Might pick up an Xbox One and get Forza 3,4 and 6. Such a great variety of games.

Being sensible for a sec, there's obviously some good games there. Hardly the be all and end all of gaming when looking at the big picture though.

To be fair, Horizon is the main one I'd want to play. Unfortunatly Elvis shot you guys in the foot trying to be a smart arse, so it's declassified as an exclusive. I'd give God of War a blast too.
You can buy my pro when I get the PS5. Honestly HZD and God of War were brilliant games. It’s between those two and Breath of the Wild for my favourite game this gen.

You missed one at least (Ori & Blind Forest 88). Why 87 by the way? Appreciate we have to pick somewhere but quite a few close to that (86: Horizon 2, Motorsport 7, Gears 5, Killer Instinct, Titanfall. 85: Halo CC. 84 - Halo 5, Gears 4, Rare Replay). Flight Sim will be added to the list at some point (92). I am sure Sony's list would only get bigger too if we reduced the number - I don't think anybody really believes X One's exclusive output was better than PS4. Nor that the first party output was poor on Xbox One.
What's interesting is what happens to your list just by adding the Bethesda games from last gen, especially as Phil has basically confirmed what we thought (that they are unlikely to be released on PS5)

And, with respect, the Forza Horizon series is the sort of series that some people do just own a console for. It's fecking class, and has so much content and replay value (as well as great multiplayer)
I do know that Game Pass was exclusive to Xbox, and that's been worth more than all the PS4 exclusives to me in the past 2 years (even though I have a PS4)

Sea of Thieves got a lot of downvotes by the whining Xbox players and the "captains" (read: insane trash at games losers who have to use alliance servers to level up) who hate pvp. It's ongoing to this day their pathetic whining.

I agree with you completely on the metacritic limitations - especially when it comes to games with post-launch support. If Sea of Thieves for Xbox and Days Gone for PS4 were reviewed now, they'd definitely get higher ratings than initially, which was 69 for SoT and 71 for DG. Picked 87 as the cut off purely as it seemed upper-80s onwards was a good place to start and 86 is closer to mid 80s. No scientific reasoning.
For sure. Was going to mention that in the original post but wanted to get to watching the match. Although the games with high ratings were thin on the ground, you've definitely remedied that and the variety of genres (expanding beyond racing) with the studio acquisitions and next gen the list of 87+ Xbox exclusives should be at least quadrupled.
