He was probably just rested for the game at Signal Iduna. 3 games in a week is slightly overkill for a 17 year old. Thursday is a nice opportunity to showcase his talent in front of 80k and possibly multiply his current value.

But what are we basing this on.? Isn't this usual - a player performs well and is automatically linked with man utd. Is there something concrete out there that suggests we were scouting him or are interested in him?

Its now been confirmed from the CEO of Odd that United was at the Dortmund match. He also said that it has been no bid from United, but he would not discuss what has been said between the parts. I guess its something going on, almost for sure.
This kid would be a great signing. We would have the fastest player in the premier league.

"Yes, it may well be that United going to make a inquiry for Rafik. But they have not placed a bid. "

Watch Uniteds 1000 goals at home in the Premier League and you will see some bad defending as well. This kid is a great talent.
