he's won those cnuts about 9-12 points with last minute winners.

Could've been a lot closer title race.

Not just him. Otamendi, Delph, Danilo, Gundogan, Jesus, B Silva. Even Sane. I wouldn't take any of these players at United over the current playing squad. Only players that are proven quality are Kompany, D Silva, KDB and Aguero. Perhaps Fernandinho too but I wouldn't have him. Basically the core that Mancini bought is still carrying them today.

I'm still perplexed as after me calling him the Cavani of wingers apparently he's also the most clinical according to stats.

Bottled it today, could of had a hatrick and put us to bed before HT.

Running like Velma in Scooby Doo doesn’t help either!

@GifLord would you please?

I did notice that too.

You wouldn't take Sane or Fernandinho? I'd have them both in an instant.

Sane will be a monster in a few years time.

Don't agree with this buddy, not on who you'd think is good enough for United, but Kompany is no longer key in our defence, in fact I'd say Otamendi and Laporte are Pep's first choice pairing Only Aguero and Silva from the Mancini era are still key, and of them many were saying Aguero is/should be second fiddle to Jesus which is totally wrong.

I'd take Sane and Sterling easily over any of our wide forwards. One bad week doesn't change how good they've been and how poor ours have been. Today was the first time Sanchez actually looked decent for us, so maybe I'd keep him instead if he manages to keep that form into next season.

Kompany has been your most reliable defender in recent months no? Haven't seen Laporte enough to make a solid judgement but Kompany has always been a leader for you guys. He is proven quality because he's shown his capabilities for a number of seasons under different managers with different setups. Same as Silva and Aguero. He is getting older now but still your best CB. Stones and Otamendi both suspect. I don't think Laporte is proven yet.

I love Komapny but I don't think Pep does. Otamendi is without doubt our first choice CB (and until the last 2 weeks deserving of it, had a bit of a meltdown since) and I firmly believe Pep bought Laporte to start so I think Vinny's days might not be numbered but he's no longer the first name on the teamsheet defensively. If we play a back 4 and not 3 v Liverpool I'd be shocked to see him start.

I keep saying this. It's why I think Pep has done an incredible job but also why I think the idea that we need to spend billions to catch them is wrong. That's for another thread though.
