Hopefully we'll get a hammering vs Brighton, just like against Fulham, beating them 3-1.Think we’ll beat Everton and forest in the next 2 games. Spurs away will be tough and I’m worried we’re in for 1 more battering this season away to Brighton.
Yes, calling us names is certainly going to hinder our development!! But you’re correct on qualification for CL, it will boost our income and ability to attract better players, young elite players like Bruno G and dare I say Isak.I realize it is sacrilege - I do love beating Spurs and St Totteringham's Day. However, the pragmatist in me sees Newcastle as the bigger threat - them missing CL could stall their evolution into another Man City. Also loathe their time wasting, manager, the way they play and the players in their side. Just a scummy side all around.
Hopefully Spurs winning against City wont mean we're drop of out of top 4.
You'd still be convinced it was a good result for us if we doHopefully Spurs winning against City wont mean we're drop of out of top 4.
I've still got a tiny bit of hope for Brighton. They really are inoffensive, no-one minds them getting 4th surely?
Group stage. Had been years since UEFA ditched the qualifying round for Serie A, La Liga, PL and Bundesliga. Better commercial value to ensure the top league teams at least play in group stage.does 4th still have to play the qualifying round for UCL or do they go straight in to the group stages?
Your posts are a comedy relief at this point. You'd still be convinced it was a good result for us if we do
They've spent all season dropping points to absolute dross. Is there a way Liverpool could sneak up in the race? The only tough game they have left is Arsenal away... after that it's games they should win quite easily.
I really hope they keep playing shite though... seeing both them and Chelsea not get any kind of european action next season would be hilarious
It's possible but unlikely. Would mean:Is there a way Liverpool could sneak up in the race? The only tough game they have left is Arsenal away... after that it's games they should win quite easily.

Sometimes, not having Euro nights helps with the domestic campaign. Although Chelsea has such a bloated squad, they could use the extra games. Is there a way Liverpool could sneak up in the race? Does anyone know what the situation is regarding qualifying rounds next season for 3rd and 4th places?
CheersNo qualifications straight into the leagues.
Hasn’t been a thing in the PL for 8 years now. All top 4 go straight in.Does anyone know what the situation is regarding qualifying rounds next season for 3rd and 4th places?

It's possible but unlikely. Would mean:
(a) them going on a consistent run and winning most of their remaining matches
(b) United or Newcastle having a major slump
And
(c) Spurs and Brighton not doing similar.
It's Arsenal at Anfield, not away.Is there a way Liverpool could sneak up in the race? The only tough game they have left is Arsenal away... after that it's games they should win quite easily.

If they win every game left (10 games) they can at most have 73 points. Looking at our fixtures I'm guessing United ends on 72-75 points and Newcastle ends on 68-71 points. Basically... Liverpool needs to be perfect to get 4th.Is there a way Liverpool could sneak up in the race? The only tough game they have left is Arsenal away... after that it's games they should win quite easily.

Also if I remember correctly, I believe we effectively get 5 places next season with the rule changes about countries performing the best getting an extra space.Does anyone know what the situation is regarding qualifying rounds next season for 3rd and 4th places?
It’s been the lesser teams that have been Liverpools problem. Their record against teams in the bottom half has been shocking this season. They’ve blown top 4 now.Is there a way Liverpool could sneak up in the race? The only tough game they have left is Arsenal away... after that it's games they should win quite easily.

Worrying with us playing Forest new manager bounce and then Spurs away although Spurs and Newcastle have to play eachother.
I think we’re all good but I was hoping at least one of them would drop points today! Especially given the half time score lines. Right pisstake.
