"I cannot say where I'll be in five years. I'm going to give everything, every day, so we'll see where I end up. In my dreams, Manchester United top the wish list."
Sort of transfer I love us making to be honest.
Overmars says helloBut Memphis isn't an out and out winger? LVG doesn't want wingers who keep their boots on the sidelines. He wants them to cut inside more often than not. LVG has his way of playing but no I don't think it's to have out and out wingers.
Looks too much like the lovechild of Stewart Downing and Angel Di Maria for me to take him seriously.
In the fergie years he'd have been the kind of player we'd be signing up... But I think given LVG knows he has limited time he is looking more at the present right now. Don't get me wrong I'm sure he'll leave in place a good foundation with youth but right now his focus is on players who make a difference.
To be fair, he made a difference against Dortmund. He's the type of winger we should be after, very fast, tracks back, has skill and good crossing. Sure he's 17, but if you're good enough you're old enough.

That vid doesn't look that great, relatively quick and good strength but nothing to write home about yet.
He's 17 playing against Dortmund in a CL tie. For a kid so young that's an excellent video imo. Looked composed, tracked back, put in a beauty of an assist and looks fast as feck.
Knowing how Levy works he'll be all over this kid. Wouldn't be a bad shout for Tottenham either as a Chadli understudy. Would get more time to develop at Tottenham than at us and he'd be working with Poch who isn't afraid to throw youngsters into the first team.
Problem is, he's not good enough. To be fair, he made a difference against Dortmund. He's the type of winger we should be after, very fast, tracks back, has skill and good crossing. Sure he's 17, but if you're good enough you're old enough.
Neither is odengaard.Problem is, he's not good enough.
Might become, but that could be said for a lot of youngsters.
Whats happening with daehli btw? All this talk about norwegian youngsters has reminded me of him.
Moved to Freiburg, who ended up relegated. Got injured soon after his move and is just now about to come back from it afaik.
This news breaking just a couple of hours after his game against Dortmund seems a bit suspicious.
Ødegaard is currently better, and is more ready for the Premier League than Rafik.Neither is odengaard.
The idea is that these kids will become good enough.
Neither are good enough for us yet which is the point. We would buy 17 year olds for potential.Ødegaard is currently better, and is more ready for the Premier League than Rafik.
Ødegaard was the best player in the Norwegian league, which is dominated by physical play rather than nice technical play, as a 15-year old technical player; Rafik has so far 203 minutes of professional football.
The comment I replied to was about him being "ready despite his age".Neither are good enough for us yet which is the point. We would buy 17 year olds for potential.

Did you check it before you replied to me at all?
I know what you/he said. I'm saying we would buy a kid for potential. The comment I replied to was about him being "ready despite his age".

You implied it with the "if your good enough your old enough" comment.Who said that?
Yet you felt the need to talk about Ødegaard, when my only comment was that Rafik isn't ready/good enough?I know what you/he said. I'm saying we would buy a kid for potential.
You sound touchy about odengaard. If you disagree with what I'm actually, you could just say so.Yet you felt the need to talk about Ødegaard, when my only comment was that Rafik isn't ready/good enough?
It's not like I'm a big fan of Ødegaard, so whatever you tried to attempt with that comment just seems weird, and even if i were, it wouldn't change the weirdness of your comment.
I even stated that Rafik could become good enough in the future, so the way you portray it as if I didn't acknowledge we'd buy him for the talents sake is just daft.
Are you trolling or is this your way of trying to get as many posts as possible? You sound touchy about odengaard. If you disagree with what I'm actually, you could just say so.
My comment made sense, which is the real point. And one it seems you agree with. I don't have to mention who you do. I can use examples of my own *shock horror*Are you trolling or is this your way of trying to get as many posts as possible?
I stated that bringing in Ødegaard into the discussion to me seems daft, especially considering i never mentioned him before you did, and that your comment made no sense whatsoever as a counterpoint to what i wrote in response to redsky.

You're just arguing semantics. I'd let this pointlessness go.

Like every post of yours. How about letting go of someone mentioning Odengard? Are you this attached or this young?Yes.
Your comment was a brilliant and intelligent input that we couldn't be without.
I let it go, i didn't highlight it now in the summary of your posts stupidity and ignorance, it seems you who remains attached to him considering that you are the one bringing him up all the time.Like every post of yours. Don't answer that. And don't respond either. Cheers for this interaction, Ødegaard.
Calm yourself down, princess.I let it go, i didn't highlight it now in the summary of your posts stupidity and ignorance, it seems you who remains attached to him considering that you are the one bringing him up all the time.
2/10 trolling, try to improve.
You implied it with the "if your good enough your old enough" comment.
