What's Real Madrid's spanish forum? I think a bit of gloating is on the cards.

he knows how to dress himself when arriving at a club

New definition of being overdressed. :)

I never said it was a waste of money but £24M for a 1 season loan of a striker when we already have 2 great options for what think should be one spot is riduculous imo.

We would be better off splashing the cash in almost any other area of the pitch. It almost seems like we had the No.9 shirt vacant so just decided to buy someone to fill it.

By the way, how much is the option to buy?
Its not 24 million pounds mate, closer to 18 I think. The buy option is close to ~42m and I also read that the loan fee is deductible from that.

The 24m along with the 365k a week is complete bollocks. Odgen stirring things up as usual.

feck me he's fecking good isn't he??
I can't claim to have watched much of him but loads of people are saying that a year ago he was the best pure number 9 in the world. That video doesn't do anything to harm those claims at all

Have known about this for about 8 hours now and it still has not sunk in. It is really said to see Welbeck and Hernandez go but what a replacement.

No matter who starts or doesn't start one thing is guaranteed and that is we are going to have some amazing backup on the bench.

Remember when he destroyed, I mean utterly anihilated, Chelsea in the Super Cup?

Do they not allow proper SUVs across the pond? I understand Escalades and Denalis aren't actually Chevy, but surely a Tahoe would be better. Superstars here would never be caught in one of those...

Not all 'superstars' here drive fancy cars. Drew Barrymore and Demi Moore both drive a Prius FFS

What's the story with his injury? We weren't willing to go for Vidal but are willing to go for him?

I think we're trying to sign all good looking players.

We loaned him because he recovered from a very serious injury just before the world cup. He's fine now because it was an impact injury, we just wanted to loan him for a year before we make it permanent just to be on the safe side before we spend 45m or so the media are saying.

I think for sure RVP is injured. No way we suddenly buy Falcao with a fully fit Rooney/RVP partnership already in place.

If the rumours of RvP needing an operation are true, then this loan deal makes a lot of sense to me. We get cover for RvP whilst he's out, and if we like the look of him and he performs for us, we have the option of making him a permanent signing. It's pretty much a try before you buy kinda thing really. I think he'll be a success here, and we will most probably make him a permanent signing.

Going 4-3-3 is going to be harder to fit everyone in especially if RVP is fit.
We could just rotate Rooney and RvP. I'd prefer Rooney coming of the bench or playing in behind RvP to be honest. He's got to up his game now we've got some serious competition for him, don't get me wrong, he's been great but I think he needs to perform at a higher level consistently if he wants a permanent place.

Cant believe we are signing Radamel fecking Falcao. Staggering. Thought he was nailed on for Madrid this summer.
